• Halong Bay

  Halong Bay or bay is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and is also recognized as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. This is a bay in the Gulf of Tonkin of the South China Sea in the north of the country, interesting because it has more than 3000 limestone islands with rocks, caves, bays and grottoes. The views of the Bay are among the most recognizable, the hallmark of Vietnam.

  Halong is located in the north of the country, and it is most convenient and cheapest to visit it with a tour from Hanoi. But from the rest of the resorts of Vietnam, excursions are offered, including from the south, but you will have to fly by plane, which is why the cost is much higher. The excursion in most cases is a one-or two-day boat cruise with a visit to one or more islands and caves, a floating village. Hanoi is so interesting and full of sights that two or three days here will fly by like a moment. Here you must see: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of literature, Hanoi Citadel, women's Museum, Ho Chi Minh Museum, One Pillar Pagoda, Lake of the returned sword and turtle temple, Puppet Theater on the water ,and otherattractions of Hanoi. If possible, you should also poison yourself from here on an excursion to the fragrant Pagoda. And these are only the most important sights of Hanoi, and only four times as many.

  You can visit Hanoi in the form of an excursion from any resort in Vietnam. But it is quite comfortable and inexpensive to organize a trip to the capital for one or two days on your own. If time permits, you can spend five days in Hanoi, because from here it is most convenient to visit Halong Bay and the mountain town of Sapa in the form of an excursion.

  In the north of Vietnam is a place that should not be missed if you have even a drop of the spirit of adventure. Around Sapa many villages of ethnic tribes are scattered on the slopes of the mountains, and the valleys are decorated with picturesque landscapes of mountain rivers and Emerald rice terraces. Here is also the highest peak of the country - Mount Fansipan (Fansipan). If you are ready to go camping for adventure – the best place in Vietnam can not be found.

  Hoi An can be visited in the form of excursions for several days from Nha Trang or Mui Ne, but it is much more interesting to come and plunge into its atmosphere on your own, without a tour group. Some tourists choose it as the main place of rest, because there are also wonderful beaches.

• My Son Ruins

  My Son Ruins (also Myson) are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Once there was a whole city of the ancient kingdom of Champa, today there are only a few ruins that are constantly being restored, including from the destruction after the war with the United States (the monument was almost completely leveled by American bombers).

  The ruins are located near Hoi An and are quite accessible for an independent visit or as part of an excursion from the town. From other resorts it is best to visit Michon as part of an excursion to Hoi An.

• Hue Fortress

  Hue is the former imperial capital of Vietnam. Today it is a city where many attractions have been preserved, the central of which is the imperial fortress. In addition to the fortress, there are also several museums, temples, Imperial graves are scattered around the city. It is impossible not to mention the fragrant River Huong, passing through the city.

  Hue can be visited both with an excursion and come to the city on your own for a few days.

• Shondong Cave (Son Dung)

  

  This is another natural wonder of Vietnam, and quite new. It was discovered by British scientists only in 2009, and before that only the locals knew about it. It is notable for the fact that it is the largest cave in the world. It is so huge that a whole small city can fit here. Its length is 5 kilometers, and the maximum height and width are 200 and 150 meters, respectively.

  Unfortunately, the cave is located in a very inaccessible place in the jungles of central Vietnam, and you can get into it only as part of a serious expedition group, and for a lot of money. Therefore, it is not necessary to include it in your route.
