There is also a night rest in Nha Trang: there are modern clubs, night bars with live music, beer bars. Of course, this is far from Walking Street in Pattaya, and even far from evening entertainment street in Ho Chi Minh City, but you can find places to dance, sit with a hookah and have a beer, or even find girls here. • Yasaka Club is not really a club, but rather an institution for those who want to eat with loud music (reviews are here).

• WAVE is a spacious night place where you can eat and dance, but is more often visited by locals than tourists (reviews are here).

But, perhaps, it is worth noting that in all night establishments you should be careful with orders and expenses. Here, unfortunately, old wiring is widely practiced with menu substitution (take a photo when ordering), attributing to the check what you did not order (check everything carefully), and adding to the table and to the check what you did not order. Finally, if you want to relax in a very adult way, you can go to the casino. • Cham Towers (Tyamov) (Po Nagar Cham Towers)

  

  The four towers of the mighty Cham kingdom were built between the 7th and 12th century. Originally, eight towers were built each at different times, but only four survived. • Long Son Pagoda and Sitting Buddha

  

  This very beautiful pagoda was first erected in 1886 on Mount Trai Thuy, and in 1900, after it was damaged during a storm, it was restored and moved to its present location. In 1963, the pagoda was dedicated to the memory of monks who defiantly died in protest against US policies that supported the regime of the first president of South Vietnam, Ngo Dinh Diem. At the top of the hill, not far from the pagoda, there is a 14-meter statue of a white Buddha sitting in a lotus flower, which can be seen from anywhere in the city. • Nha Trang Catholic Cathedral (Nha Trang Cathedral)

  

  The beautiful building of Nha Trang Cathedral is located on a hill in the city center and is clearly visible from the surrounding urban areas. To get closer to it, you will have to climb up the stone stairs a little, from where, by the way, a panoramic view of the city opens. Statues of Jesus and the Virgin Mary are installed around the perimeter of the outer courtyard, there is a wall in which the ashes of deceased people rest. There is peace and tranquility inside the temple, and anyone can come and spend some time here. The stained glass windows and the interior of the church are interesting.

• Embankment and "Lotus Tower"

  

  This is a favorite place for walking at any time of the day, both the residents of the city and its guests. The wide park area is beautifully decorated with greenery and sculptures, manicured lawns and lawns, fountains and benches. The length of the continuous embankment line is about 4 kilometers, and in total – almost 6 kilometers. In our opinion, this is the best promenade in the whole of Vietnam, there is definitely nothing like this in terms of scale and length here. The central place on the embankment is a tower resembling an opening lotus bud, it is also called "lotus tower". However, in fact, this is the flower of the agar tree, so the tower is called Tram Huong or Agarwood Tower, it is the symbol of Nha Trang. • Central Market (Chodam, also Cho Da Market)

  

  The central market of Nha Trang Cho Dam or Dam Market is a very popular place among tourists vacationing in Nha Trang, perhaps you can even say it is a must-visit, and more than once. Even groups are taken here on sightseeing buses. Everything is sold here: clothes, souvenirs, food, including fresh exotic fruits.In the central part of the market, where the parking lot and the main entrance are under the sign, there is a brisk fruit trade for tourists at somewhat inflated prices. If you want to save money, do not rush to buy at the main entrance and where there are many tourists, but take a walk around. • Night market

  

  This is a typical Asian market for tourists with the usual set of goods: souvenirs, clothes, shoes, accessories, jewelry, tea, coffee, dried fruits. The market is small and the choice of goods is mediocre. More suitable for an evening walk than for serious shopping. Prices are very high and if you are determined to buy something, then be prepared to bargain 2 or 3 times reducing the price. • Chua Tu Ton Pagoda (Chua Tu Ton or Hon Do Pagoda, Temple of the Sun)

  

  The Chua Tu Ton Pagoda (Chua Tu Ton or Hon Do Pagoda, Temple of the Sun) is located 250 m from the shore on the small rocky island of Hon Do. The island is uninhabited and covered with thickets, among which there are temple buildings, statues of Avalokiteshvara, a bell tower. This Buddhist temple was built by monks and followers of Buddhism for 40 years (since 1960). The peculiarity of the island, in addition to the temple itself, are the red rocks framing the island.

• Oceanographic Museum (National Oceanographic Museum of Vietnam)

  

  The Museum-aquarium operates on the basis of the Institute of Oceanography, founded in 1923. It would be a great place to get to know yourself and introduce children to the inhabitants of the ocean, if not for its neglect. Unfortunately, most of the exhibition looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the museum was founded. The glass of the aquariums is dirty, the walls of the pools are overgrown with algae, the water is muddy, there are a lot of mosquitoes flying in the rooms. Some information plates in the museum are duplicated in Russian, but in most cases there is not even a description in English. If you get here at a time when tourist groups are not brought to the museum, you will almost certainly be the only visitors here.

  Despite this, this place is very interesting and worth a visit. The collection is simply huge, and even a cursory inspection of the exhibits will take at least an hour. The most important thing during the inspection is not to go astray and thereby finish the inspection ahead of time. • Bao Dai Villas

  

  Bao Dai Villas have been closed for restoration for many years and it is not yet known when they will be opened and in what capacity (hotel or museum).

  Five villas of Bao Dai, built in the early 20s of the XX century, are located on three hills 3 kilometers south of the city. They have different architectural styles and are surrounded by a beautiful shady park with old trees. From the hills there is a magnificent view of the bay. However, this place is interesting not only for its view and architecture, but also for the history of buildings. After all, they were built for the last emperor of Vietnam, Bao Dai, who ruled from 1925 to 1945. After his reign and up to 1975, the villas were used by high-ranking officials of the South Vietnamese government. After 1975, it was the residence of high-ranking leaders of the Communist Party.

  Currently, in addition to the expositions, some of the buildings have been converted into a hotel, and any tourist can try on the luxury of the ruling elite and rent a room here, especially since most of the furnishings of the villas have not undergone any changes over the past decades. Visitors to this museum are given (for a fee) the opportunity to try on luxurious royal costumes, sit on the throne and take pictures (for 29,000 DONG), as well as place their photo on a mug or plate, and purchase souvenirs.

• Khanh Hoa Museum

  

  This is something like a local history or local ethnic museum, where exhibits of the Cham people, inhabitants of the powerful Cham kingdom, which used to be located on the lands of Nha Trang, are collected. There are also more modern exhibits, including some of the things that belonged to Uncle Ho Chi Minh City.

  Unfortunately, despite the large building of the museum, its exhibition is not large. Therefore, perhaps it is not worth recommending that you definitely get here for a maximum of a 20-minute walk through several rooms of the museum. • Museum of Alexander Yersin (Alexandre Yersin Museum)

  

  This attraction is not for the average tourist, but it is impossible not to tell about it. There is even a street named after Dr. Yersin in the city. The museum is dedicated to the work of Dr. Alexander Ersin of Swiss origin, who came to Vietnam in 1891 to study sick animals, and stayed here forever. But he did not limit himself to studying sick animals and developing vaccines against diseases. He was the first to plant rubber and quince trees in Vietnam.

  It is also called Cape Hong Chong or Hong Chong Beach. This is a small cape, on which, either naturally or artificially, a pile of stones of unusual shape appeared, which are now called the stone garden or the stone park. This place is quite beautiful and from here there are picturesque views, especially at sunset.

• New Hot Springs and Mud 100 Egg Mud Bath

  

  These springs have reopened recently after reconstruction, and therefore there are still few vacationers here and all the facilities are relatively fresh. The peculiarity of these springs is its interior design: the territory itself is beautifully decorated with flowering shrubs, figurines and installations, green lawns everywhere and an infinite number of eggs of different colors and sizes. Attractions in the vicinity of Nha Trang

And here is a selection of the most interesting places in the vicinity of Nha Trang. To get to them, you will have to rent a transport or hire a taxi for a long trip (preferably negotiate in both directions at once), and some places can only be reached by water. But there is also a simpler and more inexpensive way compared to a taxi – these are group excursions that are sold in hotels, from distributors on the streets and in street travel agencies, as well as online.

• The city of Dalat

  

  This is one of the most fascinating destinations for excursions from Nha Trang. This is a mountain resort, and there are no beaches here. But it can surprise with picturesque natural views – waterfalls, lakes, green hills. In Dalat you can see beautiful pagodas, visit the historical museum, drink real coffee at the coffee farm and even get into the "madhouse". Dalat is also a city of flowers, coffee and fruits, and there are many plantations that can also be visited.

  Nha Trang has the longest cable car laid over the sea (length 3,320 m). The cabins fly over the sea at an altitude of 40 to 60 meters. It can take you to Hon Tre Island and VinWonders Amusement Park in 12 minutes. VinWonders Park includes a water park, an Underwater World aquarium with 300 species of marine animals and 90 meters of tunnels; a music and laser show; a 4D cinema and much more. • The grave of Alexander Yersin

  

  This is the real burial place of the most famous bacteriologist of European origin in Vietnam, Alexander Yersin. It is noticeable that the grave is being looked after, everything looks well-groomed and clean. The grave is nothing special, it's just a modest tombstone and benches in a shady forest. Yersin spent a third of his life in Vietnam, lived and worked in Saigon, Hanoi. His research work led to the formation of the city of Dalat, which was originally organized as a medical resort due to its mild climate. • Dien Khanh Citadel

  

  Dien Khanh Citadel or Dien Khanh Citadel is one of the oldest fortresses in South Vietnam and one of the few historical sights of Nha Trang of the late Middle Ages. It was erected in 1793 for Emperor Gia Long (Gia Long or Nguyen Anh) during his fierce struggle for power. The construction was carried out by the French, supporting the emperor. The most interesting thing about the citadel is the preserved gate towers, against which beautiful photos are obtained.   One of the largest salt production facilities in Vietnam is located near Nha Trang. Yes, salt is produced here, and not mined, as in our country.   This is not just a waterfall, but a whole eco-park with recreation and entertainment areas, swimming pools, hot springs, mud baths, a zoo, a crocodile farm and much more. And all this is visited by one ticket. In our opinion, this is a great place for a relaxing holiday and pleasant impressions, where you should definitely go from Nha Trang. And if you compare, for example, with other popular Ba Ho waterfalls, then we would definitely recommend coming to Yang Bay. But if time and money allow, it is better to visit both places in order to decide for yourself where it is more interesting for you. Group excursions from Nha Trang are taken here, but they are limited in time and do not allow you to see the whole park and enjoy swimming in the hot springs and waterfall here to the fullest.   From the very name it is not difficult to imagine who are the rightful owners of this island. According to some reports, there are several hundred monkeys here today, and there used to be thousands. They were specially bred for various purposes, one of them was delivery to the USSR for scientific research.

  Monkeys are kept in natural conditions, walking around the island without fear. Moreover, their main accumulation is observed not at the pier itself, but if you go a little deeper into the island.   This is a great place for snorkeling and diving, thanks to the clear and clean water. Corals, a variety of fish and shellfish can be viewed close to the shore. This place is very popular with oceanographers and researchers of the underwater world, as well as among amateurs. There are caves-tunnels here, where you can also watch sea creatures. The beach is rocky in places, but there are good sandy strips, especially near the marina. You can rent a boat with a transparent bottom to observe the seascapes.   This is a natural landmark known as Orchid Island, not really an island, but a remote place on the Hon Heo Peninsula. People come here by boat to touch the natural beauties and enjoy the scenery. The territory is covered with forests, small streams and waterfalls.   It is located on the island of Hon Mieu and attracts attention, first of all, by its appearance, because it looks like a pirate ghost ship from an adventure novel. Inside the building contains information about sunken ships, samples of ancient marine fossils and real representatives of marine creatures inhabiting the South China Sea are exhibited. There are many aquariums with a variety of marine life – sharks, turtles, fish, corals. You can visit it on your own and with an excursion.   This is a relatively new and the only theater in Nha Trang that preserves the national features of the theater on the water. Opened in 2023, the new Libera district, still under construction, north of the center of Nha Trang. Based on the innovations of traditional water puppet theater, it is a unique combination of various theatrical forms, including water puppet theater, shadow theater, puppet theater familiar to us, modern dance accompanied by the folklore orchestra of the indigenous peoples of Southeast Asia. Its height is 44 meters, you can see it from afar.   This is one of the most beautiful monasteries in Nha Trang and an underrated tourist attraction. You can only get here on your own, probably because the place is little visited. It is a large complex with various temple buildings, surrounded by flowering plants. Pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and well-groomed territory of the temple. The first thing that comes across on the way to the temple is a statue of the golden Buddha and a picturesque Japanese courtyard with a lake, in the center of which there is a pavilion. This place is often compared to the Japanese Kinkaku-ji temple in Kyoto. All the local buildings in the complex are made in the spirit of Japanese architecture mixed with local traditional architectural styles, so the pagoda has another name – Japanese Pagoda or Golden Pagoda. • The island of Khon is where the healing mud is

  This is a resort island with natural landscapes, clean beaches and therapeutic procedures for improving the body. The place is popular and often visited both by independent tourists and as part of excursion groups. You can get to it only by boat by purchasing a complex ticket, including delivery from the pier to the island and the use of a set of services, depending on the type of ticket purchased (A and B).
