Phuket and Krabi are separated by only 170 kilometers, and you can travel between them by bus (minivan), boat and, theoretically, by plane. The latter option is inconvenient and expensive in practice, since flights are operated only with a transfer in Bangkok.

🚌 By bus
From Phuket's new bus station to Krabi and back from 07:00 to 18:00, a minivan worth 140 baht departs every hour (see currency of Thailand, exchange rate). There is no need to purchase tickets in advance, you can buy them immediately before shipment.
In Krabi, minivans stop at the Talat Kao bus station and then go to the center of Krabi-town, where they drop off passengers on the main street Maharaj Alley. If you need to get further to the resort Ao Nang, then you can take a Songthaew shuttle bus from the center and from the bus station to Ao Nang in 50-100 baht, 40 minutes on the way. The island of Lanta can be reached by minivans for 400 baht.
Also right from Phuket beaches travel agencies send minivans to Krabi, but we would recommend refraining from their services, because the trip with them can take a long time.

There are several carriers on these routes, all have their own schedules. Some ferries dock for a few hours on the island of Phi Phi, there are also tickets with an open date (Open Ticket) that will allow you to get off at Phi Phi Island, stay with us for a few days and take the ferry to Krabi again.
