Zmeikovsky waterfalls – this is a cascade of four waterfalls located for about one kilometer on the Dikarka River. They are located in the vicinity of Central Sochi, 20 kilometers by road, but in fact this is already the territory of the Khostinsky district, so it is convenient to visit them both from the center and from Khosta, Adler or Sirius.
Zmeikovsky waterfalls, like many others in Greater Sochi, are located on the territory of the Sochi National Park, so you will have to pay 200 rubles per person for the entrance to the conditionally equipped route (until 2021 it was 100 USD). In low season, sometimes you can go for free, because there is no one at the checkout. Well, if you basically do not want or can not pay, then you can pass the cash register along the riverbed.
There are four large waterfalls here, and between them there are several small water slides and waterfalls. To see them all, you need to go a simple hiking route along the canyon and along the riverbed. The most beautiful and largest is the farthest, and it is worth setting aside a couple of hours to go to it. If you do not go to it, then you can see the neighbors in 20 minutes, but it is not so interesting. In general, it is best to go here for half a day and plan a vacation in nature with a picnic and swimming in refreshing water in natural pools on the river or at the foot of waterfalls. Of course, you can swim only in summer, and even at its height the water is cool. You can also eat and relax in the cafe "snake" at the entrance to the waterfalls, and there is also a sauna and gazebos for recreation.
The route to the last waterfall is simple and accessible to everyone, but it is worth taking care of comfortable sports or hiking shoes, and it is better not to go here in beach slippers. It is also worth taking drinking water and a raincoat will not hurt in case of a sharp change in the weather. Trekking poles are optional here.

🚶 How to get there
Zmeikovsky waterfalls are located in the village of Izmailovka, 20 kilometers from the center of Sochi (Zmeikovsky waterfalls on the map. It is easy to get there on your own transport (there is free parking near the cafe or on the side of the road) or buses. There are two city bus routes here:
- No. 120 from the center of Sochi from the railway station approximately every 30 minutes;
- #123 from Olympic Park in Sirius, via Adler, Khosta and Matsesta every hour.
You need to go to the stop "waterfalls", and from it go to the cafe and the entrance to the route a little less than a kilometer in 15 minutes.
