Hon Mun Island is the best place for snorkeling and diving in Nha Trang due to the clear and clean water and the richest underwater world. Corals, a variety of fish and shellfish can be viewed close to the shore. This place is very popular both with oceanographers and researchers of the underwater world, and among tourists, because it is easy to visit Hog Moon with an excursion. There are caves-tunnels here, where you can also watch sea creatures, but this is for serious dives and experienced divers. They also come here to relax on the beach. The beach is rocky in places, but there are good sandy strips, especially near the marina. You can rent a boat with a transparent bottom to observe the seascapes.
Hong Moon organizes individual and group tours with delivery by motor boat, including meals, snorkeling and diving equipment, and free time on the shore. A visit to this island is included in a tour of three islands (cost from 900,000 VND / 34.19 USD), but it will not be possible to engage in normal snorkeling or diving during such an excursion. Due to the large accumulation of people in the water who want to swim and dive at one moment, it will be difficult to see something near the shore, you will have to swim further. And there is not much time to walk around the island in group tours. Therefore, it is better to take an individual tour in order to have time to relax on the beach and see underwater wildlife.
There are no hotels for overnight stays on the island. You can eat in a floating cafe, but the prices are very high.

To enter the island, you will have to pay 22,000 VND(0.84 USD). The boat costs from 250,000 VND (9.5 USD), excursions from 900 000 (34.19 USD).
🚶 How to get there
Hong Moon Island is located about 10 kilometers from the coast (Hong Moon Island on the map). The easiest and cheapest way to get here is as part of a group tour of three islands or as a separate individual excursion, the cost starts from 900,000 VND. You can buy such excursions in street travel agencies or online on sites like Klook, Weatlas, Trip.com (the latter accepts Russian cards).
You can also get here yourself by driving to the South Pier of Nha Trang by taxi or city bus, and hire a boat there. As far as we know, there are no scheduled boats to the island.
