Kudepsta - one of the neighborhoods of the resort city of Sochi, a beach resort on the Black Sea. Kudepsta is located 20 kilometers from the center of Sochi on the outskirts of Adler practically on the border between Khostinsky and Adler districts (Kudepsta on the map).

Kudepsta is rather a small beach village with low-rise buildings, a quiet environment and beaches free from crowds of vacationers. Of course, there are pros and cons:

Beaches in Kudepsta

Local beaches do not differ in facilities and amenities, if you compare them, for example, with neighboring beaches in Adler. There are not many vacationers on them, there is an embankment, and a small amount of entertainment. There are pebbles and some gray sand on the shore. But, perhaps, the main disadvantage of the beaches of Kudepsta is their inconvenient location away from most options for tourist accommodation and the center of the village. Beaches on the Right Bank of the Kudepsta River

Most of the public beaches in Kudepsta are located on the Right Bank of the river (beaches on the right bank on the map). These are beaches "Robinson", sanatorium "Kudepsta" and "Avtomobilist". They are all public, and there is no obvious boundary between them, so they can be considered as one beach. To get here from the center of the village and from most accommodation options, you will have to walk 10-15 minutes on foot along the road, fences and barbed wire on a not very well equipped sidewalk. You can reach the beach by car, there is enough space for free parking.

On the shore and under water on these beaches there are medium and large pebbles, and only in places at a distance from the water's edge there is an admixture of gray sand. The coastline is broken by breakwaters into short sections, and along the beaches stretches an uncomplicated promenade with cafes, fast food sales and excursions. There are water activities, but they are few. In general, the beaches and the situation on them here are rustic and fully correspond to the reputation of Kudpesta as a quiet beach village, and nothing more.

The Left Bank is almost completely closed by the territory of the boarding house "Burgas", some kind of construction and railway, and further towards the center of Adler begins the closed coast of the sanatorium "Yuzhny-2". Only a small section of the coast with a length of less than 100 meters is available for visiting (public beach "Burgas" on the map). To get to it, you will have to go from the center along Epron Street through a maze of fences, obstacles and a railway. You can go here from the beaches on the Right Bank of the river, for which you will have to cross the river on the railway bridge (this is dangerous, the passage is officially prohibited), and then go along the railway tracks to the pedestrian crossing and exit to the shore. We will not describe these routes in detail, because it is not easy to do. Therefore, you will have to understand on the spot and ask for directions from locals and other tourists.

Beauty "Burgas" does not differ: around again concrete and devastation. But there are few vacationers, very small pebbles on the shore and coarse sand under water. However, be careful-under water there are still large stones and concrete. On the shore there is no entertainment and amenities, except for the area for guests of the pension "Burgas" a dozen meters from the water's edge. Infrastructure in Kudepsta

Kudepsta is a small village, but everything you need for rest and living is available here. The main part of the infrastructure is concentrated in the center of the village along the Sukhumi highway, where several shops are located, including chain supermarkets and electronics stores, cellular communication salons, a canteen and a cafe. This is the busiest part of the resort, but not very comfortable for walking and staying, because there is always a lot of transport.

For fresh produce and vegetables, head to the local Darwin Street Market, while tourist goods and fast food are sold from stalls and tents on the waterfront beaches on the Right Bank of the river, as well as on the way there. You can eat in cafes and inexpensive canteens, of which there are quite a lot in the resort. The sale of excursions, tickets and taxis can be found again in the center or on the waterfront. Just keep in mind that in the low tourist season, most tourist establishments do not work.

Tourist accommodation in Kudepsta is mainly represented by mini-hotels, private guest houses and apartments, there are no large hotels here. Weather in Kudepsta and tourist seasons

Kudepsta is a typical Sochi resort, where, in addition to beach holidays, there is not much to do. And accordingly, the trip here is best tied to the warm season.:

How to get to Kudepsta

Kudepsta is located in the south of Sochi, 20 kilometers from the city center and on the outskirts of Adler (Kudepsta on the map). Often Kudepsta is considered part and one of the neighborhoods of Adler, since there is really no clear border between the two resorts, and therefore the ways to get to them are very similar.

Just 15 kilometers from Kudepsta is the main airport of Sochi, where flights are operated from many cities of the Russian Federation and from abroad. If you prefer railway transport, then there will also be no difficulties with the trip, but you will need to go by train to Adler railway station. Unfortunately, there is no own railway station in Kudepsta, and therefore it will not be possible to get here from the railway station, airport or from other areas of Sochi by train. The last kilometers of the way directly to the place of rest at the resort you will have to do only by road – buses or taxis.

The airport is only a 20-minute drive from the center of Kudepsta, but the travel time can increase greatly during peak hours, which fall on weekdays in the morning and evening. Adler train station is only 8 kilometers from Kudepsta (Adler train station on the map), and drive from it in 10 minutes if there is no traffic. A taxi ride will cost from 250 rubles, on city buses No. 55, 105 (but not 105C), 115, 134, 117, 60 you can get from 28 rubles.

By bus to Kudepsta

There is no intercity bus station in Kudepsta and all buses pass through the area on the highway without stopping. Therefore, you can get here by intercity bus only with a transfer to a city bus or taxi in Adler or the center of Sochi. By car to Kudepsta

Personally, our opinion is that this should be done only for complex road trips with visits to several places, but just to relax you will get more difficulties than amenities and comfort.

If you still decide to go by car, then from Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities of the Western (European) part of the Russian Federation it is faster and safer to get along the M4-don toll Federal Highway. Directly in the village or microdistrict of Kudepsta there are no attractions at all except beaches and one interesting place – the ancient Circassian stone. Lovers of light hiking can walk around the nearest surrounding natural places, in particular, the route along the kudepsta riverbed is interesting.

Fortunately, the convenient location of the resort makes it easy to visit interesting places and attractions in neighboring Adler, Khost, and indeed throughout Greater Sochi. Circassian Cult Stone

The sacrificial Circassian Cult Stone is the only historical landmark in Kudepsta, it belongs to the megalithic structures of the dolmens. This is a protected architectural monument, and for esotericists also a place of power. The purpose and age of the stone is not exactly known, but only one thing is known – that nothing is known. Therefore, this object is overgrown with myths and guesses of local residents and tourists. He is credited with magical powers, tell stories about rituals and sacrifices. Nevertheless, even if you do not believe in all these beautiful legends, it is worth visiting the stone, if only because it leads to a beautiful and interesting path through the so – called "Fairy Forest", in which the world's tallest tree species grows-redwoods, as well as mosses, lianas. Next to the stone there is a small drinking ferruginous spring.
