In 1992, Krymshamkhalov moved to the then small village of Teberda, built a guest house here, and began to develop it as a health resort and a place for creative people. It is said that Chaliapin, Sobinov, Rachmaninov, Repin, Kuindzhi, Uspensky, Pavlov, Mendeleev rested in his house. Until 2012, there was a museum of mountaineering, but then it was transformed into a memorial house-museum dedicated to the life and work of the poet, although the old exposition about mountaineering was preserved. The ground floor periodically hosts exhibitions of local artists.
