Description and is it worth a visit
Ao Tha Len Bay (also Ao Thalane) is an incredibly beautiful place and the best for kayaking in Krabi Province. Do not immediately be afraid of difficulties: visiting and kayaking in the bay is available to almost every tourist, no special skills are required to control the boat, even children can cope. And even if you are not ready for an independent trip, it is easy to get here as part of an excursion from any resort in the province. The simplest excursions include a transfer from the hotel and a guided kayak ride, the more expensive ones include additional lunch, disembarkation, horseback riding, etc., depending on the program.
The bay is small, but it goes deep into the land with a narrow strip, so the water here is almost always calm. During the walk you will enjoy magnificent views, visit several grottoes and caves, see mangroves. Also here you can meet exotic animals, fish jumpers, feed the monkeys, but there is no guarantee that you will see them, as luck would have it.
The success of visiting the bay depends, in addition to the weather, also on the tides. It is best to visit it in medium water, and not at high tide or low tide, during which some parts of the bay are inaccessible. The low tide chart can be viewed here krabitrek.com
