Aquarium Chi Nguyen or Tri Nguyen (Tri Nguyen Aquarium) is located on the island of Hon Mieu and attracts attention primarily by its appearance, because it looks like a pirate ghost ship from an adventure novel. Inside the building contains information about sunken ships, samples of ancient marine fossils and real representatives of marine creatures inhabiting the South China Sea are exhibited. There are many aquariums with a variety of marine life – sharks, turtles, fish, corals.
You can visit it on your own and with an excursion. The tour, as a rule, includes a visit to 4 islands, costs from 800,000 donog, you can buy it at street travel agencies or online at Trip.com (accepts roskart), Klook, Weatlas, etc.
It was built in 1971 by a great enthusiast, and by profession a fisherman – Le Can. According to his plan and at his personal expense, a dam was built that fenced off part of the bay. Subsequently, this part is divided into three artificial lakes, where you can watch the life of marine inhabitants in the open air today.
If you have not been to the VinWonders aquarium (Vinpearl) and are not going there, then it's worth a trip here.
A visit to the Aquarium can be combined with a beach holiday. There are decent beaches on the east coast of the island, but they are paid: Soi Beach (from 99 000 VND), Paradise Beach (190 000 VND), the price includes deck chairs, umbrellas, shower, toilet.

Tickets to the aquarium: adult – 120,000 VND (4.56 USD), children – 84,000 VND (3.19 USD). To get to the island only by boat from the Southern pier, round trip: adult - 150,000 VND (5.7 USD), children - 105 000 VND (3.99 USD).
🚶 How to get there
Independently from the southern pier (near the cable car) by ferry or boat to Tri Nguyen Island (or Hon Mieu), the cost in both directions is about 200,000 VND (Tri Nguyen Aquarium on the map)
