Hin Lek Fai Mountain and Observation deck in Hua Hin

Description and is it worth a visit

On the mountain Khao Hin Lek Fai (also Flintstone Hill) with a height of 162 meters, three kilometers from Hua Hin, there is a whole complex of six viewing platforms connected by paths and bridges. It is believed that this is the best observation deck on the city. Indeed, it offers the widest view of the coast and the city, although it is difficult to call it incredibly picturesque, because it is just a city by the sea. Nevertheless, this place is definitely worth a visit.

In addition to the viewing points themselves, there is a whole park where you can see some exotic plants, including orchids in natural conditions. There are also peacocks walking here, some other birds and a lot of monkeys. Be careful with monkeys: keep backpacks and bags closed, watch out for glasses, chains, phones and cameras. Even if you don't see monkeys next to you, it doesn't mean that they don't exist. They can appear completely unexpectedly, including attacking (see how to behave with monkeys, precautions). Also in the park there is a monument to King Rama VII and a series of stones telling about the history of the city. You can also have a snack in the cafe upstairs.

Climbing the mountain and overcoming the route through all six viewing platforms, although it does not require special physical training, is still not an easy walk, and you will have to work a little harder. It is better to put at least a couple of hours on the visit.
