The official taxi counter is on the first floor by the exit from the arrivals hall, with signs leading to it. Cars run on the meter, and a trip to Hua Hin starts from 2,300 baht (68.43 USD, )see Thailand currency and exchange rate). Toll roads are paid separately – it's best to discuss the amount with the driver right away.
Also in the arrivals hall and near Exit No. 8, drivers constantly offer rides at a fixed price. You can haggle with them, or look for fellow travelers to split the cost. Sometimes the taxi drivers themselves gather groups, but don't count on it: the direction to Hua Hin is less popular than, say, Pattaya.
To avoid haggling and depending on the queue, you can order a car through Grab – an Uber analog (Uber itself doesn't work in Thailand). The free Wi-Fi at the airport is enough to place an order.

Direct buses to Hua Hin from Roong Reuang Coach depart right from the arrivals terminal at Exit No. 8 (Gate No. 8). Buses run from 6:30 to 18:30 roughly every hour. Tickets can be bought at the counter on the first floor next to Exit No. 8, but it's better to book online in advance: tickets for the next departure may not be available on the spot. Check the schedule on the carrier's website and buy tickets with card payment, including Russian cards, via these links:

If your plane lands after 16:30, you most likely won't make the bus. Passport control, baggage claim, currency exchange (the ticket counter only accepts cash), and buying a SIM card take at least an hour, and with big queues – two. The last bus leaves at 18:30, and tickets for it may run out. In that case, plan for a taxi or an overnight stay in Bangkok.
In Hua Hin, the bus arrives at the Roong Reuang Coach carrier's station (station on the map). It's located outside the city, near Hua Hin Airport, so to get to hotels in the center you'll need to take a taxi for 150–200 baht (5.95 USD) or a passing bus. Hua Hin's city bus station is almost in the center, but buses from Suvarnabhumi don't arrive there.
In Cha-Am, the bus makes a stop on the main highway opposite Bangkok Bank. The ticket costs the same as to Hua Hin – 361 baht (10.74 USD). You need to ask the driver to stop in Cha-Am in advance.
If You Arrive Late
Roong Reuang Coach buses don't run at night: the last departure leaves at 18:30. If your plane landed later and you didn't make the bus, there are several options:
- Taxi. The simplest way. The official taxi counter is on the first floor by the exit from the arrivals hall, and you can also order a car through Grab. A trip to Hua Hin costs from 2,300 baht (68.43 USD), the fare doesn't depend on the time of day.
- Fellow travelers. In the arrivals hall and near Exit No. 8, drivers and passengers often look for fellow travelers to split the cost of the trip. Sometimes the taxi drivers themselves gather groups. But there's no guarantee that fellow travelers will be found specifically for Hua Hin: this direction is less popular than, say, Pattaya.
- The first bus. If you arrived in the middle of the night, you can wait for the first bus at 6:30 and ride to Hua Hin in comfort. You'll have to wait a few hours, but the savings are substantial.
- Via Bangkok. If you arrived in the evening and missed the bus, you can get to the city on the Airport Rail Link (up to 45 baht (1.34 USD) to Phaya Thai station), spend the night at a hotel, and in the morning leave for Hua Hin from one of the capital's bus stations, for example from Sai Tai Mai or Ekkamai. Keep in mind that the Airport Rail Link runs until about midnight.
From Hua Hin to the Airport

Back from Hua Hin to Suvarnabhumi Airport, it's most convenient to go by taxi or the Roong Reuang Coach bus. A taxi will cost a little less than from the airport: you can find one for 2,000 baht (59.51 USD) if you arrange it in advance.
Roong Reuang Coach buses depart from the carrier's station of the same name (station on the map). It's located outside the city, near Hua Hin Airport, not in the center, so from hotels it's most convenient to get there by taxi for 150–200 baht (5.95 USD) or by a passing bus. Buses run from 06:00 to 18:00 roughly every hour. Buying tickets in advance isn't necessary, but to avoid a situation where there are no free seats on the departure that suits your timing, it's better to buy tickets a day before departure at the station ticket office or online via these links:
