Pattaya shopping malls: where to go shopping

Pattaya has more than a dozen large shopping malls where you can spend a whole day combining shopping with food and entertainment. Most of them are located along the main tourist streets – Beach Road, Second Road, and Pattaya Klang. We have chosen the five best ones that are definitely worth your attention.

Central Pattaya (formerly Central Festival)

Central Pattaya (formerly Central Festival) is the largest and most popular shopping mall in the city. It is located right on Beach Road, in the very heart of the tourist area. It features all the world's clothing brands (Zara, H&M, Mango, Levi's), cosmetics (Sephora, Boots), electronics (Power Buy), and home goods. On the upper floors there is a food court with Thai and international cuisine, as well as a cinema. Inside there are exchange offices with a good rate (Super Rich and TT Exchange), which is convenient if you need to change money quickly. Address: 333/99 Moo 9, Pattaya Beach Rd.

Terminal 21 Pattaya

Terminal 21 in Pattaya is not just a shopping mall but a whole theme park. Each floor is styled after different cities of the world: Paris, London, Tokyo, San Francisco. There is a huge selection of clothes from Thailand and China at affordable prices, lots of shoes and accessories. On the first floor there is a Gourmet Market supermarket with a large selection of fruit, sweets, and Thai spices. Inside there is entertainment for children and adults, and in the parking lot you can see a real airplane. UnionPay cards are accepted without problems. Address: 21/100 Moo 9, Pattaya Sai 2 Rd.

Next to the mall, on the site under the airplane, a great night market with clothes and a food court operates in the evening on weekends, though it cannot boast low prices.

Royal Garden Plaza

Royal Garden Plaza is one of the oldest malls in Pattaya, located on Beach Road. It is known for its unique architecture: the facade is decorated with huge airplanes and figures. Inside there are mid-range boutiques, as well as a large entertainment area for children. This is also where the famous Ripley's Wax Museum and the "Labyrinth in the Dark" attraction are located. On the upper floors there is an excellent food court. Address: 218 Moo 10, Pattaya Beach Rd.

Mike Shopping Mall

Mike Shopping Mall is another popular shopping mall on Beach Road, a little south of Central Festival. It consists of two buildings: Mike Shopping Mall and Mike Department Store. Here you can find clothes from local manufacturers at very low prices, as well as a large selection of shoes and accessories. This mall is often visited by those looking for budget shopping. Inside there is a fruit market, but the prices there are inflated (more on this in the fruit section). Address: 219 Moo 10, Pattaya Beach Rd.

Avenue Mall

Avenue Mall is a modern shopping mall on Second Road, between Central and Terminal 21. It stands out for its stylish design and cozy atmosphere. There are fewer brands here, but many small shops with clothes, accessories, and souvenirs. It is notable for its outdoor food court, where you can grab a bite in a pleasant setting. Address: 414/6 Moo 9, Pattaya Sai 2 Rd.

Best Supermarket – a supermarket with European products

Best Supermarket is a chain of supermarkets where you can buy European products (sausages, cheeses, pastries), fresh meat, fish, as well as a large selection of alcohol, tobacco, and souvenirs at excellent fixed prices. Prices here are lower than in most "Russian" shops, and the staff at some branches understand and speak Russian, so these shops are very popular with Russian-speaking holidaymakers. There are two main stores in Pattaya: a large one in the Naklua area (moved to a new building on Naklua Road, opposite the Susco gas station) and a small one in the center, at the corner of Central Pattaya Road and Second Road (mainly alcohol, tobacco, and souvenirs).

Central Marina Outlet – an outlet with the atmosphere of a port town

Central Marina Outlet (formerly Central Center Pattaya) is a shopping mall on Second Road that stands out for its architecture in the style of a European port town: turquoise facades, bright boats, and colorful houses create great photo spots. It features more than 100 shops with discounted goods, including the first Nike Factory Store in Pattaya. Inside there is a rest area, as well as a Big C Supercenter with low prices and a multi-screen cinema. In the evenings, a night market operates on the square in front of the building with food, drinks, souvenirs, and a stylish Cocktail Car – a vehicle where alcoholic cocktails are made. Despite the not-so-imposing facade, the mall is definitely worth a visit.

Besides those listed, Pattaya has many more shops and shopping malls outside the tourist areas, mainly along the main Sukhumvit Highway. These include the hypermarkets Big C, Lotus, Friendship, Makro, HomePro (home goods). As a tourist, they are unlikely to interest you, and they are far away and inconvenient. But if you are wintering in Pattaya or have decided to move here for a long term, it is best to visit these shops with lower prices.

Markets in Pattaya: where to find cheap goods and authentic souvenirs

Markets in Pattaya are not only a place for budget shopping but also a real cultural attraction. Here you can find everything: from fresh fruit and seafood to clothes, shoes, and original souvenirs. However, to get maximum pleasure and not overpay, it is important to know which market to go to and for what exactly. We have put together a list of the most interesting and authentic markets in Pattaya, including those that rarely make it into guidebooks.

Jomtien Night Market

This night market is located right opposite Jomtien Beach and operates every evening. It is considered one of the best in Pattaya for buying clothes, shoes, and accessories. The assortment is huge, prices are lower than in malls, and haggling is expected here. There are especially many vendors with children's clothes and toys. There is also a food court with inexpensive Thai food. Address: Jomtien Beach Rd, Soi 5.

Thepprasit Market

This market is located near Jomtien and is famous for its variety. Here they sell clothes, shoes, bags, dishes, plants, as well as a huge amount of food: from Thai sweets to fried insects. Prices are very low, and this is one of the few places where you can find truly cheap items. It operates on weekends, but many vendors trade on weekdays too. There are also several pet shops that children enjoy visiting like a zoo. In our opinion, this is one of the most authentic night markets. Address: Thepprasit Rd, Soi 8.

Rompho Market – the best for fruit and local food

Rompho Market is located in the Jomtien area, away from the beach, but easily accessible on foot. It is one of the most local and authentic markets, where prices for fruit and food are significantly lower than in tourist areas. Here you can buy mango for 50 baht per kg, mangosteen for 50, rambutan for 40, durian for 240–260 baht per large fruit. It operates from morning to evening, and in the evening it turns into a street food court with seafood and barbecue. It is also notable for the fact that nearby there is a street with bars and live music – a kind of analogue of Walking Street in Jomtien. Address: 46/2 Moo 11, Jomtien Beach Rd.

• Opening hours: 06:00 – 22:00 daily.

Russian market on Pratamnak

This market is located on Pratamnak Hill, not far from Jomtien. It is fully oriented toward Russian-speaking tourists and expats: all signs, menus, and vendors speak Russian. Here you can buy not only souvenirs and clothes but also familiar products: buckwheat, pasta, dumplings, borscht. Prices for such goods are higher than in regular shops, but for those who miss home cooking, this is a salvation. Fruit here is usually more expensive than at other markets, so it is better to buy it elsewhere. The market operates daily from noon to evening. Address: Pratamnak Hill, Soi 4.

Yaimak Night Market

This is one of the new night markets in Jomtien, opened about three years ago. It is located at the end of Jomtien Beach. The assortment is typical: clothes, souvenirs, food, seafood. Prices are slightly higher than at Thepprasit or Rompho, but still acceptable. Nearby is the "Minsk" restaurant. A pleasant bonus – there is a free toilet (at many markets it is paid). Overall, the market is decent but not a must-visit if you have already been to others. Address: Jomtien Beach Rd, Soi 13.

Flea market (weekend antique market)

For lovers of unusual items there is the flea market or Buffalo Market, which operates only on weekend evenings. This is a real paradise for collectors and vintage hunters. Here they sell old records, cassettes, DVDs, toys, dishes, books, coins, watches, musical instruments, and much more. You can find truly rare items. It is located not far from the center; it is better to check the exact location on the map. If you are tired of typical souvenirs, be sure to stop by here.

Pattaya Night Bazaar and Indra Market

If you are looking for budget items and souvenirs, check out Pattaya Night Bazaar (located on Second Road, not far from the center) and Indra Market (next to it). These are two neighboring markets where they sell inexpensive clothes, shoes, bags, watches, and Chinese consumer goods. Prices are fixed, but you can haggle. There are often sales here, especially in the evening. Address: Second Road, Soi 12–13.

Runway Street Food Market with the airplane

Runway Street Food Market is a stylish night market in central Pattaya, whose main feature is a real Boeing 747 airliner (the very "Jumbo") in the middle of the site. You are not allowed inside the plane; it works as an art object, and the cafe tables are set up right under the wings and fuselage. Recently the View Ferris Wheel was also added here. Otherwise it is a classic Thai night market, but with an emphasis on food: there is a huge selection of dishes, including exotic ones – crocodile, ostrich, and insects. Prices are slightly higher than in street cafes (dishes from 100 baht, drinks from 40), but the atmosphere is worth it. This market is more suitable for gastronomic impressions than for shopping – there are few souvenirs and clothes here.

• Opening hours: daily from about 16:00 to 01:00.
• How to get there: the market is in central Pattaya on Second Street (Runway Street Food Market on the Pattaya map). If you are in the central part, you can walk or take a songthaew. From other districts – taxi or a minibus with a transfer.
• What to buy: ready-made food, exotic dishes, drinks. Entry to the market is free, the Ferris wheel is 480 baht for adults, 280 baht for children (a 10-minute ride).

Photisarn Market – a local market in Naklua

Market Photisarn is a small market little known among tourists in the Naklua area, which operates primarily for local residents. Here they sell fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, and a lot of seafood. The market is famous for its exotic goods – you can find live frogs and other products unusual for a European. It operates daily from early morning to evening, but the main trading happens in the first half of the day, and in the evening a small food court operates and only leftover goods remain. For tourists, the market is interesting primarily for its "local" prices – there are almost no inflated tourist price tags here. It is convenient for those staying or living in the Naklua area; from other districts it is hardly worth going here specifically.

• Address: Soi Photisarn, North Pattaya (corner with Pattaya Sai 3 Alley).
• Opening hours: daily from 05:00 to 20:30 (main trading – until lunch, in the evening – food court).
• How to get there: songthaew along the Naklua route (Photisarn Market on the Pattaya map).
• What to buy: fresh fruit and vegetables at local prices, meat, fish, seafood, exotic goods (frogs, etc.), Thai food at the food court.

The Big Market Jomtien – a night market in the southern part of Jomtien

The Big Market Jomtien is a typical tourist night market located in the southern part of Jomtien. It operates daily from 16:00 to midnight. The main emphasis here is on food: a huge number of stalls with Thai street food, seafood, desserts, and drinks. There are very few souvenirs and clothes, so it is not worth going here for shopping. One unusual feature – there is an open-air cinema showing Thai films. The market is primarily suitable for those staying in the southern part of Jomtien or in the Na Jomtien area – it is the nearest tourist night market to them. It does not make sense to go here specifically from other districts.

• Opening hours: daily from 16:00 to 00:00.

Wat Chai Mongkhon Market – an indoor food market in central Pattaya

Wat Chai Mongkhon Market is an indoor traditional Thai market located in the central part of Pattaya, right opposite the Buddhist temple of the same name. Unlike many tourist markets, it is mainly visited by locals, as well as tourists from China and Korea for fresh products at local prices. There is a huge selection of fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, and seafood. There are also stalls with ready-made food: Thai soups, rice with meat, grilled seafood, barbecue, Korean and Chinese dishes. Prices are lower than in supermarkets, and if you go deeper into the market, the goods become even cheaper. Many vendors understand Russian and are happy to haggle.

The market is convenient for those staying in the southern part of central Pattaya – it is a 5–7 minute walk from Walking Street. It is probably not worth going here specifically from other districts unless you plan to buy groceries in large volumes.

• Address: Pattaya Tai Road (South Street), opposite Wat Chai Mongkhon temple.
• Opening hours: Sunday – Friday from 9:00 to 22:00, Saturday from 7:30 to 00:00.
• How to get there: on foot from Walking Street (5–7 minutes) or by songthaew along South Street (Wat Chai Mongkhon Market on the Pattaya map).
• What to buy: fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, seafood, grains, spices, ready-made food at the food court. There are few clothes and souvenirs, mostly oriented toward local residents.

Soi Buakhao Market and Grand Hall Market – clothing markets in central Pattaya

Soi Buakhao Market (also known as the "Tuesday and Friday market") and the indoor Grand Hall Market located right opposite it are two neighboring markets in the southern part of Pattaya, at the intersection of Soi Buakhao and South Pattaya Road. Soi Buakhao Market operates on Tuesdays and Fridays (main trading – until lunch, although some sources indicate that some vendors also work in the evening). Here you can buy new and second-hand clothes, shoes, bags, accessories at very low prices – T-shirts from 100 baht, jeans from 200 baht, shorts from 150 baht. There is also fruit, vegetables, plants, and even pets. Grand Hall Market operates daily from morning to evening and specializes in clothes: there is a huge selection of second-hand items at prices from 15–60 baht per item, as well as new goods, textiles, cosmetics, and jewelry. Both markets are popular with both locals and tourists, and are within walking distance of Walking Street.

• Address: Soi Buakhao, corner with South Pattaya Road (opposite Friendship Supermarket and Tukcom).
• Opening hours: Soi Buakhao Market – Tuesday and Friday from 8:00–9:00 to 17:00 (according to some sources until 23:00); Grand Hall Market – daily from 8:00 to 17:00–18:00.
• How to get there: songthaew along South Pattaya Road or Soi Buakhao (Soi Buakhao markets on the Pattaya map).
• What to buy: new and second-hand clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, textiles, cosmetics, fruit, plants.

Ratanakorn market

A large local indoor market where you can buy fruit, vegetables, meat, and household goods. The assortment is large, prices are lower than in large chain hypermarkets like Lotus's and Big C, and for some items even lower than in Makro. If you live in Pratumnak or Jomtien, then for low prices you should definitely come here, but from the center it is a bit far.

But regarding fruit, a caveat is still worth making. The market has gained popularity among Russian tourists, and they flooded here in a big stream for fruit in baskets, which is why prices for them crept up. Honestly, in the rows along the main passage at the very beginning of the market, they are openly speculating on them. For example, at one point Longkong from a farmer's truck at the entrance to the market was sold for 25 baht/kg, while inside for 60 baht/kg. So do not rush to grab everything you see, but go a little further into the market to the stalls where the fruit on the counters does not look as pretty, but the prices are half as low. Do not forget to haggle, especially if you take 2-3 kilograms, the price for seasonal fruit can immediately drop by half.

Marketplaces: everything from a needle to a smartphone

If you are wintering or relocating in Pattaya, you definitely cannot do without a couple of local marketplaces Lazada and Shopee. These are analogues of our Ozon and Wildberries, only the delivery scheme is a bit different: there are almost no pickup points, and delivery is made to the address you specify. They will deliver to a hotel or a condo; it does not matter to the couriers at all. Moreover, you do not even have to wait for them, since they leave orders at the hotel reception or condo security if you are not at home, but of course, all by agreement. The exception is if you ordered with payment on delivery, then you will have to meet them in person.

Prices on Lazada and Shopee are often more favorable even with delivery than in retail, and it is easier to search. Try, for example, to find a lid for a frying pan in local shops – good luck. But here you will easily find and buy everything. Besides, if you participate in various bonus promotions and follow offers, you can accumulate bonuses for free delivery and discounts.

To buy in these apps or on the websites you need to register with a local number. The interface of the sites and apps is in English, although a lot is not translated, especially in product descriptions, so you cannot do without an online translator. The biggest problem will be to correctly enter your delivery address, since the address system in Thailand is very different from what we are used to. Try asking the hotel reception for help with this, and if you rent or own property, you probably already know all this.

As for payment, no Russian cards work here, but most goods can be ordered without a card with Cash On Delivery, or COD for short. If you set up a Truemoney or Line wallet, you can pay from it, but there are very modest monthly limits for online payments by non-residents.

Souvenir and gift shops: Lukdod and OTOP

If you do not like markets and want to buy souvenirs in one place, check out the specialized shops Lukdod and OTOP. These are chains of wholesale souvenir shops with fixed prices. They offer a huge selection of Thai souvenirs: Buddha figurines, batik, silk, coconut oil, Thai tea, sweets, magnets, and much more. Prices are slightly higher than at markets, but you save time and can buy everything in one place without haggling.

• Lukdod – located away from the beach and main tourist areas, opposite the northern bus station (Lukdod on the Pattaya map). You can only get here by taxi, and group tours are brought here.
• OTOP – the shop of this chain in Pattaya is now closed; instead, Good Goods operates in Central Festival.

We often stopped by these shops when we needed to quickly buy gifts for relatives. Honestly, the prices are not the lowest if you know the places, but for tourists who have little time, this is an ideal option.

Tech and electronics: Tukcom store

If you are looking for computer equipment and components, smartphones, photo and video equipment, your direct route is to Tukcom Pattaya. This is a specialized shopping center with dozens of electronics stores on several floors. Here you can buy both new and used gadgets, as well as parts and accessories, components for building a PC, and photo equipment.

However, do not expect too much from this mall. There are many departments, but they are all the same type, and many spaces are completely empty. Moreover, prices for most goods here are not lower than in Russia, and often even higher. And you will also be left without a warranty if you take the equipment home. The exception is some models of smartphones and laptops that are cheaper in Thailand due to local taxes.

In our opinion, it is worth buying here only if you need to get something very urgently, for example, you lost your phone or your camera broke on holiday. If you have time to wait 3-5 days, then much cheaper you can find the same thing with delivery on local marketplaces. For example, from our experience, we bought a PC case on Lazada for 500 baht with home delivery, while here we could not find anything cheaper than 999 baht.

As an option, especially if you need something more serious in terms of computer and other equipment, check out the JIB website, a chain computer store across Thailand. By the way, their store is in this same mall and mainly works for order pickup. But prices here are also higher than you can find on marketplaces during sales.

Important note: if you want to buy equipment cheaper than in Russia, be sure to check prices on Russian marketplaces before buying. Often the difference turns out to be minimal, and the warranty and power adapters may be local.

Grocery supermarkets: where to buy food and fruit

For those living in apartments with a kitchen or simply wanting to buy groceries for a snack, Pattaya has excellent supermarkets. The most popular:

• 7-11 – found literally on every corner. You can buy water, snacks, alcohol, ready-made sandwiches, rice, eggs, as well as some household goods. Prices here are higher than in large supermarkets. When paying by card, the minimum check amount is 200 baht. If the amount is less, the card will not be accepted, cash only.
• SJ More – a chain of convenience supermarkets, but larger and slightly cheaper than 7-11.
• Big C Extra – a large hypermarket on Second Road, where you can buy everything: from groceries to clothes and household chemicals. Prices are the lowest.
• Friendship Supermarket – located on Pattaya Klang (Soi 9). An excellent selection of products, including meat, fish, vegetables, and Thai spices. Many products from Europe and Russia.
• Lotus's – a chain of hypermarkets, the analogue of the Russian "Auchan". Several stores in different parts of the city.
• Tops Market – a premium supermarket with a large selection of quality products, including organic ones.
• Makro – a chain of small wholesale grocery stores; goods are most often sold in boxes and packs at very low prices. Not all Makro stores accept bank cards; check at the checkout before filling your cart.

Fruit is most profitably bought at markets (Rompho, Thepprasit) or from street vendors with trucks – there it is fresher and cheaper than in supermarkets.

Prices for clothes and shoes in Pattaya

Clothes in Pattaya are one of the main magnets for shopaholics. Prices vary depending on the place:

• Shopping malls (Central Pattaya, Terminal 21): T-shirt – 400–800 baht (11.92–23.84 USD), Levi's jeans – 2,000–3,000 baht (59.6–89.41 USD), Nike/Adidas sneakers – 2,500–4,500 baht (74.51–134 USD).
• Markets and small shops (Mike Shopping Mall, Night Bazaar): T-shirt – 100–250 baht (2.98–7.45 USD), shorts – 150–300 baht (4.47–8.94 USD), sundresses – 200–500 baht (5.96–14.9 USD).
• Street stalls and tents: prices can be even lower, but the quality is often corresponding.

Shoes at markets cost from 200 baht (5.96 USD) for simple sandals and up to 1,500 baht (44.7 USD) for handmade leather sandals.

Where to buy fruit cheaply: real prices 2026

Fruit prices depend heavily on the place. The most expensive fruit is sold in tourist areas (for example, near Mike Shopping Mall or at floating markets). Here are the real minimum prices for fruit that we encountered and bought personally at different points (during the ripening season):

• Mango: at Rompho market – 50 baht/kg, in the tourist area – 60–80 baht/kg, from a truck – 25 baht/kg (when buying 4 kg for 100 baht).
• Mangosteen: Rompho – 50 baht/kg, from a truck – 33 baht/kg, in the center – up to 100–150 baht/kg.
• Rambutan: Rompho – 40 baht/kg, from a truck – 33 baht/kg.
• Longkong: Rompho – 50 baht/kg, from a truck – 33 baht/kg.
• Lychee: in the center – up to 150 baht/kg, at Rompho – about 70–80 baht/kg (more expensive out of season).
• Durian: large fruit – 240–260 baht at Rompho, in the center – 300+.
• Dragon fruit (Pitahaya): Rompho – 60 baht/kg.

How to haggle in Pattaya: the main rules

Haggling in Thailand is not just allowed but necessary! Especially at markets and street pavilions. Here are a few simple rules that will help you save:

• At tourist markets, start with a price 2–3 times lower than the one the seller named. And haggle gradually.
• Be friendly and smile. Thais really appreciate a good mood and often lower the price just for a smile. Aggressive and emotional haggling, as in Turkey or Egypt, is not accepted here, and in our experience it rather causes misunderstanding and rejection among local sellers.
• When haggling, you need to consider the origin of the seller. Here it is most often locals and Indians who trade, and in our experience Indians are tougher, and haggling with them is harder.
• If the seller does not agree to your price, turn around and pretend you are leaving. In most cases they will call you back and offer a discount.
• Do not haggle in supermarkets and shops with fixed prices (for example, Big C, 7-11, Lukdod, OTOP) – it is pointless.

Shopping budget in Pattaya: how much to bring

It is hard to say in advance how much money to bring for shopping in Pattaya – it depends on your needs. But we can give rough guidelines based on real 2026 prices:

• Economical shopping: T-shirts, shorts, souvenirs, fruit – 1,000–1,500 baht per person (29.8–44.7 USD) per day.
• Mid-range: clothes from malls, cosmetics, a few souvenirs, dinner at the market – 2,000–4,000 baht (59.6–119 USD) per day.
• Full shopping tour: branded clothes, electronics, gifts for all relatives – from 5,000 baht (149 USD) per day.

Examples of food prices at markets: a portion of insects – 20 baht, shrimp in batter – 60 baht, fish with noodles – 160 baht, beer – 75 baht per bottle. At 7-11, a bottle of water – 10 baht, a sandwich – 30–50 baht.

We advise taking cash baht for markets and small shops, since cards are not accepted everywhere. For large malls you can use UnionPay cards (Russian cards work).

Duty-free and tax refund

Thailand has a VAT Refund system for tourists. If you buy goods for more than 2,000 baht per day in stores participating in the program, you can get the VAT back (about 7%) on departure. To do this, at the checkout ask for the P.P.10 form and show your passport. Price tags and packaging must be kept on the goods. At the airport, go through the refund procedure in the departure zone before checking in your baggage.

There are also duty-free shops at airports where you can buy alcohol, cosmetics, and chocolate without taxes. Prices there are higher than in the city, but it is convenient if you forgot to buy something or have money left over.
