Victoria Water Park
This is the only water park in the Samara region. It works all year round. There are very high slides for adults, small ones for children, pools for very young children, in general, everything is like in any other good water park. The only bad thing here is that it takes a very long time to get to the water park, since it is located on the outskirts of the city at the other end from the historical center, and the fact that there are almost always a lot of people here. And it's also inconvenient that there is only one tariff for the whole day.

Tropical Butterfly Park
Tropical Butterfly Park "The world of exotic butterflies" in Samara is a place where you can not only see a large number of species of these beautiful creatures, but also buy them. Butterflies do not just live in this park, they are also grown here for subsequent sale. Butterflies are sold live and framed as a souvenir. As for the butterfly exhibition, although it is not very large, it pleases both adults and children with its bright colors. The park is large and green, so it is suitable not only for entertainment, but also for hiking. In the center there is a lake, or rather a canal with a water bike rental, at the outskirts there is a tiny "Swan Lake" with ducks. As for the attractions, we will not exaggerate their attractiveness. Basically, these are children's carousels, swings, shooting ranges, trampolines and just a few extreme entertainments interesting to teenagers and adults.

Soka tunnels
Soka tunnels This is a relatively new attraction of Samara and the region, previously known only to a narrow circle of local tourist enthusiasts and local residents of the neighboring village. Today, everyone can visit the tunnels, including guided tours (so far unofficial). They are located at the base of the Tip-Tyav mountain (sometimes called Tip-Tyaf) on the outskirts of Samara near the Sok River. In the middle of the last century, until 1980, large-scale lime mining was carried out here. According to various estimates, the length of the passages here is more than 40 kilometers, and therefore their visit is associated with certain risks. Read more about Sokskie tunnels and how to visit them here.
Practical Information
🕐 Working hours: around the clock.
💵 Entrance fee / tickets price: free.
🚶 How to get there: the tunnels are located on the outskirts of Samara at the confluence of the Sok River with the Volga. There are several entrances to them, the main one No. 1 is located on the side of the Sok river almost at the road level, here is its exact position on the map (the main entrance of the Soksky tunnels on the map). There is a dirt parking lot nearby, from where you need to climb to the entrance just a couple of dozen meters along the trail. We highly do not recommend other entrances for independent visits without experience.
It is best to get to the main entrance by car, but if this is not possible, then you can also take buses. Buses (minibuses) № 392, 389, 447, 113, 406, 79, 78 and others often go to the village of Volzhsky from the Frunze Glade and the main bus station during the day, but they do not go directly to the entrance to the tunnels. You need to get off at the stop "Traffic police Post", and from there to the entrance on foot a little more than a kilometer.
Just in case, we remind you once again that the best way to get acquainted with interesting places in Samara is excursions. And even better, if they are held by local residents who know and love their hometown well. You can find and book group or individual excursions from local residents with reviews on these trusted sites:
