Koh Samui and Phangan are separated by only 8 kilometers. The islands are even perfectly visible from one another. You can only travel between them by boat or ferry, there is no airport on Phangan.
From Koh Samui, ferries and boats to Phangan depart from several piers at once (you can read about all the piers of Koh Samui here). There are two piers on Phangan where ferries arrive – the main pier Thong Sala (Thong Sala Pier on the Phangan map), and a small pier on Haad Rin beach. The latter, of course, is more convenient if you plan to stay on this beach or come to Full Moon Party.
Ferry tickets can be purchased at any travel agency or hotel on Koh Samui, as well as on Phangan. Many of them even offer a transfer from the hotel to the pier, from where the ferry departs. In most cases, this is enough to know to apply from one island to another, especially since the commission of the travel agency is very small. But if you want to make this journey yourself, here is more detailed information about the piers and ferries:

Loprayah Company
It is a well-known and reliable carrier company in the region, besides it has the fastest boats that sail between the islands in just 20 minutes. Which is good, at the time of writing, the company offers a free transfer from hotels in Koh Samui to the place of departure when buying a ticket on their website.
They go to their own pier Lomprayah in the western part of Mae Nam Beach (Lomprayah pier on the map of Koh Samui), as well as from Nathon Pier (Nathon pier on the map of Koh Samui).
