What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
In the center of Limassol there are several temples interesting in terms of architecture and history. Some of them are very old, some are restored or built recently. They are located compactly within the tourist area, and you can easily see or visit them yourself on foot while walking through the tourist center of Limassol.
There is no great need to describe each temple separately, here is a brief description of each of them:
- Cathedral of Ayia Napa (Ayia Napa Cathedral). Built at the turn of the XIX and XX centuries on the site of the old Byzantine church. Interesting elements of traditional Byzantine architecture. Cathedral on the map.
- Catholic Church of St. Catherine (St Catherine Catholic Church). A Catholic Church built between 1872 and 1879. Inside is very beautifully finished. Church on the map.

- Catholic Church of Limassol (Limassol Catholic church). The modern Catholic Church of Limassol is located almost next to the Orthodox Church of Panagia Panantasis. Temple on the map.
