Minivans depart to Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Pattaya, villages Mae Klong and Mahachai and others. For the bus schedules available for online booking from Bangkok, including from this bus station, see below.
The bus station is very big. Inside there is a waiting area, a market, cash desks, a bank, ATMs, cafes. Tickets for long-distance buses need to be bought at the ticket offices, and access to buses for already purchased tickets is carried out on the third floor of the terminal. From the center of Bangkok
A taxi ride from the center, depending on the area, will cost 200-350 baht (from 6.13 USD, see Thailand's currency and exchange rate). The nearest area is Khaosan Road, then Sukhumvit.
It is much more economical to get there by city buses, the trip can cost from 8 baht. But from some areas you will have to make a transfer. To plan a bus route to the terminal from the place you need, you can use the route planner on the google map or the ViaBus application, but keep in mind that the information there is sometimes outdated. Therefore, you can double-check the routes on the official website of Bangkok city buses - http://www.bmta.co.th/en/bus-lines. The bus stop is right at the entrance to the terminal, and the bus turns off the highway here to drop off or pick up passengers. But maybe some of them make stops only at stops on the highway, check on the spot.

If you need to get there inexpensively, then take the A1 or A2 express bus to Victory Monument, and from there take buses No. 125, 515, 183, 177 or 539. A1 and A2 run from 07:30 to 23:30 every 20 minutes, the cost is 30 baht. They are sent from the terminal exit.

Now there is another option to get here from Don Muang – by city trains on the red line, although we haven't tried it yet. To do this, go from the airport through the transition to the railway station of the same name, and there take the commuter train to Taling Chan Junction station. The fare will cost 42 baht, trains run every 15 minutes. From Taling Chan Junction station to the southern bus station, you can walk two and a half kilometers with a light backpack, call a taxi (about 100 baht), or take the 79 bus, although you will also have to walk to its stop.
