Despite its modest tourist importance, Dzhankoy is a fairly large and important transport hub on the peninsula. There is a junction railway station through which trains and trains from the "mainland" of the Russian Federation pass to Simferopol, Sevastopol, Yevpatoria, etc. Also through Dzhankoy there is a passenger connection by rail between Feodosia and other cities and resorts of the Crimea. Previously, there were trains with vacationers from Ukraine, but now there is no passenger service. Now this station has lost its importance as a transfer station, but trains are still actively running through it.

Given this, it will not be difficult to get here, but first, a brief overview of how to get to Dzhankoy:

Upon arrival at the airport, you can get directly to Dzhankoy only by taxi from 2,500 rubles (you can order a taxi transfer on the site intui.travel).

You can get there cheaper by buses or trains, but you will have to go with a transfer. To do this, you first need to get from the airport by city trolleybus or bus to Simferopol railway station. City transport runs frequently, travel costs from 28 rubles. Near the Simferopol railway station there is an important bus station "Kurortnaya", which is also referred to in the schedules as Simferopol AC-2.

Arriving at the station, you are already on the spot, depending on the schedule, you can take a train or a long-distance train at the railway station (from 150 rubles, an hour and a half on the way), or take a bus at the "Resort" (travel from 350 rubles, 2 hours on the way, there is a schedule and ticket booking to bus.tutu.ru and unitiki.com).

By train or train to Dzhankoy

There are two railway stations in Dzhankoy at once, both are located in the city center within walking distance of each other:

Trains from the cities of the Russian Federation to Simferopol and Sevastopol pass through the city and make a stop, and there are also many electric trains to the cities and resorts of the Crimea, including from Feodosia. Here's the schedule:

By bus

Dzhankoy city bus station is located in the city center next to the railway station of long-distance trains on Krymskaya St., 34 (bus station on the map). You can get here by bus from the major cities of Crimea, neighboring villages, as well as from the mainland of the Russian Federation.

There are bus flights from at least these Crimean cities: Simferopol (from the Kurortnaya bus station near the railway station), Kerch, Krasnoperekopsk, Yevpatoria, Sudak, Saki, Sevastopol, Armyansk, Yalta, Chongar (border with Ukraine). The most frequent flights are operated from Simferopol, approximately every 20-30 minutes. There are single flights per day from other cities, so sometimes it is faster and cheaper to get there with a transfer through Simferopol.

From the mainland of the Russian Federation there are buses from Volgograd, Astrakhan, Anapa, Bryansk, Gelendzhik, Grozny, Derbent, Krasnodar, Maikop, Makhachkala, Moscow, Nalchik, Novorossiysk, Sochi, Pyatigorsk, Rostov-on-Don. In some directions, buses do not run every day, and the most frequent flights are from Krasnodar.

By car

Dzhankoy is located far from the main tourist routes, so it is rarely visited by car even on the way. However, if you are interested in seeing this city, you can set a route through it if, for example, you are going on vacation in Olenevka, Mezhvodnoye, Chernomorskoye, Steregushchee or Evpatoria. After entering the peninsula via the Crimean bridge, you will first drive along the excellent Tavrida highway, but then you will have to turn towards Dzhankoy and continue along the E97 highway (European route Kherson-Ashkale). The last 100 kilometers of the road along it are quite good, in 2021-220 it was partially overhauled.

If you decide to continue your journey from Dzhankoy to the north or west to the mentioned Olenevka, Mezhvodnoye, etc. by the shortest route, you will have to drive along a bad asphalt road covered with patches and pits, through Botanic, Razdolnoye, Steregushchee, etc., or take a detour along good roads through Simferopol.

Theoretically, it is now possible to enter through the territory of the DPR Republic, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, but this option of entry, given the current situation, should not be considered.
