The city of Limassol is not considered a very good place to get acquainted with the sights, but this is only at first glance. In fact, it is very conveniently located, and staying here, you can get acquainted with the sights of Paphos, and visit the Troodos Mountain Region, and even go to Larnaca or Nicosia. In addition, in Limassol itself and its surroundings there are several museums, archaeological parks, many ancient ruins, temples and mosques. So, you can visit the Limassol Castle and the museum in it, take a walk in the area of the Old Port and the Molos embankment, see several old churches and a mosque. There are several small museums, a mini-zoo in the city park, a water park on the outskirts of the city.
To see all this, you will have to rent a car, because there are not many local buses: they rarely go, they are expensive, they do not go to all the sights. It is best to rent a car at the airport on arrival, and not in Limassol itself, so it will be much cheaper (read in detail about renting transport in Cyprus here...).
If you do not drive your own transport, then you can hire a car with a driver (but this is very expensive), or buy group excursions. The latter are sold in travel agencies on the street of the city, in the Tourist Information Center on the embankment (Travel Information Office on the map), or online:
