How to get to Hua Hin

✈ From Russia and other countries, it is best to get to Hua Hin via Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. You can fly there by direct flights or low-cost flights with transfers from Moscow, St. Petersburg and some regions. Also near Hua Hin, 10 kilometers from the city center, there is a small airport (Hua Hin Airport on the map). Interestingly, part of the airport, including the runway, runs directly over the main highway highway No. 4. Hua Hin from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport

By bus. Hua Hin Resort from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport can be reached by direct bus company Roong Rueang. Buses from the airport depart to 7:30 , 9:00, 10:30 , 12:00, 13:30 , 15:00, 16:30 and 18:00, 4 hours on the road, the cost is 269 baht (8.27 USD, )the price of 2021). From Hua Hin to the airport, buses depart to 06:00, 08:00, 10:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:00.

Tickets at the airport can be purchased at the counter on the ground floor next to exit 8, or book online, which is preferable. In Hua Hin, the bus arrives at the city bus station almost in the very center ( Hua Hin bus station on the map). From there, most places in the city can be reached on foot or by minibus along the main road.

Taxi from Bangkok Airport to Hua Hin will cost from 2300 baht (70.73 USD, see Thailand's currency and exchange rate). You can go back from Hua Hin to the airport for 2000. To Hua Hin from Bangkok Don Muang Airport

Get to Hua Hin from the old airport Don Muang is not as easy and convenient as from Suvarnabhumi. A taxi will cost from 2000 baht. You can find the car, as usual, at the exit from the airport or at the airport counter.

According to our unverified information, minivans also cost 200 baht, 4 hours on the way. If you don't find a direct minivan, but you need to get there economically, then it's best to get to the Morchit bus station in Bangkok, and then transfer to Hua Hin.

Get to Hua Hin from Bangkok in several ways:

• 🚆 By train

  

  This is the cheapest and very convenient way to get here from Bangkok. Trains depart from Bangkok Hualamphong railway Station, as well as several trains run from Thonburi station. • 🚌 By bus

  

  This is quite a good and very comfortable option to get to Hua Hin, but there is one difficulty: buses to Hua Hin depart from the southern Bangkok Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai), which is not so easy to get to (you'll have to take a taxi or a city bus).

  Buses depart from Bangkok from 4:00 to 22:00 hours, every 20-40 minutes. Travel time is about 3 and a half hours. The ticket costs about 170 baht depending on the company and the class of the bus. To Hua Hin from other cities in Thailand

• 🚆 By train

  

  You can get to Hua Hin by train from Singapore, Malaysia, from Bangkok (see above), Surat Thani, Chumphon and other cities of the country south of Hua Hin. From cities to the north (Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Chiang Rai, etc.) will have to get there with a change of train in Bangkok.

• 🚌 By bus

  Bus service connects Hua Hin with many tourist cities of Thailand. In particular, you can get to Hua Hin by bus from Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Koh Samui, etc. Bus tickets can be purchased at the city bus station (see above) or at travel agencies on the street.

  In addition to regular buses, there are also tourist buses and minivans to Hua Hin. In particular, it is most convenient to get from Pattaya to Hua Hin by minivans for 400 baht, which depart from the company's office at the intersection of Sukhumvit rd. and South Pattaya Road.

  If you get to Hua Hin from cities and tourist places south of Hua Hin (Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Suratani, etc.), then you need to look for a bus to Bangkok, as they all go through Hua Hin.

• By ferry

  

  Since January 1, 2017, there has been a new way to get from Pattaya to Hua Hin and back: the ferry service between the two popular resorts, interrupted for many years, has been resumed. The high-speed ferry takes an hour and a half, the cost is 1200 baht one way. Tickets are currently purchased only at the piers, but in the future they promise to sell them online. From Pattaya, ferries depart from Bali Hai Pier, which is located almost in the very center of the city, and is accessible on foot from most tourist areas (Pattaya marina on the map). In Hua Hin, the ferry departs from the Saphan Pla pier, which is located on the outskirts of the city behind Khao Takiab Mountain (Hua Hin Marina on the map). You can get from here to the center by taxi. If you want to get there on a budget, then you need to go around Khao Takiab mountain (about 1 km), and take a shuttle bus from 15 baht on the main Takiap Road (see minibus in Hua Hin)

• Lomprayah Catamaran from Koh Samui, Phangan, Tao

  Lomprayah high-speed catamarans move passengers between Koh Samui Islands, Phangan, Tao and the cities of Hua Hin and Bangkok. There is a Lomprayah office in Hua Hin (office on the map), where you can buy tickets to the islands. Accordingly, you can get here by catamarans of this company. The boats themselves do not go to Hua Hin, but to the city of Chumphon, where passengers are transferred to a bus and taken to Hua Hin and Bangkok. Hua Hin transportation, what to use to move

• Minibus taxis (Songthaew)

  

  In Hua Hin, you can successfully and inexpensively travel by minibus taxis called Songthaew. They are practically no different from Pattaya ones here. The trip fee starts from 20 baht. And just like in Pattaya, if you ask the driver before the trip if he is going there, he will answer you with a smile that, of course, he is going, and then he will demand payment as for a taxi ride. Therefore, get into a fixed-route taxi without talking to the driver, and if you start talking about the route, then negotiate the price in advance. Usually the fare for a taxi ride within the city limits is 100 baht (3.08 USD).

  The routes of Songthaew are simple: one route moves in both directions through the whole city from Hua Hin Airport to the final stop at Khao Takiab Mountain. Another popular route, a completely new one, the ring route, moves along the main streets of the city along an elongated ring route.   You can get into a fixed-route taxi anywhere on the road (just raise your hand or wave to a passing car), get off too anywhere (press the bell button and the driver will stop). Payment is made at the end of the trip. In the evening, after about 18 hours, fixed-route taxis stop cruising around Hua Hin and wait for tourists to bring them as a taxi.

• Tuk-tuks

  

  The same tuk–tuks as in Bangkok drive along Hiahin. You can find them everywhere, especially a lot of them are on duty near shopping centers and markets. As usual, they ask for more than a motorcycle taxi and even an air-conditioned car taxi for a trip, they won't even budge for less than 100 baht. Before the trip, you should definitely bargain.

• Taxi, motorcycle taxi

  There are plenty of motorcycle taxis in Hua Hin, and there are few ordinary air-conditioned car taxis. It is necessary to discuss the price before the trip.

• Bicycle rickshaws

  In Hua Hin on the streets you can find an exotic form of transport – tricycle rickshaws. Do not consider them as a means of transportation, but rather as an attraction or attraction. The trip on them is quite expensive.
