Nui Beach (Ao Nui Beach) is another very quiet and secluded Phuket beach without its own area. There is a dirt road leading to it, which is not easy to reach even by transport, so this place is almost always deserted and beautiful.
Nui Beach is very tiny, barely reaches 100 meters. He is very handsome, but at the same time dangerous. The depth here is decent, literally a couple of meters from the shore already up to the neck. There are rocks under the water, as well as on the shore, which, together with the waves, makes this place just extreme. Taking children here with you is not even worth thinking about. But if you are a fan of diving or swimming with a mask, this beach will please you. Perhaps this is one of the best places in Phuket for snorkeling, but again do not forget about the stones.
There is no infrastructure on Nui Beach, as well as entertainment. Previously, there was a cafe and there were sunbeds on the beach, which were provided free of charge in exchange for an entrance fee to the beach.
Getting to Nui Beach is not easy. It is located in the south between the beaches of Nai Harn and maly Karta (Nui Beach on the map). An inconspicuous dirt road leads to it, which can only be recognized by a small road sign. If you don't specifically look for it, most likely you just won't pay attention to this pointer. Then there is a very steep road downhill, along which it is quite easy to descend (be careful with the brakes on a motorbike, there is a chance to "tumble"), but the climb back can be very extreme. If it rains, then you probably just won't get out of there by car until the road dries out. There is a paid parking at the bottom, but you can leave the transport a little higher for free, but this is fraught with the possibility of a surprise in the form of a puncture of the wheel from the owners of the parking lot.
Previously, a fee of 200 baht was illegally charged for entering Nui Beach (this is strictly prohibited under Thai law), but in early 2015 the police closed this business, and now you can get to the beach for free.
