Adler

Adler - the famous resort and the southernmost microdistrict of the resort city of Sochi, is located 30 kilometers from the city center (Adler on the map. In some guidebooks you can find references to the "city of Adler", but this is a completely incorrect characteristic. In fact, Adler is not a city, but only a district and part of the city of Sochi, and in no other way.

This is one of the most popular and developed beach resorts in Sochi. In our opinion (the authors of the site) this is generally the most convenient and most "Party" place to stay in Sochi, perhaps even better than the center.

The main advantage of Adler is its convenient location. It is easy to get here, because here is the main international airport of Sochi and a modern railway station. But what is even better, during the rest from Adler during the day on local transport it is easy to visit the city center, the village of Sirius, go to the mountains to the resorts of Krasnaya Polyana, see many attractions in the vicinity, and even go on excursions to Abkhazia.

There are many beaches in Adler, their length is more than 8 kilometers. But objectively they can not be called the cleanest and most attractive on the coast of Sochi. The fact is that the mountain river Mzym, which flows into the sea, brings with it silt and sand, which makes the water muddy. Well, the old concrete breakwaters that break the beach into short sections of 50-60 meters do not add beauty at all, and the rebar sticking out of the concrete and huge concrete blocks under the water along the shore also spoil the view.

Imereti resort or village Sirius

Imereti resort (Imeretinka) or Sirius located in the very south of the Krasnodar Territory near Adler (Sirius on the map). This is the southernmost Black Sea resort of Russia, immediately behind it begins Abkhazia. Previously (until 2020), the title of the southernmost resort belonged to the village of Veseloe, but now its coastal territory is occupied by Sirius.

So, Imereti resort or Sirius is a young beach resort with a well-developed infrastructure, wide streets, new hotels and sanatoriums, a well-equipped promenade and long beaches. Inside Sirius, you can conditionally allocate microdistricts that are quite different in infrastructure and conditions for recreation, but more about them below in the section "where to choose a hotel". It is quite possible to go here for the entire period of your vacation, or go to Sirius during the day from the resorts of Sochi to visit several significant attractions and entertainment.

Khosta - beach and therapeutic resort in Greater Sochi, located 20 kilometers south of the center of Sochi (Khosta city center on the map). This is a traditional beach resort, which is famous for its beautiful nature, clean air, and even, as it is considered, a milder climate compared to neighboring resorts. This Khosta owes its location among the low peaks that protect the territory from strong winds and snow. Snow, by the way, is a very rare phenomenon here: if it falls in the middle of winter, then only for a few days.

But not only beach holidays and a comfortable subtropical climate attract vacationers and tourists here. On the territory of Khostinsky district there are many interesting natural and historical sights. True, for the sake of objectivity, it is worth noting that in the center of Khosta there is actually only one attraction – this is a very modest museum of local lore. All other notable places are scattered far from the center of the district, and to visit them, you will have to take excursions or independently get to them by car or local buses.

Note that the host has features that will not appeal to every vacationer. The beach line here is divided into short sections by old concrete breakwaters from Soviet times. They look shabby, as if from the century before last. A railway runs along the coast through the whole of Khosta, which separates the beaches from the resort, makes it difficult to get to them and "decorates" the resort with rows of barbed wire on fences. As a result, you can go to the beaches in just a few places: in the center near the mouth of the Khosta River; passage next to the railway station, from the Sanatorium "Cape Vidny", near the stop "branch of the sanatorium "Aurora". There are also problems with access to individual sanatorium beaches, which take away space for recreation on an already unstrung and narrow shore.

Lazarevskoye

Lazarevskoye settlement or microdistrict it is about 70 kilometers away from the center of Sochi (Lazarevskoye on the map. In general, to be more precise, as such, officially the village of Lazarevskoye does not exist, but there is a microdistrict within the vast Lazarevsky district, but it is customary to call it a village.

Rest in Lazarevskoye, as in all other resorts of the area,of course, Beach. In general, in our opinion, this is one of the most developed and pleasant resorts in Sochi. It is not as cool and fun as in the center of Sochi, but it offers a lot of tourist entertainment, there are natural attractions, prices are significantly lower. And, of course, the beaches and the sea in our opinion are better and cleaner here than in the center or in Adler, for example.

Lazarevskoye is perfect for all tourists, including families with children. It will not be boring here and young people, for this you just need to choose the right place to relax. The most fun and party place is the center of the neighborhood. If you settle on the outskirts or in general in other resorts of the Lazarevsky district, you will find yourself in a calmer and quieter environment, but without a developed infrastructure and tourist entertainment at hand. Fortunately, you can always get by bus, train or taxi to the center of Lazarevskoye or Sochi.

And here you can correct your health, for which you can stay in one of the sanatoriums offering a range of services for treatment and recovery. And although Lazarevskoye is not particularly known as a balneological resort, it has its own therapeutic mud and mineral waters.

Loo

Loo - a resort village on the Black Sea coast, one of the most popular for budget holidays in the resort city of Sochi. Officially, Loo is not a village, but one of the microdistricts in the greater Lazarevsky District of Sochi, but in fact it is an independent Resort and a large village, one of the largest in the district. It is located 45 kilometers from the center of Lazarevskoye and 25 kilometers from the center of Sochi (Loo on the map).

This is a typical and very popular beach resort in Sochi with a well-developed infrastructure and a large number of budget accommodation options. Actually, it is the latter that stands out among all the other more or less developed and large resorts of Sochi. If you do not have large funds for rest in expensive Sochi hotels or did not have time in advance before the start of the season to book accommodation at a reasonable price, then Loo is one of your options.

At the same time, everything you need for recreation is here: Clean Sea and beach, traditional tourist entertainment on the shore and embankment, there is a water park and a dolphinarium, inexpensive catering, inexpensive group excursions are sold. And all this for a reasonable price, which will be affordable for everyone who wants to relax on the Black Sea coast. For example, even in peak season, you can stay in a private guest house cheaper than 1000 rubles for two, and a family of 2+2 can easily find options from 1500 rubles.

Uch-Dere

Uch-Dere or Uchdere - a beach resort and microdistrict in the Lazarevsky District of Sochi, 15 kilometers from the city center (Uch-Dere on the map. Very close to UD-Dere is loo, and on the other side is another resort village Dagomys.

Officially, Uch-Dere is an independent microdistrict, consists of the villages of Nizhne, Kulturnoye and Verkhne Uch-Dere, and has nothing to do with the village of loo. But in practice, the border between Loo and Uchdere points is erased, so often Uch-Dere is perceived by tourists as one of the beaches of loo. Even more confusing is the fact that the Uch-Dere railway station is not located within the boundaries of the microdistrict.

Uch-Dere is a classic beach resort in Greater Sochi with long beaches, satisfactorily developed urban and tourist infrastructure, tourist entertainment. If we talk about the tourist center near the station "mountain air" (Nizhny Uch-Dere), then there is everything you need for a simple beach holiday: shops and markets, selling excursions, many options for accommodation, there is a water park "Aqualoo" and a dolphinarium.

The rest here will appeal to young people, families with children and the older generation, but, of course, there are some peculiarities: not everyone will like only pebble beaches and great depth; there are no night clubs with progressive and modern music; inconvenience during the rest is caused by the railway and Road between the tourist area and the beach.

Dagomys

Dagomys - a small resort village in Lazarevsky District, 13 kilometers from the center of Sochi (Dagomys on the map. Despite its small size, it is one of the most developed and popular beach resorts in the Lazarevsky district. There is a good Pebble Beach, well-developed infrastructure, transport, there is a railway station. The Dagomys Zapadnaya river flows through the village, dividing it into two parts.

This is a traditional Sochi Beach Resort, a holiday in which is suitable for lovers of a relaxing holiday on the shore in a cozy atmosphere of a quiet village. Rest here will appeal to all categories and ages of vacationers, but if you are looking for a place where there are beaches and entertainment, it is better to go to another resort, such as Adler or the center of Sochi. Here the atmosphere is calmer, although it is not worth considering that it is like in the village. At the height of the beach season, the promenade is quite noisy and fun: cafes and restaurants work, simple entertainment, music plays everywhere.

The beaches in Dagomys are pebbly, only in places there is an admixture of gray sand. Pebbles on different beaches and different parts of the coast differ in size, but mostly it is medium and large pebbles, for the passage of which it is worth getting special beach shoes for swimming aquashusa.

Krasnaya Polyana

Krasnaya Polyana - a large village in the resort city of Sochi, a popular ski and Mountain Resort, and a favorite place for vacationers on the beaches to visit in the form of a day trip. The village of esto-Sadok also belongs to the village.

Historically, all mountain and ski resorts located above the center of the village and related to it are called "Krasnaya Polyana". In fact, as part of the village there are as many as three resorts or mountain tourist complexes (GTC), which are generically called Krasnaya Polyana, although each has its own name: Rosa Khutor; Krasnaya Polyana, aka Gorki-the city or village of Estosadok earlier; GTC Gazprom. The historical and actual center of Krasnaya Polyana village and its residential area is a little lower and away from these resorts (center of the village on the map).

In winter, this is, of course, the most modern and developing ski resort in Russia, and at the same time the most expensive. There are from 6 to 40 lifts, depending on the method of counting, and at least 30 trails of different complexity and for different sports. In summer, Krasnaya Polyana becomes an excursion place and a mountain resort. Vacationers at this time in the beach resorts of Sochi most often come here during the day on their own or with excursions in order to climb the mountains on one of the cable cars operating in the summer season especially for tourists, and visit other interesting places and attractions, such as: many hiking trails, waterfalls, dolmens, museums and even a water park.
