Description and is it worth a visit
Mae Klong Village and Market are located 80 kilometers from Bangkok in the province of Samut Songkhram Province. This is a great place for a day trip from Bangkok to little-known places for tourists in order to see a unique tourist attraction on the one hand, and a daily phenomenon for Thais on the other.
The fact is that here is the famous railway market, in which sellers with their goods and stalls are located right on the railway tracks. It is called deadly, although in fact, objectively speaking, trains appear here only 4 times a day strictly on schedule, and sellers remove all their trays and goods from the tracks in advance. The train is more dangerous for tourists who, with their cameras, climb right under the wheels to capture a "unique" selfie. But since the market is located on the rails just a few tens of meters from the terminus of the railway line, and the train goes very slowly. By the way, there are so many tourists here that you have to fight for a good place to take pictures. To be honest, it's generally difficult to see and photograph anything here without Asians taking selfies in the frame.
To see everything in action, you will have to come here and wait for the arrival or departure of the train. They arrive daily at 08.30 11.10 14.30 17.40, and depart at 06.20 09.00 11.30 15.30. The market itself is open from 08:00 to 18:00. By the way, it's best to come by the same train, watch the departure, take a walk around the town, and return to the station by its arrival, so that you can leave on it later. The route from Bangkok to here passes through the village of Maha Chai, where you will need to transfer from train to train.

🚶 How to get there
The market is located along the railway tracks at the terminus of the Mae Klong railway line between the villages of Maha Chai and Mae Klong (market on the map). This line is no longer connected to anything, and trains run on it only between these villages. Moreover, in the village of Maha Chai, this is also the terminal station.
To get here, you need to take the train to the village of Maha Chai at the railway station Wongwian Yai Railway Station in Bangkok (fare 10 baht, in the journey takes 1 hour). In Maha Chai from the railway station you need to walk a couple of minutes to the Mahachai Pier pier, from where very often the ferry goes to the other side for 3 baht. On the other side of the river, you need to walk another 5 minutes to Ban Laem railway station. At Ban Laem Station, take the train to Mae Klong Station and the market (10 baht, 1 hour on the way).
