Sergey Mitrofanov

Founder and lead author of the "Our 🌍 Planet" travel guide website. My goal is to create truly honest travel guides and practical travel articles that help tourists organize their trips independently and without overspending.

My journey in professional tourism began in 2005. Since then, I've spent most of my time on extended trips. My main specialization is Asian countries and regions of the Russian Federation. Thailand and Vietnam hold a special place in my heart — I've studied hundreds of routes there in detail, but I also explore other countries in this amazing region with undiminished enthusiasm.

The second key focus of my work is Russia. Over many years of travel, I've extensively explored almost all of Southern Russia, studying all the southern regions, resorts, and hundreds of large and small cities. During these expeditions, I've built a unique personal collection — nearly half a million photos of attractions, natural sites, and cities, many of which have become the foundation for the travel guides on this site.
