What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
Samara zoo - the only permanent Zoo in the Samara region. Compared with the capital, or even zoos of other major cities of the Russian Federation, it is small, there are not very many animals, and the price is too high. But since it is the only one, residents of the region and guests of the city have no other choice. Here you can see the Amur tiger, the Far Eastern leopard, the African lion, monkeys, crocodiles, peacocks and others (see the full list on the zoo's website). Donkey and pony rides are offered on weekends.
