Vacation in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne and Why Go Here
Phan Thiet (Phan Thiet, also Phan Thiet) – a city in southern Vietnam on the coast of the South China Sea, approximately 200 km from Ho Chi Minh City, the capital of the large southern province of Binh Thuan (Phan Thiet and Mui Ne on the interactive map of Vietnam). This is a large city by Vietnamese standards, its population is 23,000 people. Mui Ne (Mui Ne, Mui Ne, Mui Ne, also popularly called Muinya or Muinevka) - this is a village and a resort area of the same name, stretching for many kilometers along a sandy beach on the outskirts of Phan Thiet.
Actually, when talking about tourist Phan Thiet, it most often implies, first of all, the Mui Ne resort, since there is absolutely nothing for tourists to do in Phan Thiet itself. Mui Ne is called differently - a resort, beach, cape, peninsula, city, but in essence, the place Mui Ne itself, located approximately 22 kilometers from the center of Phan Thiet, is simply a fishing village. However, the beaches and all tourist infrastructure are located neither in Mui Ne village nor in Phan Thiet city, but on the coast stretching more than 10 kilometers between Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, which is called the Mui Ne Beach resort area.
But vacation in Phan Thiet is not limited only and exclusively to Mui Ne. Because besides this, there are also resort areas and beaches here, for example, Hon Rom beach, Bikini Beach and others. For now, they are less developed, but are actively being developed and built. To understand how everything is arranged here and choose the right place for vacation, we advise you to definitely read our guide to beaches and areas of Phan Thiet, as well as 📹 watch the full video review.
So, Phan Thiet / Mui Ne is one of the most popular, if not the most popular resort in Vietnam among Russians. It is so popular that many local restaurants have menus in Russian, signs in Russian are found everywhere on the streets, tours are conducted in Russian. In one of the local cafes you can watch Russian films, and many shops on the street in the resort area are focused on the Russian language and employ people from the CIS.
The entire tourist area of Mui Ne Beach lies along the coast and hotels here are located, with rare exceptions, right on the beach. Literally stepping out of the hotel you will find yourself on a sandy beach, which is very cool. The beach here is public, although it is conditionally divided between hotels, but no one will forbid you to relax in any place you like.
All necessary infrastructure for tourists has been created and is very actively developing here, although Mui Ne is not yet abundant with nightlife establishments (but they exist). There are many restaurants, bars, massage parlors, and in the vicinity there are several natural, historical and cultural attractions. On the beach you can engage in water sports and entertainment, and on land for enthusiasts there is a golf course in the elite Sea Links area. As for specifically nightlife, several nightclub-bars with electronic and live music work in Mui Ne, but in recent years there has been some decline, which is believed to be related to the influx of package tourists of the older generation from Russia. Here are some famous Mui Ne nightclubs: Club 68 on the beach (68 Nguyen Dinh Chieu), Dragon Beach with access to the beach, DJ Station (closed) - one of the most progressive places (120C Nguyen Dinh Chieu), Snow Club (closed) - a place with calm music (109 Nguyen Dinh Chieu), Ocean Republic (closed) - another one of the most advanced places (120 Nguyen Dinh Chieu).
Also, Mui Ne is a "Mecca" for windsurfing, kitesurfing, and, to some extent, surfing. It is believed that the best conditions for these sports in all of Asia are here. It is thanks to surfers and kiters that this place became so popular and has turned into a popular resort today.
Phan Thiet is slightly less popular than the most popular resort in Vietnam, Nha Trang, at the same time, many tourists face the choice of where is better to go: Nha Trang or Phan Thiet and Mui Ne.
Phan Thiet is a bit more relaxed in terms of entertainment and nightlife than Nha Trang. Nha Trang is a fairly large city and hotels there are located right in the city (with the exception of island ones, of which there are very few), while in Phan Thiet the resort area is located 7 kilometers from the city and is populated mainly by tourists and tourism industry workers, and hotels are right on the beach. The author's opinion is that Phan Thiet is more democratic and more beach-oriented, there are more young people coming for water sports, more tourists. Nha Trang gives the feeling of a city-resort, while Phan Thiet is simply a large resort village by the sea. In general, to avoid making a mistake in your choice, read information about both resorts, reviews and choose what is closer to your spirit and easier on your wallet.

What Beaches are in Mui Ne
The quality of Mui Ne beaches is the subject of much debate, especially on the Internet. Some stubbornly argue that the beaches in Mui Ne are no good, while others, on the contrary, write in reviews about how wonderful and snow-white the beaches are here. But, as usual - the truth is somewhere in the middle. There are no palms stretching to the water right at the water's edge, the sand is not snow-white and fine as flour. Also, the weather often spoils everything, namely wind and waves, which prevent comfortable swimming and bring garbage from the sea to the shore. The same waves make the water somewhat cloudy.
At the same time, the beach here is very wide and long (but not everywhere), excellent for walking along the shore, quite well-equipped (there are sunbeds, water activities, cafes and restaurants come right out onto the beach, board rentals and kitesurfing and surfing schools), and, most importantly, it is located very close to most hotels in the resort area. There is, however, one more feature in connection with this: hotels that are located directly on the beach try in every possible way to obstruct the path to the beach from the main road that runs through the entire resort area. This creates some inconvenience for those who choose more economical hotels located across the road from the beaches, but it is still possible to find passages between hotels, and in some cases you can simply walk "brazenly" through the territory of someone else's hotel.

Infrastructure in Mui Ne and Phan Thiet
Here we must remind again that Phan Thiet and Mui Ne are different places, and the infrastructure in them differs greatly.
All city infrastructure is concentrated in Phan Thiet, but there is almost nothing touristy. The main bus station is located here, on the outskirts of the city there is a railway station, two large shopping centers and supermarkets Coop Mart and Lotte Mart, electronics stores, a large local market, medical facilities.
In the Mui Ne resort area, stretched for many kilometers along the coast, on the contrary, all tourist infrastructure is located. For the most part, you will find here everything you need for a vacation: travel agencies, transport rentals, currency exchange offices, laundries, massage parlors, spas, even some entertainment. All this is mainly concentrated along the main street of the resort area, so there will be no problems with navigation and searching for something specific.

Shopping in Mui Ne and Phan Thiet, Where and What to Buy
There are also shops, pharmacies, markets here, and not only tourist ones. Here are the main shopping points:
- Bach hoa XANH and Winmart – two local chain supermarkets like our "Pyaterochka".
- Cho Ham Tien - the local Ham Tien market, the main one in the Mui Ne resort area, located near the aforementioned Bach hoa XANH supermarket.
- Cho Mui Ne – local market in Mui Ne village, and as it seemed to us, fruit prices are cheaper there.
- Coop Mart and Lotte Mart – the largest shopping centers, but they are in Phan Thiet. You can get to Coop Mart by bus №1, to Lotte Mart you will have to go with a transfer or by taxi.
In addition, there are small local shops, street stalls or shops specializing in tourists almost everywhere, selling alcohol, souvenirs, goods for vacation, coffee. Fruits and vegetables can be bought from street stalls or at markets. Well, if you need to buy more products, cheaper and more varied, then it makes sense to go to Coop Mart or Lotte Mart. For example, factory-ground coffee for home, different "goodies", local semi-finished products we always buy there, it is noticeably cheaper there. As for buying Vietnamese coffee, it can be bought in almost every shop and at markets. But be careful with branded coffee shops where tourists are brought during group tours: prices there may be greatly inflated. In general, it's better to study our article about Vietnamese coffee with prices to have an idea of how much it costs and where it's better to buy it.
Well, if you urgently need to buy something from electronics, for example, replace a broken smartphone or buy an additional memory card, then you can immediately go to the chain electronics supermarket Dien may XANH (Green Machine) in the center of Phan Thiet on Tran Hung Dao street, this is within walking distance from Coop Mart. However, we do not advise getting carried away with purchases there: we compared prices, they are the same here, and often even higher than in the Russian Federation for the same models, and you will also be left without a warranty.
Where and What to Eat in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne
Phan Thiet and Mui Ne are coastal fishing towns, and therefore, of course, there is an abundance of seafood restaurants on the streets. The prices are not exactly "penny", after all, seafood has become expensive all over the world now. The price on the menu or directly on the aquariums is usually indicated per 100 grams or kilogram, and additionally this dish includes a side dish, of course, traditionally rice and vegetables. For reference, here is the minimum price in an average tourist cafe:
- Fish – from 390,000 dong/kilogram (from 14.82 USD)
- Shrimp – from 450,000 dong/kilogram (from 17.1 USD)
- Tiger shrimp – from 1,450,000 dong/kilogram (from 55.09 USD)
- Lobster – from 850,000 dong/kilogram (from 32.29 USD)
- Oysters – from 49,000/each (from 1.86 USD)
But, at least, here it is all very fresh, and you can try all sorts of different "sea creatures" that we can't find at all. Usually everything offered here in seafood restaurants was caught in the morning, and in the evening it is all still alive swimming in the aquariums of the restaurants.
There are also exotic species on the menu: frog meat, ostrich, crocodile. You can eat all this and not worry about the consequences.
Of course, eating in seafood restaurants or exotic cuisine every time will be very expensive, not every budget can handle that. Therefore, for breakfast, lunch and dinner you can eat much more budget-friendly. Here are prices for reference:
- Simple breakfast at the hotel (scrambled eggs, toast, fruit + drink of choice) – from 150,000 dong (from 5.7 USD)
- Simple breakfast at a guesthouse or cafe outside the hotel – from 80,000 dong (from 3.04 USD)
- Rice dish with chicken in a tourist cafe – from 100,000 dong (from 3.8 USD)
- Rice dish with chicken in a non-tourist cafe – from 60,000 dong (from 2.28 USD)
- Drinks (cola, sprite, etc.) – from 15,000 dong per/0.33l (from 0.57 USD)
- Local beer – from 20,000 dong per/0.33l (from 0.76 USD)
Thus, a simple lunch or dinner in an inexpensive tourist cafe with drinks will cost from 150,000 dong (from 5.7 USD), and in a non-tourist cafe the same can be had for 100,000 (from 3.8 USD).
If you need to save money, you can choose cafes not for tourists. In them, the same dishes as in tourist cafes can cost almost half as much. Of course, in terms of presentation and cleanliness, such cafes are much inferior to tourist ones, they even have menus in Vietnamese, and sometimes there is no menu at all, since they only cook one or two dishes. It is also very uncomfortable to sit in them, because the plastic tables are very low. And we perfectly understand that not every vacationer will agree to sit in them due to sanitary concerns and inability to communicate. But during our trips, most often we eat inexpensively in such establishments for locals, and do not experience any particular difficulties.
But honestly, finding inexpensive local cafes in Mui Ne is not so easy. On the main street in the center, there are practically none; to find such, you need to walk or ride from the center further towards Mui Ne village. There are several local cafes near Ham Tien market and almost a street food court near the market in Mui Ne village, but that is really far from the central beach, you need to go there only by transport. Moreover, even in these non-tourist cafes, prices by Vietnamese standards are quite high. You can eat noticeably cheaper in Phan Thiet, but this option is suitable if you rent transport.
And it's worth mentioning separately about remote areas and beaches, for example, Hon Ron beach to the east or Tien Thanh to the east of Phan Thiet. There you may find yourself in a hotel, next to which for kilometers there will not be a single street cafe or shop, and then you will have to eat in the hotel restaurant or take a taxi every time. For such hotels, it is best to choose tours or rooms with meals.
In general, everything you need to know about Vietnamese cuisine, what dishes to try here and how much it costs, read here.
Money Exchange in Mui Ne and ATMs
You can exchange money in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, there are many exchange offices here. However, if you stay in one of the secluded hotels on distant beaches, for example on Bikini beach or on the beach beyond Mui Ne village, then finding an exchange there will be problematic, in which case we advise you to exchange money in advance, for example at Ho Chi Minh City airport upon arrival. The exchange rate at the airport is acceptable, so you can exchange a small amount there for the first time of your vacation until you find exchange offices on the spot. We have repeatedly compared currency exchange rates at the airport and at resorts, the difference is only 0.39-1.19% from the latest calculations, you can see more details here.
In the Mui Ne resort area, you can exchange money almost at every step: in travel agencies, hotels, trading stalls, even in pharmacies. Dollars and euros are exchanged at a good rate, yuan are exchanged less profitably. Old-style dollars without a security strip are accepted for exchange, but not everywhere and the rate is 300-500 dong lower (that is 1.2-2% lower than for new bills). But in general, you can exchange them.
The rate differs everywhere, so if you are exchanging a large amount and a high rate is important to you, then it makes sense to walk around or even ride around, or bargain for the rate. The highest rates are traditionally offered in jewelry stores. From our experience after checking several exchange points in the resort area, we found the highest exchange rate in a jewelry store at the market in Mui Ne village (market on the map). So if you need a good exchange rate right away, you can go here. You can get to the market by local bus №1.
As for exchanging rubles, they are not accepted here. But there are several travel agencies and private "money changers" who exchange non-cash rubles for dong. The scheme is as follows: you transfer rubles to an account in a Russian bank, and the "money changer" gives you cash dong. We again calculated everything, and it turned out that at one point the rate from rubles to dong from "money changers" gives 10% less dong at the output than if exchanging the classic way through cash currency in jewelry stores.
And finally, the last piece of advice on exchange, if you are going to Mui Ne via Ho Chi Minh City. In tourist district №1 in Ho Chi Minh City, you can exchange money at one of the best rates in all of Vietnam. We have exchanged many times at the same exchange-jewelry store, and there we always got the highest rate we have ever encountered in Vietnam. So if you are making a stop in Ho Chi Minh City, you can exchange most of your cash for the trip at this exchange office Kim Mai Jewelry Shop on Cong Quynh street, you can find it on Google Maps.
There are ATMs in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, bank cards can be used for payment in many stores in Phan Thiet, but in the resort area there are much fewer such, cash is more often accepted here. Of Russian cards, only UnionPay cards of Rosselkhozbank (among large ones) work, all others have fallen under sanctions. But from our experience of using a Rosselkhozbank card with a ruble account, the losses in rubles compared to exchange through cash dollars amounted to 10%. This is a lot, and there will be even more losses when withdrawing cash, because additionally a commission from the bank and the ATM is charged.
As for Mir cards, there are no ATMs and shops that accept them in Mui Ne and Phan Thiet. With Mir cards in Vietnam, only one bank, VRB, generally works; the nearest cities where you can find it are Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau. But in any case, the exchange rate from rubles to dong when withdrawing and paying is so unfavorable that using a Mir card makes no sense, unless as a backup option in case of an emergency.

Internet and Mobile Connection in Mui Ne, Where to Buy a SIM Card
Russian mobile operators work in Mui Ne, but it will be very expensive international roaming, so be careful with this. It's better to first study the tariffs of your operator and connect special options for savings. Keep in mind that for most Russian operators, by default, even for receiving a call or receiving/transmitting the first byte of data on the network, a considerable daily subscription fee will be automatically charged, and this cannot be canceled. Therefore, if you do not intend to use your home operator's roaming, it is better to immediately turn off data transmission at the departure airport, or even better, remove the SIM card so as not to use it accidentally.
In principle, on a short vacation in Mui Ne, you can even do without a mobile connection altogether. WiFi internet is available in almost all hotels and almost all guesthouses, and some hotels even provide network access on the beaches.
If you still can't do without connection on vacation, you can buy a local SIM card, here's how to do it:
Regarding buying a SIM card, it's worth noting such an important point right away: you can buy a "tourist" SIM card, already configured and registered to another individual (more expensive), or buy a prepaid SIM card with registration in your name using your passport at local rates.
Tourist SIM cards – this is a convenient way for those who come to Mui Ne for a short vacation. What is simple and convenient about them is that you don't need to study tariffs and delve into everything, waste time on registration. True, you will have to overpay twice as much as for a prepaid one registered in your name. You just buy it, insert it into your smartphone, and it starts working, and at the end of the vacation you simply throw it away. You can buy such cards at travel agencies on the streets of the Mui Ne resort area and even in some trading stalls, just look for signs and advertisements. You can also buy a SIM card at Ho Chi Minh City airport immediately upon arrival. You will be offered several options of different validity periods, usually 7, 10 or 14 days, and with different data volumes, you just have to choose. We saw such cards at a minimum price of 150,000 dong with a tariff for 7 days, but it is not a fact that you will find such a price in the first place you come across, most likely you will have to pay 200,000 dong.
Prepaid SIM cards unlike "tourist" ones are registered in your name using your passport. They are at least twice cheaper, but the savings are especially noticeable with long-term use for a month or more. You can buy such a SIM card at official offices of mobile operators under the signs Viettel, Vinaphone or Mobifone. Such offices exist both in the Mui Ne resort area and in Phan Thiet, look for the nearest one on the map or just while walking. Just keep in mind that not all establishments under operator signs are official offices and actually register SIM cards for individuals. Some of them are simply engaged in selling or repairing phones and sell tourist SIM cards. To quickly find out if they will sell you a SIM card registered in your name, just go into such a store, immediately show your passport and ask about a SIM card. Then sellers in most cases will understand that you want to register a SIM card in your name, and if they cannot do this, they will immediately refuse you.
You don't need to take a lot of internet; from our experience of active travels, we know that together with hotel WiFi (and it is available almost everywhere) for 30 days of travel, we rarely went beyond 30GB. Currently in Vietnam, tariffs with daily limits are popular, i.e., when the tariff is valid for 30 days, for example, and several gigabytes are given each day, which do not carry over to the next day. For example, last time we took 6GB/day, and that is a lot, we almost never went beyond 2GB/day on two devices, so you can safely take such a tariff.
Read more about mobile connection and internet in Vietnam, which tariff to choose, where to buy a SIM card, we told everything here... We advise you to definitely read it before deciding what to buy.
Hotels in Mui Ne - What are the Prices and Where to Book
In Mui Ne and Phan Thiet, there are many accommodation options for every taste and budget, making this resort convenient for all categories of tourists. Here you can stay right on the beach in cozy bungalows, choose a luxurious hotel with a pool in the central part of the city, or a secluded resort on Bikini Beach or beyond Mui Ne village. For budget travelers, inexpensive guesthouses on the second line or rental accommodation further from the sea are suitable. Such diversity is hard to find in other resorts of mainland Vietnam, except for Phu Quoc island.
Despite its popularity, accommodation prices in Mui Ne are higher than in Nha Trang. A double room in a guesthouse will cost about 15-20 dollars with air conditioning and a bathroom. Hotels with pools start from 25 dollars with early booking, and rooms in 4-5-star hotels – from 40 dollars per day. In remote areas, you can find more affordable options, but you will have to sacrifice proximity to main attractions and civilization in general. We advise you to read more about where it is better (or not better) to stay in Mui Ne here.
Watch our review of a hotel in Mui Ne, and see for yourself how it really is:
There are no hotels with an "all inclusive" system in Mui Ne, as in most places in Vietnam. The maximum offered is breakfast or half board. For a full-fledged "all inclusive", you should consider other destinations.
Finding accommodation upon arrival in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne is not a problem at any time of the year, but it is definitely recommended to book in advance if you plan to visit the resort during the high tourist season (from December to April) and especially during the New Year holidays and Vietnamese Tet New Year. In principle, even at this time you will always be able to find something on the spot, but it will be exactly "something", not a good hotel.
And one more addition to choosing a hotel: if you really love swimming in calm, clean water, then we highly recommend choosing a hotel with a pool. Unfortunately, the sea in Mui Ne is very often rough, especially during the windy period from January to March, and inexperienced swimmers find it difficult to swim to their heart's content here.

Weather and Seasons in Mui Ne and Phan Thiet - When is the Best Time to Go
About Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, it can be said with confidence that it is a year-round resort. The average annual temperature here is 29 degrees. The lowest temperature during the year is 25 degrees at night.
During the year, only two seasons are distinguished, not four, as we have:
- 🌞 It is best to go during the dry season from November to April. At this time, there is minimal precipitation, the sky is most often clear, and the sun is in the sky. However, from personal experience of trips in recent years, I want to say that it seems that the seasons have now shifted a month later, and even in November there can be prolonged rains and a sky covered with clouds, as in the peak of the rainy season. So, for a greater guarantee of getting good weather, it is still better to plan a trip for December and later.
- ⛅ You can go from May to October during the rainy season or monsoon season. It is considered not the best time for vacation, as there can be frequent and prolonged rains, and the sky is often overcast. But the rainy season is not as scary as one might think, and for many tourists it is a favorite time to travel to Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, since short-term rains bring at least some variety and relief from the heat, and you can sunbathe even under clouds. Rains at this time are most often really short-term, no more than an hour, and, as a rule, occur at night, early in the morning or in the evening. It happens that there is no rain for weeks.
However, besides rain and cloudiness, there is another weather feature in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne – frequent winds. On the one hand, the wind slightly alleviates the feeling of heat, but at the same time, because of this, there are almost always waves at sea, and it can be not very comfortable to relax on the sandy beach. In the summer months (rainy season), waves and wind are a bit calmer, and in winter (dry season), especially at the junction of seasons in October and November, the wind can sometimes be so strong that it knocks you off your feet. And the swimming season with small waves here lasts from April to November. The windiest season and the best time for surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing is from January to March. In general, the sea here is quite calm and suitable for swimming most of the time.

Transport in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, and What to Use for Getting Around
The Mui Ne resort area is stretched along the coast and the main Nguyen Dinh Chieu street for more than 10 kilometers, and it's already 20 kilometers to the center of Phan Thiet from here, and at least the same further towards the White Sand Dunes. And there is also a resort area stretching more than 20 kilometers on the other side of Phan Thiet towards Tien Thanh village and Bikini Beach, so in total, if we talk about Phan Thiet and Mui Ne as a whole, the total length of the entire beach and resort area here is about 60 kilometers. So, independent travelers will find it difficult to get by without transport.
It is quite possible to walk short distances within the resort areas, for example, to walk from the hotel to the beach, to the nearest cafe or shop. However, this only works in the most developed and more or less infrastructure-saturated part of the Mui Ne resort area. If you stay not in the center, then there will be nowhere special to walk.
Perhaps the most convenient way of transportation for vacationers on tours is taxis and moto-taxis. A trip by car taxi by meter or when ordering through apps within the resort will cost from 40,000 to 100,000 dong (from 1.52 USD), and a trip to the center of Phan Thiet from Mui Ne beach will cost almost 300,000 dong (11.4 USD). In general, in our opinion, taxis here are much more expensive than in other resorts in Vietnam.
Uber and of course YandexGo do not work here, but the Grab app works perfectly and Maxim works a bit worse. In Maxim taxi, prices are lower, the trip price is from 16,000 for a car, but in reality, we never managed to wait for a car assignment and its arrival in this app. But maybe you will succeed, try. With the Grab app, everything is much simpler, cars arrive quickly, although the prices are almost twice as high. There is also a cheaper alternative – moto-taxis. You can order a moto both through Grab and through Maxim, it costs at least half as much.
If you plan to move around actively, then it makes sense to rent a car, motorbike or bicycle. You can rent a low-power moped (scooter) in Mui Ne from 80,000 dong per day (from 3.04 USD) when renting for several days, and for 100,000 (from 3.8 USD) for one day in street rentals. When renting in hotels or in Russian-speaking travel agencies, they ask for more – 150,000 and from 200,000 dong respectively.
You can also rent a bicycle, including with a drive (electric or gasoline), for which no license is needed. A bicycle can be found for 25,000 (0.95 USD). For an electric bicycle, they ask for more than for a regular one - from 100,000 (3.8 USD)
And finally, if you do not have category "A" on your license and you do not ride two-wheeled vehicles, you can rent a car in Mui Ne, but honestly, it's quite an expensive pleasure.
Also in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, convenient public transport works – city buses, a total of 9 routes. More precisely, city buses work in Phan Thiet, but their routes go even to the distant suburbs of Phan Thiet, including to Mui Ne and other suburbs. The fare costs from 8,000 to 35,000 dong (0.3 - 1.33 USD).
Attractions in Phan Thiet and Mui Ne and What to See
Phan Thiet and Mui Ne are not famous for an abundance of attractions, and in the Mui Ne resort area itself, there are virtually none. To see something interesting, you will have to go at least to the nearest surroundings. The main idea of the resort is still focused on the beach and sea, so you should be aware of this when you go here.
On foot from the Mui Ne resort area, you will not be able to visit almost anything except the Fairy Stream and the Cham Towers, and even then only if they happen to be near your hotel. Mostly, you will have to go somewhere on excursions or get there by transport. For this, in Mui Ne you can use city bus №1 (goes to the Cham towers, red sand dunes, fairy stream and to the center of Phan Thiet), or rent a motorbike, bicycle or car.
The most convenient way to get acquainted with local attractions and see something else interesting from Mui Ne is to join a group tour or buy an individual one. In Mui Ne, there are many travel agencies focused on Russian-speaking tourists, and, accordingly, with Russian-speaking or even Russian guides. The price may differ from agency to agency, but not significantly. Before buying, clarify whether entrance tickets, meals, etc. are included in the price.
The most popular tours, the classics of vacation in Mui Ne, so to speak, are:
- Red and White Sand Dunes with Lotus Lake
- Ke Ga Lighthouse, Ta Cu Mountain and Reclining Buddha
- One or Multi-Day Trip to Da Lat
- Sea Fishing, Sea Tours, Diving
- Sightseeing Tour of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet with Visits to Beautiful Locations and Cham Towers
- Binh Chau Hot Springs
If desired, you can find rarer interesting tours, for example, to Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi Tunnels, Mekong Delta, to Cambodia, to Nha Trang, to Da Nang and others. But these are already trips for several days.

Finally, you can rent a car with a driver or just a taxi, and in one day quickly drive around the surrounding attractions. The cost of renting a jeep for 1 day will be about 50$, by car taxi you can negotiate for 40$.
If you are ready to travel by public transport or are ready to rent a motorbike or car, then you can visit almost everything here on your own. The full list of attractions of Phan Thiet and Mui Ne with opening hours, cost and how to get there independently is here.
