Baths of Aphrodite located far from Paphos on Akamas Peninsula, and actually refers to Polis town and Akamas National Park (Akamas), but successfully visited from Paphos. Moreover, this is one of the popular places for a trip with an excursion from Paphos, but, of course, it is best to combine its visit with other places in this part of the island, ideally take a walk through the Reserve on the Akamas Peninsula. But solely for the sake of seeing only the bath, you should not go so far.
This is a beautiful natural attraction - a grotto with a source emanating from the rock in the form of a small waterfall with thin streams of water. According to legend, it was here that Aphrodite took her baths, and it is believed that if you swim in the spring, you can stay young forever. Also, the locals believe that the source brings fertility. But swimming in it, unfortunately, is forbidden, as well as drinking water from it and the stone spring located next to the grotto is impossible, it is not drinkable. If you want to experience the power of the source, you have to take water in your container and pour it.
The path to the bath leads through the ennobled territory of the Botanical Garden with gazebos for relaxation. The botanical park is not very diverse and beautiful, there are no exotic plants here, and to an inexperienced eye it is no different from any Russian Forest Park. But if there is absolutely nothing to do, you can walk along a separate 200-meter-long walking ring trail (starts right at the entrance), or go to the bird watching point. From the entrance to the grotto itself there is also a path through the garden, which is easy to overcome in a few minutes.
From the Grotto also begins several hiking trails in the reserve, including the Blue Lagoon. If walking along the trails is not interesting, you can go down to the shore and relax on the Rocky-Pebble Beach of Aphrodite or in the cafe of the same name. Near the cafe there is a good free observation deck on the shore.

🚶 How to get there
Aphrodite's bath is located on the Akamas Peninsula, 50 kilometers from Paphos and 9 from Polis (bathhouse on the map. The road here leads through Polis and past the beaches of the town. The easiest way to see the baths with a tour, but you can get there by rented car, or, in extreme cases, by bus, but the road in one direction will take at least an hour and a half. The bus will have to make a transfer:
- First, take any suitable bus from Paphos to Polis (№649, №641 or #645), drive to the Polis Chrysoxous stop. These buses depart from Karavella Station, aka OSYPA Terminal, which is not in the tourist area (bus station on the map), and it, in turn, will have to be reached on foot or by bus from the Kato Paphos station Bus Station from the tourist area, there are many flights between them.
- At the Polis Chrysoxous stop, transfer to Flight No. 622 (runs several times a day according to the schedule, schedule here). The fare is 1.5 euros on each flight. Bus 622 comes almost to the bath, 10 minutes on foot.
For private / rented transport there is a spacious free parking in front of the cafe, there is also a bus stop. From the parking lot you need to walk a couple of minutes to the gate to the entrance to the park. If the gate is closed (it is almost always closed), open the gate yourself for pedestrians to enter. Further from the gate another 5 minutes along the path to the bath itself.
