Visa to Cyprus for Belarusians

Cyprus is a member of the European Union but has not yet fully joined the Schengen Agreement. Therefore, to visit the country, you can get a national visa, or enter the country using a valid Schengen or visas of some countries.

Belarusian citizens need a visa to visit Cyprus. A free pro-visa, both for Russians and Ukrainians, is not valid for citizens of Belarus, you will have to get one of the types of paper visa in your passport.

The easiest and most inexpensive way is to get a national visa of Cyprus, but if you plan to travel to several European countries at once, then it makes sense to apply for other types of visas.

Keep in mind that Cyprus is systematically moving towards full accession to the Schengen area, and perhaps this will take place in the coming years. After that, it will be impossible to get an inexpensive national visa, you will have to apply for Schengen.

Separately, there is a question of visiting the northern part of the Island (Northern Cyprus), which from the point of view of the Republic of Cyprus is considered occupied by Turkey. So: citizens of Belarus can visit Cyprus:

  • Valid multiple-entry Schengen visa, Bulgarian, Croatian, Romanian visa (for all citizens of the CIS countries).
  • On a paper National visa obtained in advance at the embassy (for citizens of the CIS countries for a fee, free of charge only for citizens of the Russian Federation).
  • Visa-free if you have a residence permit in the EU (for citizens of all CIS countries).

How to get a national visa to Cyprus for Belarusians.

National visas of Cyprus for tourists are issued category C of the following types:

  • Single entry – only one entry.
  • Double – you can enter twice in the period of its validity.
  • Multiple –you can enter an unlimited number of times.

All of them give the right to rest in Cyprus for no more than 90 days every 180 days.

To obtain a visa, you must apply in person or through a representative to the consulate. You can apply both to the Consular Department of Ukraine and to consulates in the territory of the Russian Federation. The list of documents in comparison with the one submitted for obtaining a Schengen visa is small, and in general the procedure and requirements are much simpler. Visa costs

The consular fee for a single - entry visa is 20 euros, for a two-and multiple-entry visa-60 euros. In addition to this, you will also have to pay a fee for computer registration of data – 2 Belarusian rubles.

But this is not all, and you will have to issue tourist medical insurance, which is included in the mandatory list of documents submitted. It will cost about 1 euro per day of travel.
