Nong Nooch Tropical Garden

The largest botanical garden in Southeast Asia with thousands of orchids, palms, cacti, and landscape gardens in different styles. Don't miss the colorful elephant show – elephants paint pictures, play football and volleyball. Plan for half a day to explore the grounds: you'll be walking a lot under the blazing sun, so bring water, hats, and sunscreen. Mini Siam Park

Mini Siam is a park with miniature copies of famous architectural landmarks from around the world and a work of horticultural art. It consists of two exhibitions – Mini Siam and Mini Europe. The first features copies of Thai architectural landmarks, and the second – copies of Western architectural works. Among the exhibits, you'll find replicas of world masterpieces, including Russian landmarks: St. Basil's Cathedral and the monument to the defenders of Stalingrad on Mamayev Kurgan. The grounds feature miniature trees, replicas of gardens, flower beds, streams, and fountains. In the lake on the grounds, you can feed fish and relax in the shade of trees on the shore. In the evening, lighting comes on, so it's best to come before sunset to see both the daytime and evening Mini Siam. Overall, a decent place for a walk and nice photos, nothing more.

Million Years Stone Park and Crocodile Farm

This picturesque park covers over 70 acres (about 28 hectares) just 15 minutes from central Pattaya. It's a true "living museum" of three kingdoms of nature – animal, plant, and mineral. We recommend including it in your itinerary, especially if you're traveling with children. On the grounds, you'll see amazing petrified trees over 100 million years old, trees over 200 years old shaped in Thai style, and picturesque gardens with dwarf trees, orchids, and bonsai. The main attractions – a large zoo with exotic animals (tigers, giraffes, elephants), Thailand's largest crocodile farm with thousands of crocodiles, and a thrilling crocodile show. Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai)

An active temple on a hilltop with an 18-meter golden Buddha statue, where people come not so much for the architecture (it's more modest here than in Bangkok), but for the peaceful atmosphere and unusual statues – particularly the "Emaciated Buddha" during his ascetic period. This makes a great addition to a walk to the neighboring Pratamnak Hill with its viewpoint. Entry is free, but remember the dress code: covered shoulders and no shorts above the knee. Sanctuary of Truth

A giant wooden structure by the sea, 105 meters tall, every inch covered in unique carvings. Tourist reviews of this place are mixed: some consider it a masterpiece and a great photo spot, others think it's overrated. The entry ticket isn't cheap, and the visit is in a hard hat (restoration work is constantly underway inside). There's a strict dress code: covered shoulders and no short shorts or skirts. Wat Yan Temple (Wat Yanasangwararam)

One of the most beautiful and significant temples near Pattaya – a snow-white stupa that, according to legend, houses Buddha's relics, and a lake with real pink lotuses. The complex features Buddhist pavilions in the styles of eight countries (Thailand, India, Japan, China, and others), making it unique. It's worth climbing the hill to the Buddha's footprint (300 steps or an asphalt road by car) – photography inside is not allowed. Entry is free, quiet, green, and not touristy at all. Buddha Mountain (Khao Chi Chan)

This is a mountain on which a huge seated Buddha image, 130 meters high and 70 meters wide, has been laser-engraved. Created in honor of the 50th anniversary of King Rama IX's reign in 1996, the lines are filled with gold. The impression from visiting is truly powerful: when you stand at the foot, you realize the scale of the work. Around it are well-maintained gardens and ponds, cared for by the Royal Marine Corps. Despite the tourists, there's a sense of peace here. Especially beautiful at sunset. However, in our opinion, it's not worth coming here specifically – only if you're passing through. All Saints Orthodox Church

All Saints Church is the first Orthodox church of the Russian Orthodox Church in Thailand. It's located in the northern area of Pattaya – Naklua, on Soi 16. Built in the traditional style of Orthodox monasteries, with white stone walls and golden domes, it stands out against the general backdrop. It was opened in 2008 and consecrated in 2009. Inside – a typical Orthodox church: a small space, many icons, the smell of incense. All traditional rites are performed here: baptisms, weddings, funerals. The rector is Archpriest Daniil (Vanna). If you're tired of Pattaya's noise, you can come here just to sit in silence – the atmosphere is very peaceful and calming.

Chinese Temple Na Ja (Na Jasa Tai Chue Shrine)

One of the most impressive and richly decorated Chinese temples near Pattaya – over 2,840 images and statues of dragons adorn its walls, roofs, and interiors. The temple has four levels, and you can climb the stairs to the top and step out onto the balcony that runs around the perimeter – offering a picturesque view of the surroundings. Entry is free, no strict dress code. It's more than 50 km from Pattaya towards Bangkok, so it's best to get there by rental car or with a tour. Heaven and Hell Temple (Wang Saen Suk)

A Buddhist outdoor sculpture park that vividly shows what awaits sinners in the afterlife: scenes of hellish torment – boiling in cauldrons, tongues being ripped out, molten metal poured into mouths. Thais specifically bring their children here for educational purposes: so they can see with their own eyes what theft, lies, drunkenness, and other misdeeds lead to. Entry is free, 10–15 minutes is enough for exploring. Located about 40 km from Pattaya towards Bangkok, so it's better to combine with other attractions (like the Chinese Temple Na Ja). Viewpoint on Pratamnak Hill (Pattaya View Point)

The main viewpoint of Pattaya, where postcard views are taken – a panorama of the city beach, the Gulf of Siam, and Bali Hai Pier. At the top, you can not only take photos but also relax in the park with walking paths and exercise equipment, see the monument to the revered Thai Prince Chumphon, and just below – the big "PATTAYA CITY" letters. Everyone should come up here to appreciate the scale of the city from above. Easy to reach on foot from the Pratamnak or Jomtien areas, or by songthaew for just 15 baht. PATTAYA CITY letters on Pratamnak Hill

The famous sign on the slope of Pratamnak Hill – the one visible from any point in central Pattaya. The giant orange letters are lit up in the evening, and there's a photo zone with a heart for impressive selfies with the city and sea in the background. From the platform, there's a view of Bali Hai Pier, the port, and the Walking Street area. We recommend combining this with the main viewpoint at the top – both spots are nearby and complement each other. Free entry, you can walk from Bali Hai Pier or come by bike. Grand Canyon Chonburi

A former stone quarry at the bottom of which a lake with emerald-green water about 30 meters deep has formed. The viewpoint with metal railings is the main spot for photos, 5–10 minutes is enough. Nearby – the under-construction LOF LAND park with cyberpunk installations (entry 300 baht, includes one drink). This place is definitely not worth a dedicated visit due to the distance (50 km from Pattaya, the drive can take 1.5–2 hours one way). Wat Khao Tabaek Glass Bridge

A new temple complex in the Sri Racha area with a glass bridge that opened in 2025. The bridge is about 200 meters long at a height of 25 meters, connecting two hilltops, offering panoramic views of the green jungle. Before the glass bridge is the "Wish Bridge," where you can make a wish and tie a ribbon. Entry to the bridge costs only 40 baht (one of the most affordable glass bridges in Thailand). The place isn't too hyped yet, not many tourists – you can walk around peacefully. Best reached by rental car or taxi (40–50 km from Pattaya). The View Ferris Wheel

In central Pattaya, on the grounds of the Runway Street Food Market night market, a new 100-meter ferris wheel, The View, has opened. During a 10-minute ride, the cabin makes two full rotations, offering a panorama of the city, the coastline, and the Gulf of Siam. Air-conditioned cabins are a lifesaver in the heat. Best to come around sunset when the city lights up. Tickets for foreigners cost 480 baht, children under 120 cm enter free. Tiffany's Show Pattaya

This is one of two famous cabaret shows in Pattaya (the other is "Alcazar"). Opened in 1974, Tiffany's Show became the first such performance in Southeast Asia. It takes place in a modern 1000-seat theater featuring over 100 professional performers. It's a colorful musical dance revue with elements of theater and circus. No vulgarity: the performance is suitable for family viewing. In 2011, the show ranked 4th in the world among cabarets after shows in Paris and Las Vegas. The 75-minute program includes 9 productions in various styles – from traditional Thai dance to contemporary pop and K-pop numbers.

Photos and videos are strictly prohibited during the show. But after the performance, the artists come outside, where you can take photos (tips – 100 baht). In the same building is Tiffany's Indoor Shooting Range, where you can shoot real firearms.

Alcazar Cabaret Show Pattaya

Alcazar – another of Pattaya's two most famous cabaret shows (along with Tiffany's Show). Essentially, it's not much different from Tiffany's – the program also includes traditional Thai dances, contemporary pop and K-pop numbers, bright costumes, and special effects. The theater seats 1200, the performance also lasts about 75 minutes. Photos and videos are prohibited during the show. After the performance, the artists come outside, where you can take a joint photo (tips – 100 baht). You just need to choose which one to visit, but according to reviews and ratings, Alcazar is slightly better.

Colosseum Show

Colosseum Show is one of the newest and largest cabaret shows in Pattaya, opened in 2013. The theater is built as an exact architectural replica of the Roman Colosseum, with fountains and ancient columns outside and a luxurious baroque interior inside. The hall seats 1000, the show lasts 75 minutes and includes 14–16 vibrant acts with performers in lavish costumes. The program combines traditional Thai dances, modern music, and elements from various cultures. Photos and videos are not allowed during the show, but after the performance, the artists come outside where you can take photos together (tips – 100–200 baht). The show is located on Thepprasit Road, which is especially convenient for tourists staying in Jomtien or Pratamnak.

Adult shows

Pattaya is a city of sins. And we can't fail to mention this particular attraction – adult shows. Not Go-Go bars, but places where girls (and sometimes men or couples) perform various "acrobatic" acts. They're called sex shows, ping-pong shows, or faking shows. Needless to say – not for children. The stunts performed are simply astonishing and deserve at least surprise, if not admiration.

Thai massage in Pattaya

What would Thailand be without massage. In Pattaya, massage salons are found on almost every corner, so you won't have to search. Prices vary greatly, but only at first glance. In fact, regular traditional massage costs about the same everywhere, and everything more expensive is just spa complexes or massage with additional options (oil, herbal, etc.). We recommend starting with a traditional Thai foot and body massage, and then trying something else if you like it (and who wouldn't like it). And yes, you can easily find more explicit massages here too, but that's another story that has nothing to do with traditional massage.

3D Art Museum (Art in Paradise)

Recently opened 3D Museum – a new popular spot in Pattaya. It features over 150 paintings that you can pose in front of, and thanks to the optical effect, it creates an illusion of reality. In this way, everyone can become an integral part of the painting. The museum is especially interesting for photography lovers and fun groups.

Long Neck Village

Near Pattaya there's a village where women of the Karen ethnic group with traditional neck rings live. But this is not an authentic settlement, but an artificial tourist village – essentially just a performance. The Karen never lived here; their real villages are in northern Thailand (Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai). We cannot recommend visiting this place, like similar ones in the north, because it resembles a human zoo. But if you really want an exotic photo, you can stop by. On the grounds, there are several photo zones, a cafe, a small museum, and a slingshot shooting range.

Ramayana Water Park

Ramayana Water Park – the largest water park in Thailand, located 25 km south of Pattaya. Opened in 2016, the park is themed after the ancient Indian epic and covers over 180,000 sq m. It features more than 50 water attractions, including 11 extreme slides for adults, the world's longest slide (240 meters), a wave pool, a 600-meter "lazy river," and two large children's zones. The water is clean, the grounds are well-maintained, the staff is friendly, and food and drink prices inside are slightly above average for Pattaya. The slide with a transparent tube that creates a flying effect is especially impressive. Ramayana is definitely worth visiting for both adults and families with kids. Just keep in mind that it's far, so plan for a full day.

Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum

A museum of collector-traveler Robert Ripley with exhibits that will make you question reality: mummies, unusual artifacts, paintings made from trash, and figures of the tallest people on the planet. Besides the museum, there are other attractions for a separate fee: an Infinity Maze mirror maze, moving wax figures of celebrities (Wax Museum), a 7D mini-cinema, and the "Pharaoh's Tomb" walk-through attraction – a dark corridor with mummies and skeletons. Located on the upper floors of Royal Garden Plaza mall (the one with a real plane stuck in its facade). An entertainment complex for those who want to spend a couple of hours in amazement with a slight fright.

Pattaya Park entertainment complex: water park, observation tower and zipline

Pattaya Park is not just a water park, but an entire resort complex on Jomtien Beach, where a hotel, water park, amusement park, and the famous observation tower are all gathered on one site. The water park here is the only one within the city limits, not outside, which is convenient for those who don't want to travel far. But the main "calling card" of the complex is the 240-meter tower with a panoramic observation deck on the 55th floor and a zipline from about 170 meters high. The views from the tower, in our opinion, are impressive – the city, the sea, and Jomtien are all in the palm of your hand. And for adrenaline lovers – a cable descent which, according to reviews, isn't too scary since the speed is moderate, the main thing is to weigh under 100 kg. The complex's infrastructure is no longer new, but the atmosphere and panoramas remain time-tested.

Underwater World

An aquarium featuring marine animals of the Gulf of Siam. The aquarium is shaped like a 105-meter tunnel and divided into 4 zones. A great place for kids.

The first zone features beautiful and rare fish species. The second zone – cartilaginous fish, including sharks and rays. The third zone – commercial fish species and turtles. The fourth zone features fish from the Amazon River and the largest fish specimens.

At certain times, feeding takes place in each zone, presented as a small show.

Pattaya Elephant Village

The oldest elephant sanctuary in Pattaya, founded back in 1973 as a rehabilitation center. People come here not for the show (you've probably seen those elsewhere), but for a half-hour elephant ride through the jungle, feeding the animals bananas, and the chance to participate in elephant bathing. The grounds are small, and after the main activities, be prepared for people asking for tips at every turn. If your goal is just to watch a show, choose a different park. Monster Aquarium Pattaya

An indoor aquarium and zoo in northern Pattaya – a great alternative to Khao Kheow if you don't want to go far. Under one roof, there are fish tanks, a terrarium, enclosures with birds, predators, monkeys, and a petting zoo with farm animals. You can feed animals (food – 20 baht), have photos taken with birds and reptiles (30–50 baht). Special residents – "monster mutants," like a two-headed turtle. Khao Kheow Open Zoo

A huge open-air safari park where animals live in spacious enclosures, not cramped cages. You can hand-feed giraffes and deer (food is sold on the grounds), see the world-famous dwarf hippo Moo Deng, watch elephant and penguin shows. The grounds are divided into two zones – green (walking) and pink (for those with a car). Without your own transport, you can only explore the green zone, and for the pink zone you'll need a car or bike. The best option for families with kids – plan at least half a day for your visit. Tiger Topia Zoo Sriracha

Tiger Topia Zoo Sriracha (formerly Sriracha Tiger Zoo) – the most affordable zoo near Pattaya. Tiger and crocodile shows are held. For an extra fee – a walk through the forest with a tiger (1250 baht) and feeding tigers (150 baht). But the main attraction here is photo sessions: with tigers and lions for 350 baht, with tiger cubs for 650. There are combo tickets with shows and photos. According to visitor reviews, the zoo has noticeably declined: there's a sense of neglect and not very good treatment of animals and guests.

Siri Park and Zoo

Siri Park and Zoo is a small but well-maintained zoo opened by the former team of the closed Sriracha Tiger Zoo. Located about 37 km from Pattaya, almost an hour's drive. According to visitor reviews, it's clean here, animals look well-cared for, and the staff is friendly. You can feed the animals, ride an elephant or horse, and take photos with lion and tiger cubs. Adult ticket costs 100 baht, children under 140 cm enter free. Interestingly, the ticket can be exchanged for animal food or drinks. The zoo is small, 1–2 hours is enough for a visit.

Tiger Park Pattaya

Tiger Park Pattaya opened in 2017 on Jomtien and became the first tiger farm in the city. It houses over 50 tigers, including Bengal and Golden tigers. Visitors can enter the enclosures and sit next to predators under the supervision of keepers – this isn't a zoo, but a place for those who want to be physically close to big cats. According to reviews, the park is clean, the tigers are well-groomed, and the staff clearly explain safety rules. You can choose contact with tiger cubs 1–3 months old, 3–6 months old, or with adult tigers. The grounds are compact, 1–3 hours is enough for a visit.

Walking Street

The center of Thailand's nightlife, which looks like an ordinary road during the day, but at sunset turns into a sea of neon, music, and thousands of people. The street is closed to traffic, and walking along it is free – you only pay for drinks or shows inside the establishments. Even with kids, you can come here early in the evening: everything explicit is hidden behind closed doors, leaving only bright signs and a carnival crowd outside. Adult Street Pattaya Soi 6

If Walking Street has gradually become a tourist attraction where you can even go with kids, Pattaya Soi 6 is a completely different story. This is a short street in the northern part of central Pattaya, lined with bars and go-gos. People come here not to stroll or take photos against neon signs, but for entertainment in the establishments – to find company for the evening or night. The atmosphere is as explicit and relaxed as it gets. Going here with family or expecting a "cultural" walk is definitely not worth it, but if you're a single man looking for fun – you'll feel right at home.

Here's a tip from personal experience: never stay on this or neighboring streets, otherwise you won't sleep at night due to the loud music.

Jomtien Walking Street

In the Jomtien area, there's an alternative to the famous "Walking Street." It's quite small – just a few hundred meters – but it's packed with bars and clubs, most of which cater to the LGBT community, so the street is decorated in rainbow colors* (18+; mention is for informational purposes only. In the Russian Federation, the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist and banned). Despite its "sinful" reputation, in reality most establishments operate as regular bars: they invite you to sit with a cocktail or beer, many transvestite shows are offered free with a drink order. No debauchery behind the doors, the atmosphere is friendly and unintrusive. It's best to come here after 6:00 PM, when the street comes alive, and until late at night. Entry is free, but it's worth checking drink prices in advance – beer or cocktail will cost about 200 baht.

Rompho Street

Rompho Street is another bar center in Jomtien, an alternative to Pattaya's famous entertainment streets. It stretches just a few hundred meters, but along it, bars are packed tightly together with a wide range of music: from rock 'n' roll and live sound to house and techno. Almost all establishments are open to the street, each with its own counter and a few tables, and inside almost everywhere there's a pool table – free to play with drink orders. In our opinion, the atmosphere here is more relaxed than in the center, perfect for long beer sessions. The main crowd is European and American retirees, but you'll also see younger tourists. Girls invite you to tables, but without being pushy. At the start of the street is the Rompho indoor market and a night street market – worth checking out before or after the bars.

Boyz Town

Boyz Town is the most famous gay district in Pattaya, located on Pattayaland Soi 3 between Second Road and Beach Road. The quarter was founded back in the 1980s and still remains the center of nightlife for the LGBT community*. It's packed with bars, clubs, and cabarets with vibrant shows – for example, the legendary Boyz Boyz Boyz bar hosts erotic performances and transvestite cabaret every evening. Notably, the quarter is within walking distance of the main Walking Street – just 400–500 meters, so it's easy to stop by even just out of curiosity, even if you don't belong to the LGBT community. On the part of the street facing the beach, there are several traditional Indian restaurants – for example, Indigo right opposite Boyztown – so this area is sometimes called "Little India." Entry to bars is free, you only pay for drinks, prices for beer and cocktails start from 100–150 baht.

Pattaya Night Markets

Night markets in Pattaya are not just places for shopping, but a whole culture that reveals itself at sunset. They're scattered all over the city, and each area has its own character: somewhere there's more clothing and souvenirs, somewhere else – seafood and ready-made food. What unites them is affordable prices, a lively atmosphere, and the chance to bargain. Almost any market has both goods and food, so you don't need to look for something specific – just choose the one closest to your hotel. We recommend coming after 5:00 PM, when the stalls are fully set up, and always bring cash – cards aren't accepted everywhere. Bargaining is welcome here, but always with a smile: knocking 20–30% off the initial price is standard practice. Prices for clothing (t-shirts from 100 baht, shorts from 150) and fruit (mango from 50 baht per kg) are significantly lower than in malls, so it's a great way to save money, soak up the local life, and eat well.

Runway Street Food Market (night market with an airplane)

Runway Street Food Market – a stylish night market in central Pattaya, whose main feature is a real Boeing 747 (the famous "Jumbo") in the middle of the square. You can't go inside the plane – it serves as an art object, with cafe tables set up right under the wings and fuselage. Recently, The View Ferris Wheel was added here too. Otherwise, it's a regular Thai night market with a huge selection of food, including exotic items – crocodile meat, ostrich, insects. Prices are slightly higher than at street cafes (dishes from 100 baht, drinks from 40), but the atmosphere is worth it.

Terminal 21 Pattaya Mall

A large new shopping mall in northern Pattaya that has become one of the main attractions for tourists. During the day, people come here for shopping (all brands, a large supermarket with prices below market), and in the evening – just to walk around and have fun. Inside, there's a children's entertainment center with rides, a cinema, a food court, and chain cafes. The building is easy to recognize by the real airplane at the entrance – a great opportunity for an unusual photo.

Central Pattaya Mall (Central Festival)

Another huge modern shopping mall in the very heart of Pattaya, where you could spend a whole day: all brand stores, cafes, restaurants, and plenty of entertainment. In the evening, at the exit on the Second Road side, there's a mini street food market – worth trying grilled crocodile meat, exotic fruits, and other Thai goodies. Its convenient location between Beach Road and Second Road makes it easy to drop in on your way to the beach or after a walk.

Pattaya Floating Market

The Pattaya Floating Market is not a real market, but an attraction built specifically for tourists, introducing the culture of four regions of Thailand. Wooden houses on stilts, bridges, and boats with food look picturesque, but you should understand: the assortment here mainly consists of souvenirs, clothing, and Thai fast food. In our opinion, it's worth going here only if you don't plan to visit authentic floating markets in other parts of the country – and are prepared for the fact that it's more of a photo zone than a shopping destination. Prices for goods are noticeably higher than in city markets, so it's better to go to regular markets for souvenirs. Entertainment options include boat rides, traditional dances, and Thai boxing.

Bangkok Temples: a day trip from Pattaya

Pattaya offers regular day trips to the capital of Thailand. In our opinion, this is one of those trips that should definitely be included in your plan. There are many programs: from a standard tour of the Grand Palace and temples to dinners on observation towers. We believe that for the first time, it's better to focus on the historic center – the Grand Palace, Wat Pho Reclining Buddha temple, and Wat Arun Temple of Dawn. The perfect finale is a boat ride along the Chao Phraya River or a visit to a floating market. River Kwai and Kanchanaburi

Kanchanaburi province is one of the most fascinating places in central Thailand. Tours here are often called "Paradise on the River Kwai," and it's truly one of the most romantic and packed trips we recommend 100%. Depending on the program (usually 2–3 days), you'll see the historic bridge over the River Kwai, swim in hot springs, visit the largest Erawan waterfall, and stay in a floating hotel.
