This place is notable for the fact that there is a statue of Buddha Amitabha, which until 2012 was considered the tallest in Vietnam, and probably remains the tallest in the vicinity of Nha Trang. Its height is 44 meters, you can see it from afar. However, this place is little known among tourists, you can only get here on your own by rented transport or taxi, there are no large excursion groups here. Tranquility, silence, meditation – that's why it's worth coming here.
The statue impresses with its scale and tranquility, with which the Buddha looks at the surroundings around him. The architecture of the towers with carved elements surrounding the statue is also fascinating. At the base of the statue there are cells for storing the ashes of the dead, and behind it there is a cemetery. There is a steep staircase leading up to the statue, but during our visit it was closed, so we definitely won't say that it is possible to climb it. The surrounding area is surrounded by greenery, here you can meet monkeys.
To the right of the statue is the Buddhist temple of Tong Lam Lo Son (Tong Lam Lo Son Pagoda), which is also called Da Lo (Da Lo Pagoda). The decoration inside the temple contains wooden elements (columns, flooring, furniture), which creates a feeling of lightness and airiness of the building. It is unusual that the prayer hall is located on the second floor, and not on the ground floor, as is usually the case in Buddhist temples. From the platform of the second floor of the temple there is also a good view of the green fields and the village.
From the historical information about the Tong Lam Lo Son temple, it is known that it was established in 1957. At that time, a war was being waged in Vietnam and the territories surrounding the temple were dug up by mines and mined. After the destruction of the first temple and until 1995, being here was dangerous because of unexploded mines. It took decades to carry out work on demining the areas. But, there is a possibility that there are still unexploded mines in the depths of the remaining mines. Since the 2000s, the temple has been revived and its construction continues to this day.

The Amitabha Buddha Statue and the Tong Lam Lo Son Pagoda are located on the outskirts of Nha Trang, 10 kilometers from the center (Amitabha Buddha Statue and Tong Lam Lo Son Pagoda in Nha Trang on the map). You can only get there by rented transport or taxi.
