What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting

Lofou Village - traditional Gorna hamlet in the foothills Troodos Mountain region 27 kilometers from Limassol. It can be visited as a tourist attraction along the way during a trip from Limassol or from other resorts to Troodos and Mount Olympus (Olympos), but it is also an independent resort with a dozen accommodation options.

This is a very picturesque place, imbued with traditional architecture and atmosphere. Here you can walk along the narrow winding streets, take beautiful photos, visit the Free Museum of the old Olive Mill and a mini-cave, a large Greek Orthodox Church. As in any similar village there is an atmospheric Tavern. Without lunch in the tavern, you can see the whole village in an hour.

As already mentioned, there are several options for accommodation if you want to get a closer look at the village life of mountain villages. But keep in mind that there is nothing to do here except for walking along the village streets and the surrounding area, so it is difficult to withstand longer than two days here.
