Bangkok

Bangkok at night

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and the gateway to Southeast Asia. It's a 7-million, traffic-congested metropolis with gleaming shopping malls and soaring skyscrapers. But that's only at first glance. If you look closer, at the foot of the concrete jungle of skyscrapers, you'll find small old houses and countless temples. Indeed, Bangkok is a city of contrasts. And everything here is permeated with Buddhism.

You won't find beach holidays in Bangkok, and you'll only be able to sunbathe by the pool on a hotel roof. But traveling in Thailand wouldn't be complete without exploring Bangkok. If you're not traveling independently, among the abundance of tours offered by Russian tour operators, be sure to choose a tour with a couple of days in Bangkok. The price of such a tour will be only a few dozen dollars higher, and every dollar spent will be worth it. Additionally, such tours usually include a sightseeing tour of Bangkok, which includes visits to some of its attractions.

Temples and historical attractions are Bangkok's calling card. It's no exaggeration to say that Bangkok is dotted with the most beautiful and world-famous temples, many of which you probably know from movies or photos. The magnificent Bangkok Grand Palace is a place you simply cannot go home without seeing.

For entertainment lovers, there are several amusement parks in and around Bangkok. Bangkok's nightlife is unique in its charm. This includes the countless restaurants that appear on sidewalks and roads in Chinatown as darkness falls, the most modern sparkling discos, and a huge variety of all kinds of bars and entertainment venues.

Bangkok is a great place for shopping. In the most modern malls, the largest in Asia, you'll find the most fashionable clothes, the most modern electronics, and the most interesting souvenirs. In countless private shops, you'll see the finest Thai silk, folk crafts, clothing, souvenirs, furnishings, antiques, and paintings.

Pattaya

Pattaya is the most popular, world-famous tourist resort city in Thailand. It is located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand, 160 kilometers southeast of Bangkok, in Chonburi Province, in the so-called Industrial Zone of Thailand's eastern seaboard.

The 'Sin City' — Pattaya attracts tourists from all over the world with its go-go bars, night discos, adult shows, transvestite shows, and street prostitution. But alongside these vicious adult entertainments, Pattaya has many activities for the whole family: sports and water attractions, beaches, shopping malls, local markets, and restaurants. Near the city are the beautiful orchid park in the botanical garden, crocodile and snake farms, temples, sacred places, and many other interesting and beautiful spots.

Officially registered residents of the city number just over 104,000 people (2010), while the actual population always exceeds 500,000 due to the constant presence of tourists. About six million tourists visit Pattaya annually, a huge part of which are Russian tourists, leading locals and foreigners to call the city 'Pattayagrad'.

Going to Pattaya just for a beach holiday is not worth it. There are beaches here, of course, but they are within the city limits and far from ideal in terms of cleanliness. On nearby islands, which you can take a ferry to every day, there are wonderful clean beaches.

The cost of a holiday in Pattaya is low compared to other popular resorts in Thailand. You can choose a hotel and activities here for every taste and budget. In general, Pattaya 100% justifies its popularity, and it's impossible to think of a single reason against relaxing in this 'Mecca' of tourism.

Pattaya is located near the capital, and getting there from Bangkok Airport or from Bangkok itself is not difficult.

Koh Larn Island

Hat Sang Wan beach on Koh Larn

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions

– transport accessibility

The small island of Koh Larn (Ko Lan, also Koh Larn, also Coral Island) is located 10 kilometers off the coast of Pattaya. This is the most popular island for day trips or visits to the clean island beaches near Pattaya. The island is very tiny, just 4.5 kilometers long.

Koh Larn is rarely considered by tourists as an independent resort, but rather as an addition to Pattaya's beaches or one of its attractions. Most often, tourists visit Koh Larn as day trips or independent trips to its beaches, which are considered much cleaner than Pattaya's city beaches. Less often, guests stay overnight on the island for a day or two or longer. Meanwhile, Koh Larn is a completely independent resort with its own infrastructure, beaches, hotels, and attractions.

Phuket Island

Holiday on Phuket

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Phuket is the most popular resort in Thailand and the largest island in the country. Most of the island is covered with tropical forests, which, combined with waterfalls, parks, and coconut plantations, makes Phuket an ideal place for beach holidays and jungle excursions.

All the conditions a tourist could wish for are created here. Accommodation is famous for its luxurious five-star hotels, but budget tourists will also find it easy to find an inexpensive secluded bungalow on the shore or a modest hotel room. The main reason tourists come to this island is the beaches of Phuket. If you are looking for clean, ideal beaches, wonderful beach scenery for photos, and plenty of entertainment, then this is definitely the place for you.

It's worth noting that Phuket, no matter how good it is, is still an island, and for a deeper acquaintance with the traditions, culture, way of life, and history of the country, you'll have to leave for the mainland, which is not always convenient or cheap (the island is connected to the land by a bridge). And in general, Phuket is considered a more expensive resort than other resorts in Thailand.

Koh Samui Island

Holiday on Samui

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Samui is a resort island. It is traditionally considered the 'quietest' among the resort islands of Thailand, and at the same time rivals Phuket, another very popular resort, in popularity.

On Samui, lush green vegetation and magnificent white sandy beaches create the image of a fairy-tale island, a tropical paradise. But unlike Phuket, this is an idyllic world of peace and quiet, silence and romantic seclusion. The beaches here are uncrowded and naturally adorned with coconut palms, just like in the brochures. Coconut palms, by the way, are the island's calling card and the main source of income for local residents. This is one of the best places for a secluded and quiet beach holiday. And around it there are several smaller islands where a vacation can be even more secluded.

The tourist infrastructure on Samui is quite developed. There are a large number of hotels in any price category. Island guests have the opportunity to visit a giant aquarium, a butterfly garden, a snake farm, and an elephant show. For active and youth recreation on the separate Chaweng Beach, there are many bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Open-air discos are also held.

Koh Phangan Island

Holiday on Phangan

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Koh Phangan Island in Thailand (also Phangan, Ko Pha Ngan / Koh Phangan) is one of the popular tourist islands in the Gulf of Thailand. Phangan is located very close to its more popular and slightly larger neighbor, Samui. The two islands are separated by only 8 kilometers, and Phangan is about 45 kilometers from the mainland. Phangan is one and a half times smaller than its neighbor Samui and almost four times smaller than Phuket Island.

Russian tourists rarely consider Koh Phangan as an independent resort, but rather as an addition to a holiday on Samui, from where 'forays' are made to Phangan in the form of excursions. Tour packages to Koh Phangan from Russia are not very widely represented. Nevertheless, it is a full-fledged independent resort with its own characteristics and atmosphere, different from other resorts in Thailand. It is especially popular among young people.

If you are a fan of a full-fledged vacation at any time of the day (including night), then this is the ideal place for a holiday. Phangan is famous for its beach parties, which traditionally take place on the new moon, that is, once a month, on Hat Rin Beach. At this time, crowds of young people flock here, and the 'Full Moon Party' is ranked among the most famous parties in the world.

Koh Tao Island

Holiday on Koh Tao

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Koh Tao Island (Ko Tao, also Koh Tao, also Turtle Island) is a popular tourist island in Thailand in the Gulf of Thailand. It is located near Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. It is very small, only 7 kilometers at its widest point, and looks like a real baby compared to its famous neighbors, Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. However, it can offer tourists something that its larger neighbors cannot: the island is popular among tourists as one of the best places in Thailand for diving, and is also attractive for excellent beach holidays.

The tourist infrastructure here is quite well developed, allowing you to spend your entire vacation there. It is also visited as part of an excursion for diving and snorkeling for a day or several, most often from the neighboring islands of Samui and Phangan.

Koh Tao has dive centers that can provide tourists or just amateur underwater travelers with all the necessary equipment. And those who are not yet ready for diving can still explore the underwater life around the island with the help of snorkeling. The water around the island is very clear most of the year, and visibility for snorkeling is just excellent.

Krabi

Railay West in Krabi

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Krabi is not an island at all, as travel agencies mistakenly call this resort. In fact, it is an entire province with many resorts and small resort islands. It is a relatively new, developing resort. There aren't many tourists here yet, it's not easy to get here, and there aren't many beaches either. However, this place is more than worthy of a visit. Here are the national parks Than Bokkharani, Khao Phanom Bencha, caves Tham Phra Nang Nok, Tham Sua (known as 'Tiger Cave').

Holidays here are mainly on the beach resorts of Ao Nang and Railay, or you can stay for a few days in Krabi Town. The province is also home to the popular islands of Phi Phi and Lanta.

Koh Lanta Island

Holiday on Koh Lanta

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Koh Lanta Island (Koh Lanta) – is located in Krabi province in the south of the country (Lanta on the map). In fact, Koh Lanta refers to a whole group of 52 islands, the largest of which are Ko Lanta Noi (Little Lanta) and Ko Lanta Yai (Big Lanta). From a tourist point of view, Ko Lanta Yai (Big Lanta) is the most important, where the tourist infrastructure is located, and it is this island that is meant when talking about Lanta as a resort.

Koh Lanta is popular with tourists as a place for beach holidays, excellent diving and snorkeling. Unlike other tourist spots in Krabi province, including the most famous Phi Phi Island, Lanta is distinguished by its tranquility, peace, and vastness. There is a much lower concentration of noisy bars and discos, and very long beaches that are simply pleasant to walk along and admire the scenery. Therefore, the island's guests are mostly older people and families with children.

However, this does not mean that you will die of boredom here. In fact, nothing of the sort; the island has a full range of infrastructure and entertainment for tourists. You can find bars and discos, active entertainment, and even simple shopping; you just need to know where to look.

Koh Phi Phi Island

Beach on Phi Phi Leh

– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Koh Phi-Phi (Koh Phi-Phi, also Phi-Phi) is a group of six islands in Krabi province in the Andaman Sea (archipelago on the map). Usually, when tourists talk about Phi Phi, they most often mean not the entire archipelago, but specifically Koh Phi Phi Don. Indeed, Koh Phi Phi Don is the only island in the archipelago that is a full-fledged resort with its own infrastructure, beaches, and a large number of hotels.

This is a true paradise where the best for relaxation combines: beautiful sandy beaches, clear turquoise water, sunshine all year round, and a free youthful atmosphere. But don't think that because it's a remote small island, a rustic atmosphere reigns here – rather the opposite. In the main village and the center of Ton Sai island, noisy parties do not subside until late at night, progressive rhythms emanate from bars and discos on the beaches. If that's not enough, you can have your own party right on the beach; there will always be plenty of people wanting to join you. If the noisy nightlife is not for you, and you want to enjoy peace and quiet, that's not a problem: you can choose places to relax on the more remote beaches.

You can spend your entire vacation here, or just a few days. It will be much more interesting if you diversify your trip by stopping at other resorts in Krabi province. For example, spend half of your vacation on the mainland part of the province, where you can get acquainted with the natural attractions of Krabi, and the other half on Phi Phi. You can also combine Phi Phi with a holiday in Phuket.

Chiang Mai

Karen tribe

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Chiang Mai is the second largest and most important city in Thailand after Bangkok. It is located far in the north, 800 km from Bangkok in the Inthanon mountains. It was founded in 1296 as the capital of the Lanna Thai kingdom, which only became part of Thailand in the 20th century. You can compare Chiang Mai to St. Petersburg. For Thais, it is also the cultural capital, and it is also located in the north. And it is definitely worth a visit.

The city is famous for its ancient temples, mountain scenery, and folk festivals. The convenience of a modern city and rich cultural and architectural traditions are organically combined here; in its surroundings, the most modern highways coexist with numerous tribes and peoples who have their own unique culture, which had not experienced significant influence from civilization until the 20th century.

You can get here by plane from Bangkok in 1 hour. By land, you can get there by bus or train in 8-10 hours.

Chiang Rai

Chiang Rai was founded in 1262 as the capital of the Lanna kingdom. Later the capital was moved to Chiang Mai. Currently, Chiang Rai is considered one of the fastest-growing cities in Thailand.

Chiang Rai is located far in the north of the country, near (about 200 kilometers) the intersection of the borders of Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), and Laos, or the world-famous 'Golden Triangle'. The city and province are attractive for their sights and historical monuments. Mountains rise around the city, on the slopes of which local tribes still live. It is also easy to get to Laos and Myanmar from here.

All conditions are created and being developed for tourists here, but this place is not very popular among Russian tourists. The city is mainly visited by wealthy local tourists.

Koh Chang

Holiday on Koh Chang

– transport accessibility

Koh Chang or Chang ('ko' in Thai means island) is located 300 kilometers southeast of Bangkok, near the border with Cambodia, and is the second largest island in Thailand after Phuket. This place is a fairly popular holiday destination for tourists from all over the world, as well as residents of Thailand.

Largely untouched by modern civilization, Koh Chang has retained its charm. Local residents still live a quiet, measured life, mainly through fishing, fruit growing, and rubber cultivation. Therefore, you can get very close to the culture and way of life of ordinary provincial Thai residents. Among tourists, Koh Chang has become popular due to its white sandy beaches, rich nature untouched by tourists, and diverse underwater world. Many tourists are also attracted to the island by its remoteness from civilization.

The gentle mountain slopes provide an opportunity for even unprepared tourists to try their hand at mountain tourism and hiking. Excursions on the island are more aimed at exploring the island's natural wealth rather than visiting man-made attractions. This includes visiting waterfalls and caves, sea trips to uninhabited islands, getting acquainted with the life of fishing villages, walking through the jungle, and elephant rides.

Due to the large number of underwater inhabitants and coral reefs surrounding the island, it is also an excellent place for diving. In season, underwater visibility reaches 30 meters.

Getting to Koh Chang by land is not difficult. Many intercity bus routes are organized from Bangkok and other major cities of the country to the town of Trat, and from Trat to Chang it is easy to get by ferry. There are also direct tourist bus routes to the island organized from tourist spots.

Hua Hin

Hua Hin beach

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Thailand's oldest resort is located 198 km south of Bangkok, on the west coast of the Gulf of Thailand. The resort is known for its long beach, separated from a small fishing village by a small rock. The beach stretches for three kilometers south – right up to the Buddhist temples. The small village became famous after King Rama VII built his summer palace here. It is called Klai Kangwun, which in Thai means 'away from the hustle and bustle'. This is how you can characterize a holiday at this resort even now. And now the royal family spends part of its time here once a year.

This place is a popular holiday destination for both Thais and foreign tourists. The entire tourist coast is abundantly covered with tropical greenery, and the hotels are separated from each other by a large distance, making the holiday even more isolated and peaceful. The hotels here are predominantly high-level, with their own territory, and accordingly, expensive. There is one of the largest golf courses in Thailand here.

Of course, Hua Hin is not the best place for active youth looking for travel and entertainment, but rather a place for tired businessmen to relax. But even here you can find something you like: there are picturesque caves nearby, you can visit one of the nearby villages; Hua Hin's night market is very interesting for tourists; you can go to the nearby Sam Roi Yot National Park. Water sports and other activities are organized on the beaches.

Koh Samet Island

Holiday on Koh Samet

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Koh Samet is a small island 200 km south of Bangkok. As a rule, the island is visited by tourists who spend the main part of their vacation in Pattaya.

The island got its name from the name of a special tree that grows on the island and is used in medicine and boat building.

The island is very small, only a few kilometers in perimeter, and can easily be explored on foot. In the northern part of the island there is a fishing village and a monastery with a temple, and on the west and east sides there is a national nature reserve.

The island is a paradise for lovers of untouched nature and those who want to spend a few days away from civilization. There are no night entertainment or noisy discos here, but there are several restaurants and bars on the shore where you can enjoy a beautiful view while dining on the seashore. You can explore coral formations along the west coast and the neighboring islands of Talu and Man Nai, explore mountain trails by jeep or bicycle, and go ocean fishing. The hotels here are not luxurious, but they have everything necessary for a relaxing holiday.

If your trip or vacation is limited to staying in Bangkok and Pattaya, be sure to visit the island for at least a day or two to experience complete unity with nature.

Rayong

Holiday in Rayong

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

This is a very new resort, located 180 kilometers south of Bangkok on the coast. Rayong's magnificent beaches stretch for 100 kilometers along the Gulf of Thailand, and thousands of tourists from all over the world vacation here every year. Many hotels and bungalows have been built along the shore. The local beaches are considered among the most beautiful in Thailand, and the landscape consists of mountains, plains, and forests. There are also many rubber and fruit tree plantations, fishing villages, small bays and inlets. This place is also considered one of the best in the country for diving due to its clear and calm water.

Rayong can be recommended to those tourists who do not want to go too far from the capital, and at the same time are tired of or do not wish to relax in noisy and vicious Pattaya. Rayong, by the way, is located very close to Pattaya, and if you want to have some fun, you can always go to the 'Sin City'.

Cha-Am

Cha-Am beach is very 'Thai'

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

The new and rapidly developing beach resort Cha Am is located 173 km southwest of Bangkok, next to Hua Hin. It is primarily oriented towards a quiet family vacation. You should come here if you want to enjoy the beauty of nature, peace, and quiet.

The magnificent sandy beaches of Cha Am stretch for many kilometers. Pristine coral reefs are hidden underwater. The perfect beach picture is completed by palm groves, including pineapple groves. Unlike the more expensive Hua Hin, located nearby to the south on the same coast, the hotels here are more democratic. Here you can find a world-class hotel, as well as a very simple and cheap bungalow. For the benefit of tourists, water activities are organized on the beach: catamaran, yacht, and jet ski rides, surfing. On land, there are also many activities: horseback and elephant riding, tennis, golf, and much more.

Lopburi

The monkey city of Lopburi

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Lopburi is a city in Thailand, 150 kilometers north of Bangkok, a popular tourist place and attraction. The city is quite small (population 54,000) and is the capital of the province of the same name.

Lopburi is rarely visited as an independent destination for the entire vacation; there's simply nothing to do there if you spend several days. Usually, people stop here for a day or two, or even see it in passing. Nevertheless, the city has something to see. After all, it is the ancient capital of Siam and one of the oldest cities in Thailand (it is believed to have been founded before the 7th century).

The main attractions of the city are temples and ancient ruins located in the old city. It cannot be said that they represent something super outstanding. It's all very similar to Ayutthaya, only in smaller quantities and scale, but there's still something to see. But what attracts tourists here most is the presence of a large number of monkeys. The city is simply overrun with crab-eating macaques, which, to the amusement of tourists, have 'terrorized' the entire city, especially its old part. The monkeys feel like true masters here, and tourists also get into trouble because of them.

Koh Kood Island

Holiday on Koh Kood

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Koh Kood Island (Ko Kut, Koh Kood) is an island in the Gulf of Thailand in Trat province, near the border with Cambodia. It is part of the Chang archipelago (Koh Chang) and is a popular tourist destination. Almost the entire territory is covered with jungle, the terrain is slightly hilly with a highest point of 315 meters.

Koh Kood is still considered one of the most beautiful islands in Thailand. People come here primarily for a beach and relaxing holiday. There are no evening entertainments on the island, but it is a true paradise island. The infrastructure here is poorly developed, but quite sufficient for a relaxing holiday. You can go diving, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, take trekking walks through the jungle to waterfalls, and simply lie in a hammock strung between palm trees all day long or walk from one beach to another. The attractions here are only natural: waterfalls, jungles, wildlife, underwater life.

Ayutthaya

Wat Phra Si Sanphet Temple

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Ayutthaya (also Ayutthaya, Ayutthaya, Muang Ayutthaya, Ayutthaya, full name Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya) is the ancient capital of Thailand, and now a modern city 75 kilometers north of Thailand.

Ayutthaya is one of the most significant attractions in Thailand. In 1991, the city was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many travelers compare this place to the temples of Angkor in terms of architecture and historical significance, although the scale and age of the ruins here are certainly not as impressive as in Cambodia.

The city of Ayutthaya itself is not very popular among tourists as an independent resort, and is most often visited as a separate attraction – the ancient capital of Thailand. In general, the tourist infrastructure of the city allows you to spend a few days here, immersing yourself in the study of the sights, although it (the infrastructure) does not offer much variety.

Koh Lipe

Holiday on Lipe – white sand beach and turquoise water

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions
– entertainment and nightlife
– shopping
– affordability
– transport accessibility

Koh Lipe Island in Thailand (Koh Lipe, also Ko Lipe) is located in the southern Andaman Sea, in Satun province (Koh Lipe on the map of Thailand). It is the southernmost island of the state. On a clear day, you can see the Malaysian Langkawi archipelago from here, 30 kilometers away. The island is very tiny, only 3 kilometers from one end to the other.

Koh Lipe is a kind of benchmark for a paradise beach holiday in the 'bounty' style in Thailand. There are still few tourists here, the place is not spoiled (although it is becoming more developed and crowded every year). Therefore, the main reason tourists come here is a quiet beach holiday. Also, people often come to Koh Lipe to study underwater life, both by diving and snorkeling. Equipment can be rented here. There are many other small islands around that you can go to for snorkeling or diving on an organized tour, or live on one of them as a 'wild' in a tent. Another activity is fishing: representatives of almost a quarter of all tropical fish species in the world live in the waters around the island.

There is only one main walking street here. On it you can find a currency exchange point, souvenir shops, cafes, a post office, a pharmacy, and travel agencies. But everything here is quite expensive, and the exchange rate is extremely unfavorable, so for budget tourists, it is best to buy everything necessary and exchange money on the mainland. Some hotels accept plastic cards and also offer to cash money from your bank card for a fee.

There are many bars and restaurants on the island, located within 200 meters of the sea or right on the beach. This is the main evening entertainment on the island; there are no discos or nightclubs here. There are no attractions on Koh Lipe, except for its beaches, nature, and a small Buddhist temple.

Chumphon

Holiday in Chumphon

– beach holiday
– sights and excursions

Chumphon City (also Chumpon, Chumporn, Chumphon, Chumporn) is a small city in southern Thailand, the capital of Chumphon Province. The city and province can be geographically attributed to central Thailand, but the atmosphere, population, traditions, and cuisine are more reminiscent of the Muslim south, although, of course, to a much lesser extent than the southernmost provinces. Chumphon is considered the beginning of the south of the country. The city is located 500 kilometers south of Bangkok on the east coast, washed by the waters of the Gulf of Thailand (Chumphon on the map of Thailand).

Although Chumphon is not a popular tourist destination for vacations, the city is always on the lips of tourists, especially independent travelers. The fact is that it is a transit point on the way between the capital and the southern resorts. The city is especially often visited by tourists whose destination is Koh Tao, Koh Phangan, and sometimes Koh Samui. This is where the transfer from train or bus to ferries or high-speed catamarans to these islands takes place. Although it is worth noting that getting to Koh Samui and Koh Phangan can be faster and cheaper via Surat Thani, even if it's a bit of a detour.

As an independent tourist place, Chumphon is not very popular among tourists. It is an ordinary Thai provincial city. Even calling it a major transport hub is a stretch, despite its importance on the route to the aforementioned islands. There are no entertainments here at all, and the city goes to sleep early in the evenings. Nevertheless, even here you can find vacationing Europeans, tourist infrastructure, and hotels. You are unlikely to see mass tourists on package tours here, but independent travelers who want to discover new places, unexplored by mass tourists, do stop here. And, by the way, the beaches of Chumphon are a fairly popular holiday destination for local residents. The result of this state of affairs is lower prices for tourist services, accommodation, and food than at other popular resorts in Thailand.

– transport accessibility

Kanchanaburi is a city and province of the same name in central Thailand, west of Bangkok (Kanchanaburi on the map of Thailand). Both the city and the province are popular excursion tourist destinations. This region has gained particular popularity due to the famous railway bridge over the River Kwai located here, built during World War II by Western prisoners of war captured by the Japanese. The province is also considered one of the most beautiful in central Thailand. It is home to several national parks; the largest and most beautiful waterfall in Thailand – Erawan; caves; several waterfalls; hot radon springs; elephant parks where you can ride these animals through the jungle, or care for them.
