General information about Pranburi
Pranburi is a small town in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province on the east coast of Thailand (Pranburi on the map of Thailand). The nearest popular resort is Hua Hin, which is located in the same province 30 kilometers to the north. Actually, the city of Pranburi is not located on the coast itself, but five kilometers from the coast, but its suburbs and beaches lie on a wonderful sandy shore. Pranburi is often referred to as one of Hua Hin's suburbs or one of its beaches.
Despite its low popularity among foreign tourists, Pranburi is a popular beach holiday destination for locals. There is nothing to do in the city itself, there are almost no hotels there, but there is a road along the coast, along which many hotels and guest houses have lined up and formed a real tourist area. The atmosphere here is rustic, very calm, so it is recommended to stay here for those who find Hua Hin too noisy. Even compared to Cha-am it's quieter here, and the beaches are considered one of the best in the province. But do not think that there is a complete "wilderness" here. Along the beach road you can find several bars and restaurants open late.
Since there is almost no entertainment here, it remains only to relax on the beach or visit the sights. There are none in the city or on the beaches, but quite a few interesting places are scattered throughout the province.

Here the low mountains smoothly turn into mangrove swamps, and it is precisely because of this special and rare relief that the area has been declared protected. The area of the park is 98 square kilometers.
