One of the main advantages of Krabi-town and Krabi province in general is the relative inaccessibility of these places for mass tourists. It is for this reason that most of the guests of Krabi are independent travelers or winterers (those who come to Thailand for a few months to overwinter). Recently, the situation has been changing, and even charter flights from Russia to Krabi Airport have appeared, but this has not fundamentally changed the situation yet. Well, for a more or less experienced traveler, getting to Krabi Town on the crossbar will not be difficult. In addition, Krabi Town is the main transport gateway to the province, and almost all possible transport brings travelers here.

To Krabi by plane
There are many daily flights here from major cities in Thailand (Bangkok, about. Koh Samui, Chiang Mai), from neighboring countries (Singapore, Kuala Lumpur), as well as seasonal direct charter flights from Vladivostok. We are not aware of any other charter flights from Russia to Krabi.
Nevertheless, there will be no big problems to fly to Krabi from Russia with a transfer in Bangkok. To save a little, it makes sense to purchase a domestic flight from one of the low-cost airlines AirAsia or NokAir. Their prices can be "caught" comparable to the cost of a bus ride from Bangkok. You can also fly by low-cost airlines from Kuala Lumpur and Chiang Mai.
Also, a good option to get closer to Krabi by plane is to fly by charter or an inexpensive regular flight to Phuket, and from there to Krabi in 3-4 hours by bus (see below).
You can find and book flights to Krabi on the dates you need using the search form. The search is very flexible and allows you to find flights on different dates, with or without transfers, in both directions or one, etc.:

How to get from the airport to Krabi Town
Each flight at the airport is met by an airport bus, which goes to Krabi Town, costs 90 baht (see currency of Thailand, exchange rate). Cheaper can be reached by minibus (about 50 baht). If you do not find a shuttle bus at the exit from the airport, go through the parking lot forward, to the main road Thanon Phetkasem Rd, and go to the other side of the road. That's where you need to catch a minibus.
To Krabi by bus
Bus service in Thailand is very developed (see traveling by bus in Thailand), and Krabi is no exception. You can get here by bus from Bangkok, Phuket Island, Suratthani (Suratthani, the gateway city to Koh Samui, the nearest railway station), from Koh Samui (ferry bus). There are no buses from Pattaya to Krabi, so you'll have to get through Bangkok. There are even minivans from Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi Island and Penang) and Singapore.
Large regular buses to Krabi arrive at Talad Kao bus station, which is located four kilometers from the city (on the map). From it you can get to the city by minibus for 20 baht, and in Ao Nang from 60 baht. Minibuses are sent by occupancy, but if you don't want to wait long, you can immediately go to them as a taxi for 100 baht (3 USD).
Some minivans from Phuket, Surat Thani and other nearby cities arrive directly in the city center on Maharaja Alley Street. You can buy tickets online to Krabi using the search form:

To Krabi by train
There is no railway through Krabi Town, and the most convenient railway station to get here is Surat Thani. You can get there by train from Bangkok, Hua Hin, Malaysia and Singapore, as well as from the northern provinces of Thailand with a transfer in Bangkok. Buses to Krabi depart directly from the railway station (approximately 150 baht, 4-5 hours on the way). If there are no buses from the railway station in time, you can get to the Surat Thani bus station, from where buses run more often (see above).
Even closer is the railway station in the city of Trang south of Krabi. From there, the bus goes a little less, 3 hours, but due to the fact that you have to travel longer by train to Trang (if from Bangkok), there is no benefit in time and money.

To Krabi by boat (ferry)
Attention! In the low season (from May to November), many ferries change their schedules or cancel flights altogether.
Ferry service connects Krabi Town with the resorts and islands of the province. Ferry tickets are easiest to buy at travel agencies or at the hotel reception. At the same time, the ticket usually also includes delivery from the hotel to the corresponding pier.
