The name of this place is also spelled Plern Wan or Plearn Wan. It's another great spot for leisurely evening strolls in Hua Hin. It's definitely worth a visit one evening, along with the Hua Hin night market and the Cicada market.
Plearnwan can also be seen as a night market (although it's open during the day too, it's most interesting to visit in the evening), but it's something more. It's more of an open-air museum than just a market. It's styled after the 1950s, with several installations created here that transport visitors back to that era. Even if you're not planning to buy anything here, it's still interesting to visit.
Besides shopping and strolling through the museum, you can have a bit of fun here (play old slot machines, throw darts) and eat at a cafe. The goods here are mostly unusual too. Lots of handmade items and craft products. There's a retro musical instrument shop. Everything is quite expensive, but the items are unusual – even the confectionery is stylized. But there are also simple, inexpensive souvenirs.

🚶 How to Get There
Plearnwan is quite far north of the center (toward Cha-Am) on Thanon Phetkasem Road (Plearnwan on the map), and it's best to get here by taxi or songthaew (green). Parking is paid, 20 baht for a motorbike (0.59 USD, )see Thailand currency and exchange rate). If you want to park for free, you can leave your bike about thirty meters from the entrance to Plearnwan, right along the road.
