What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting

Sea caves and rocks in Peyia (Peyia Sea Caves)

Also this place is known as Aiva Arches or Peyia marine reserve. This is a protected natural landmark, representing unusual rock formations on the shore. But, of course, it is not stones that are protected here, but Seals, which for some reason choose this place to rest during migration. The chances of seeing animals are minimal, and there are unusual rocks, stone arches, and the caves themselves are always in place.

Sightseeing begins with the caves, which are located right next to the road in a small bay. Be careful when inspecting and photographing them, since the walls of the cliff above the water are steep and collapse, it is better not to approach the very edge. You can not get into the caves themselves from this place, there is no equipped descent, but if you really want, you can go further along the shore, go down to the water, and go into some of them on the water. But be careful: this is dangerous because of the waves and the possible fall of stones.

Usually, most tourists are limited to viewing caves, but in fact this is only part of the attraction. You need to go along the coast along the path to the right (north) another 500 meters or so will take you to unusual rock formations and a small wild sandy beach. This is a very unusual in appearance and unusually picturesque place, especially at sunset.
