Description and is it worth a visit

Phuket Mining Museum

The name of this museum can also be translated as the Museum of Mining Phuket. As the name obviously implies, it is dedicated to the mining of minerals on the island, the main of which was tin. In the past, Phuket was one of the tin-rich areas, and this greatly influenced its history, since this metal used to be in great demand. After getting acquainted with the exhibition, you can confidently say that Phuket would not be as multinational and with such a rich history as it is now if it were not for tin.

The museum was opened on the site of a dried-up mine, which is now also part of the exhibition. In addition to individual exhibits in the form of coins and ore items, many separate scenes with mannequins about the mining process and simple life have been recreated. On the street you can see the restored parts of the mechanisms and devices used in mining.

In general, this museum is for an amateur, besides there is little information in English, but if you suddenly find yourself not far from it, then why not look here.
