You can combine a visit to the Krabi Aquarium with an inspection The Krabi Shell Cemetery, which is a little further down the road after the aquarium.
In fact, this is not a tourist attraction specifically for tourists, but a Coastal Fisheries Research and Development Centre, so from the tourist's point of view, everything here looks somewhat neglected. There are several open-air reservoirs in which fish are bred and studied. You can walk over the reservoirs on bridges. Aquatic inhabitants live in them, but because of the dark water, nothing is visible, only when feeding, the outlines of certain animals appear.
The most interesting is under the roof of the pavilion with small pools and aquariums. And although aquariums look dirty and unkempt (after all, no one cleans them specifically for tourists), you can see a lot of interesting fish, mollusks, reptiles in them. This place will be interesting for both adults and children.

🚶 How to get there
The aquarium is located on the way to the Shell Cemetery (aquarium on the Krabi map). The aquarium is located right along the road and the entrance to it is easy to recognize by the figures of beautiful fish. You can get to it by minibus from Ao Nang on the route "Ao Nang – Shell Fossil Beach" (that's what it says on the bus) for 20 baht.
