Description and is it worth a visit
Hot springs–waterfall Ron (Hot Springs Waterfall - Namtok Ron) - these are the most popular among tourists, and perhaps the most picturesque hot springs in Krabi province. They are also called Ron Waterfall, because the natural hot really flows down in the form of a small waterfall, in the jets of which you can swim. The springs are very popular as an excursion destination for group tourists from Krabi and even Phuket, from where to get as much as 6 hours.
The beauty of this place is that the hot water pools here are formed naturally, and not in tiled or concrete pools, as in other places. Water from a large stream with natural hot water flows through several small waterfalls into natural pools, which, however, were still reinforced with masonry and concrete for a more convenient descent. But around the pools there is a dense green forest. There are also large concrete pools a little further away.
The healing properties of these springs are weak, so you can swim in them for a long time. Although formally the inscription on the sign limits bathing to 20 minutes, in fact no one follows this, and many tourists and locals spend several hours here, of course with interruptions, getting out of the water. However, keep in mind that in the first half of the day, already at 9 o'clock in the morning, many groups of tourists are brought here for excursions, the place becomes catastrophically small. Therefore, if you decide to visit them yourself, it is better to choose early morning or afternoon.
You can combine a visit to this place with a visit to blue and emerald pools (Blue pool, Emerald pool), which are located a few kilometers from here. Excursions, as a rule, include visits to all these attractions.
