Lazarevsky district - this is the largest area of the resort city of Sochi, stretches for as much as 105 kilometers along the coast north of Central Sochi. The center and main resort of the district is lazarevskoye settlement or microdistrict, which is about 70 kilometers from the center of Sochi (Lazarevskoye on the map. In general, to be more precise, as such, officially the village of Lazarevskoye does not exist, but there is a microdistrict, but it is customary to call it a village. In fact, Lazarevskoye is the most developed resort of the entire district, it is even more like an independent city than a village.

In addition to the village of Lazarevskoye, Lazarevskoye district includes several small independent towns:

Most of these resorts are very tiny, consist of a couple of streets, several sanatoriums and a dozen hotels or mini-hotels.

Rest in Lazarevskoye like all other resorts in the area, of course, the beach. In general, in our opinion, this is one of the most developed and pleasant resorts in Sochi. It is not as cool and fun as in the center of Sochi, but it offers a lot of tourist entertainment, there are natural attractions, prices are significantly lower. And, of course, the beaches and the sea in our opinion are better and cleaner here than in the center or in Adler for example.

Lazarevskoye is perfect for all tourists, including families with children. It will not be boring here and young people, for this you just need to choose the right place to relax. The most fun and party place is the center of the neighborhood. If you settle on the outskirts or in general in other resorts of the Lazarevsky district, you will find yourself in a calmer and quieter environment, but without a developed infrastructure and tourist entertainment at hand. Fortunately, you can always get by bus, train or taxi to the center of Lazarevskoye or Sochi.

And here you can correct your health, for which you can stay in one of the sanatoriums offering a range of services for treatment and recovery. And although Lazarevskoye is not particularly known as a balneological resort, it has its own therapeutic mud and mineral waters.

• Environmentally friendly place: there are no industries and drains of the big city, the water is clean and transparent.

Beaches in Lazarevskoye

The length of the coast here is about 7 kilometers, but if we talk about the central part of the resort, the beach here stretches for a little over three kilometers. On the shore only pebbles, no sand. The depth is gained quickly, and already 5 meters from the shore the water is on the shoulders of even adults. But, due to the sharp depth and the absence of concrete breakwaters, there are rarely strong waves, and if there are, they are formed near the shore. But it is worth going or swimming a little further, as the water is calmer. By the way, the water here is clean and transparent compared to many other Sochi Resorts, since there is no sand and silt on the bottom, and there are no mountain rivers flowing into the sea.

All three kilometers of the beach are divided into beach areas with their own separate names in accordance with belonging to a particular hotel or cafe. There are also comfort zones with their own names. So, it is customary to distinguish at least the following beaches: Dolphin, Svirsky, turquoise and quiet don, starfish, Grenada Boarding House, Central Municipal Lazurnoe, Prometheus, Victoria, Vzmorye, Shchastye, Salyut.

There are also beaches outside the village of Lazarevskoye, including wild and nudist: Laguna, lazarevskoye sanatorium, Odyssey sanatorium, Kolos rest home.

Another thing is if you choose a boarding house or sanatorium with its own beach, in which on the shore you will be provided with the service of the institution, for example, free sun beds and umbrellas, toilet, shower, massage, medical supervision and other services. But even in this case, you should choose accommodation rather according to the living conditions, Service and quality of the rooms of the sanatorium itself, and not along the beach. So it is better to read reviews before booking than a description of the beaches of the sanatorium. And, of course, take into account the general location of the sanatorium, i.e. how far it is from the center of the resort and the exit to the beach. Infrastructure in Lazarevskoye

Lazarevskoye is one of the most developed resorts in Greater Sochi with excellent urban and resort infrastructure. There are two large shopping centers "Biryuza" and "Pavlovsky"; chain supermarkets "Pyaterochka", "magnet", "red and white" and even the super-budget "Traffic Light"; markets and mini-markets; tourist markets. The railway station is located in the center, city buses of Greater Sochi constantly run along the Main Street, and you can take passing intercity buses.

Tourist infrastructure is not inferior to the city. Excursions, tickets to local water parks and dolphinariums, and other entertainment are offered everywhere. The main place of concentration of tourist infrastructure is, of course, the embankment. It is literally crammed with merchants of tourist goods, fast food and draft drinks, sellers of excursions, tourist transfers, rental of bicycles and other individual transport. There are also many cafes, restaurants and inexpensive canteens, so you can eat without breaking away from the beach for a long time. Well, if you do not disdain, you can buy traditional beach fast food right on the shore from the peddlers. If you prefer to eat in a more comfortable environment, you can do it in one of the fast food chain restaurants Burger King, «Vkusno I tochka» (ex. McDonalds) or KFC.

There are plenty of accommodation options in Lazarevskoye, but in the peak season in summer almost everything is filled, prices rise significantly. If you need comfortable accommodation at a good price, it is better to plan your vacation in advance and book it a month or two in advance. The best hotels and sanatoriums make sense to book in general in winter.

As for the choice of accommodation, we advise not to pay much attention to the proximity to specific beaches in Lazarevskoye, unless you are choosing a sanatorium or hotel with a conditionally private beach. It is more important to pay attention to the possibility of going ashore from the place of residence in the shortest way.

The fact is that the railway along the coast cuts off the beaches from residential areas and hotels, especially in the northern part of the resort (towards Tuapse). You can go to the beaches there only through equipped crossings over the railway, and they are (transitions) at a respectful distance from each other. Hotels and accommodation in this part of the resort are a little cheaper, but when searching and booking, read in the reviews how far you have to go to the beach.

The situation is much better south of Lazarevskaya railway station (towards the center of Sochi). There the railway departs further from the coast and you can even settle on the first line. However, if you settle here behind the railway and Lazarev street, you again have to overcome this obstacle, besides, you will have to go even further to the beach.

Weather in Lazarevskoye and tourist seasons

How to get to Lazarevskoye

Lazarevskoye is one of the districts of Sochi, its center is located 70 kilometers from the city center and 230 kilometers from Krasnodar (Lazarevskoye on the map). This is the northernmost district of Greater Sochi, and at the same time the most remote from the airport. At the same time, as an alternative way to fly here by plane, you can use Krasnodar airport. True, to get from it directly to the place of rest in some cases will have to be transplanted, which will take almost the whole day.

Almost all regions of the Russian Federation can be reached here by train. Here is a small railway station, where all trains and trains going to Sochi and Abkhazia stop.

As for buses, theoretically you can get here on intercity flights from neighboring regions and cities of the Krasnodar Territory, as well as seasonal flights from Moscow. But we would not recommend using buses for tourist trips as they are very tiring due to the local serpentine roads.

• By plane

  By plane, you can fly to Lazarevskoye through Sochi International Airport (aka Adler airport, IATA code for ticket search – AER) and, in extreme cases, through Krasnodar airport. We recommend using the latter option only if there are no convenient or affordable flights to Sochi from your city/region, since it is long and inconvenient to get from Krasnodar airport to Lazarevskoye.

  Sochi airport is located at the other end of the city in Adler, 95 kilometers away (airport on the map). To the place of rest in Lazarevskoye or other resorts of the district from the airport you can take a taxi (from 3000 USD), city buses (from 300 USD), electric trains (from 376 USD) or rent a car. Depending on the chosen transport and traffic jams on the road will take from 2 to 5 hours.

  We advise you to use road transport (taxis, buses) with extreme caution for trips to the airport for the departure of the flight in high season or in bad weather, because at this time due to traffic jams, taxi service and travel time can be more than 4 hours. Most often, traffic jams occur during the day on weekdays, but their unforeseen appearance at any time due to accidents is not excluded. therefore, if possible, it is better to use more reliable and faster trains.

• By train

  In the center of Lazarevskoye there is a railway station (station on the map). The station is not very convenient, with a chaotic and incomprehensible arrangement of entrances and exits, but it has the most necessary things. This is a small waiting room, toilet (free of charge if tickets are available), ticket offices and automatic ticket terminals.

  The station is located almost in the center of the resort, and on arrival from here to some hotels you can even walk. If you walk far, you can order a taxi through the application (from 69 USD) or use the services of "bombed" duty at the exit (from 200 USD). Remote places of Lazarevsky or other resorts of the Lazarevsky district can be reached by city buses. Immediately at the exit from the station there is a bus stop in the direction of Sochi. If you need to get to the resorts in the direction of Tuapse, you will have to cross the road on a pedestrian bridge, and walk a couple of minutes to the bus stop.

• By bus

  By bus you can get here from Moscow and neighboring regions (Rostov-on-Don, Stavropol, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kislovodsk, Makhachkala, Astrakhan, Yalta, Kislovodsk). But we do not recommend this method, because a long bus ride along the mountain serpentines with a long standstill in traffic jams on the site after Dzhubga is unlikely to add pleasure to your vacation. Nevertheless, this is the only option if you need to get here from the cities and resorts of the Krasnodar Territory, in which there is no railway connection. These are Dzhubga, Gelendzhik, Arkhipo-Osipovka, Anapa, Novorossiysk and other cities north of Tuapse.

  There is no bus station here, buses for disembarking passengers make a stop in the direction of Sochi along Lazarev Street at city bus stops, the main stop is near the railway station. 96A Lazarev Street has a car ticket office building (ticket offices on the map), where you can get information about the Schedule of departing buses and buy tickets in advance.   From Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities of the European part of the Russian Federation, the fastest and safest way is to get along the Federal Highway M4-don.   The most difficult part of the way with a length of 100 kilometers will have to pass after Dzhubga. At the height of the tourist season, it can take up to 6 hours to travel due to constant traffic jams and serpentine roads, so if possible, plan to travel at night or early in the morning. Alternatively, you can go around the Dzhubga-Tuapse section through the Shahumyan pass, but this road is 75 kilometers longer and you will have to drive 7 kilometers through the pass on a terribly dusty and uncomfortable gravel road.

Transport in Lazarevskoye, what to use

The center of the resort is not very large, its coastal central zone stretches along the coast for a little more than three kilometers, so it is best to move during the rest on foot. Per-minute, hourly and daily rent of individual transport are also available:

City buses are intra-district, as well as to the center of Sochi, but we advise them to use mainly for short trips. It is better to get to the center of Sochi, Adler, Tuapse by train from the local railway station in the center. Attractions and entertainment in Lazarevskoye
