Pong Phra Bat Natural Hot Springs are located just 15 kilometers from the center of Chiang Rai, and as far as we know, these are the sources closest to the city. They are well equipped for taking hot baths, perhaps without any frills in terms of service, but everything you need to get a lot of pleasure and possibly correct your health is here. In addition, bathing costs a mere penny, or rather "satangi": only 20 baht for a communal pool and from 70 baht for an individual room. And you can steam your legs for free. Also here you can buy eggs and boil them in natural boiling water, it costs 20 baht for a basket of 3 eggs. In general, the place is very cool and we definitely recommend visiting it. And if you drive along the road a little further, you will come to a small Pong Phra Bat waterfall and ecotrope.

🚶 How to get there
Pong Phra Bat Hot Srpings are located 15 kilometers from the center of Chiang Rai (Pong Phra Bat hot springs on the map). You can only get there by your own transport, public transport does not go here. In Chiang Rai, you can rent a car from 1000 baht (30.67 USD, money of Thailand, exchange rate) or motorcycle from 250 baht (7.67 USD), more details We talked about transport in Chiang Rai here... To get there, drive from Chiang Rai on Highway No. 1 to the northeast (towards the Golden Triangle) to the village of Ban Du and turn left to it. In two and a half kilometers there will be Pong Phra Bat hot springs. Parking is free.
