Tiny Choeng Mon Beach is located in the northeast of the island, north of Chaweng Beach (Choeng Mon beach on the map). But this does not mean that from Chawenga you can get to Chong Mon Beach on foot. Both beaches are separated by several kilometers of non-beach and non-tourist coast. Anyway, it's not easy to get here, and you can't do without your own transport or taxi. Thanks to this, it turned out to be a rather isolated and quiet area, but it is not always deserted here. This paradise is known to everyone, and therefore, in good weather and in high season, even people from other beaches come here in the hope of spending the day in an ideal place, but the result is almost the most crowded beach.

The length of the coastline on Chong Mon somehow reaches up to a kilometer. But the sand here is very fine, white and incredibly pleasant to the touch, the strip of sand is very wide. The depth is small, the bottom goes under the water gradually and smoothly. At low tide it is problematic to swim here, the water goes far away. The bottom is constantly cleaned and safe. The water is clear and always calm, because the bay is perfectly protected from winds and waves. Thanks to this, the beach is ideal for families with small children. Water activities and all the beach infrastructure are available here.

Another good "gift" for beach visitors is the tiny island of Koh Farn Noi, which is less than 100 meters from the shore. You can reach it directly on foot. And on the edges of the beach there are stones, next to which all kinds of animals are found under the water, and you can even do modest snorkeling.

The infrastructure on the beach is poorly developed. On the one hand, everything is available for recreation: hotels, restaurants, cafes, entertainment on the beach, several small supermarkets, even ATMs and currency exchangers. On the other hand, no evening entertainment except dinner at a restaurant or a walk along the shore, no shopping. To have fun or buy something serious, you will have to go to the neighboring Chaweng or to Bo Phut district.

You can only get to Chong Mon District by taxi or rented transport, Songteo fixed-route taxis do not go here. The airport is not far away, and you can get from it by taxi from 500 baht (see currency of Thailand, exchange rate), and airport minivans do not go here. A taxi ride from Naton Pier will cost from 800 baht.

To get to the beach itself, you will have to overcome the dense building of hotels, which are trying in every possible way to protect the access of one-day guests to the beach, so that vacationers from hotels will be freer and more comfortable. If you are one of these "one-day", then feel free to go to the beach through the territory of the hotels, no one has the right to stop you.

Hotels on Chong Mon are expensive, budget accommodation here, in principle, can not be found. All hotels with their own territory, and densely occupied the entire coastline. Some of them have built swimming pools directly overlooking the beach. Fortunately, there are several relatively inexpensive hotels about half a kilometer from the beach.

Summing up about Choeng Mon beach. This is a great small and cozy beach with fine pleasant sand, shallow depth, clean bottom and no waves. Perfect for a holiday with small children. But it is so popular that tourists from other beaches from all over the island come here during the day, which is why at times there is simply nowhere to fall. Hotels here are expensive, with their own territories. All the necessary infrastructure is available, but at a minimum. There is no entertainment other than the beach.
