House-Museum of V. I. Lenin is a branch of P. V. Alabin Museum of local lore. It is located in the former household of the Samara merchant I. A. Rytikov built in 1885, a historical monument of federal significance. The second floor of this house from May 1890 to August 1893 was rented by the Ulyanov family.
Actually, the exposition of this museum is devoted to the theme of everyday life and the history of the stay of Lenin's family in Samara. Many of the items, furniture, piano belonged to the Ulyanov family, and were collected and bought after the 40s of the last century from the inhabitants of Kuibyshev (the year Samara was called). As a result, it was possible to restore the situation down to the wallpaper and glass in the windows. But during the visit you will be able to get acquainted not only with the life of the Ulyanov family, but also with the life of families of that time in general. The museum is not small and not very spectacular, but with an excursion its visit will be interesting and informative. Guided tours are available for an additional fee.
