Description and is it worth a visit

Cave temple in the mountain Phra Cave

To be honest, we do not know the exact name of this cave temple and have not found any mention of it anywhere, but perhaps this cave is part of the Wat Tham Phra cave temple complex, which is located in the same mountain, but on the other side about a kilometer from here. We stumbled upon this cave by chance when we explored the Phra Cave mountain along the perimeter. To be honest, even the name of the Phra Cave mountain is taken from electronic maps, and we don't know exactly what the locals call it. But if you suddenly know this, be sure to write in the comments.

In general, whatever the name of this cave temple, although it is not even among the famous attractions, in our opinion it is still worth a visit, especially if you are a fan of various little-known and non-tourist places. It may not be worth going here on purpose, but complete with two more little-known caves and a large Wat Tham Phra cave temple in this mountain, this is quite a good place for a short trip from Chiang Rai. In addition, it is convenient to stop here on the way to other famous places in the province, in particular hot springs Pha Soet Hot Spring, Huay Mark Liam hot springs and Huay Kaew waterfall. This entire route can be completed in one day by rented transport or with a guide by car.

The temple is small and consists of one hall, where there is a large statue of a sitting Buddha. There is a hole in the dome of the cave from above, through which rays of light penetrate in sunny weather, creating a beautiful effect. Bats also live here.

It will take 10 minutes to visit, there is nothing more to do here. There are a lot of mosquitoes inside and near the cave entrance, the repellent is very useful. And also, be careful climbing the steps, they can be very slippery.
