Description and is it worth a visit
Flower Market (Bangkok Flower Market or Pak Khlong Talat) is the largest flower market in Thailand. The counters here are littered with roses, lilies, chrysanthemums, exotic orchids and other unknown flowers. There is also a vegetable market under the same roof.
Thais are very fond of flowers, but unlike the European world, they are more often given here not to people, but presented as offerings in temples or used as decorations. That is why so many of them are sold here, cut to the very buds and packed in huge bags, assembled into wreaths and ornaments. They are also sold in the form we are used to, but since this is a wholesale market, they are offered here only in packages of 100 or more at incredibly low prices. But it is worth going out from the market to the street, and you can buy a small bouquet from street vendors at very good prices, too, but you will have to bargain for it.
In general, we can not say that this place is worth a mandatory visit, but if you have already seen everything in Bangkok and want something unusual, then it's worth a look here. You can also buy fresh ones here exotic fruits and vegetables, including fresh lemongrass and galangal for Thai Tom Yam soup. For example, 1 kilogram of lemongrass stems is sold here for only 20 baht (approximately 0.6 USD) .

🚶 How to get there
The market is located on the banks of the Chaopraya River on the outskirts of the Chinese Chinatown quarter (market on the map). You can get here without a taxi only by city buses or boats along the Chaopraya River. You need to go by orange line boats or boats without a flag to the Yodpiman Peir pier (see about boats in Bangkok). You can take the MRT underground subway to Hualamphong Station, and from there by taxi at a meter of about 80 baht (2.4 USD). It will cost the same amount to get to the market from tourist area Khaosan Road.
