Description and is it worth a visit
Golden Bridge or bridge on hands is one of the latest and most impressive man-made attractions near Da Nang. It was opened in June 2018, and although it is called golden, it immediately received the popular nickname "Bridge on hands", as the bridge seems to be supported in the air on the edge of a high cliff by huge palms of concrete. But the most interesting thing here is the breathtaking views and almost extreme sensations that open from it, because it is located at an altitude of 1400 meters. If you are lucky with the weather, then below you will see creeping clouds, and in the gaps between them Emerald rice fields, and even the ocean.
🕐 Working hours
The cable car for the ascent to the bridge is open from 07:00 to 22:00, seven days a week.
💵Entrance fee / ticket price
The bridge itself is not visited separately, it is just one of the locations in the amusement park on Mount Bana Ba or Sun World Ba Na Hills. Accordingly, to get to the bridge, you need to pay in full for the entrance to the park and the cable car. There are many different tickets available, from the cheapest entrance ticket with a cable car, to complex tickets with transfers, dinner and entertainment. Tickets are sold at the cable car station below, and include ascent/descent, access to the amusement park, and to the bridge. You can also buy tickets online on the official website and many other websites, but Russian cards are accepted only on the website Trip.com.
Minimum ticket prices on the official website:
- Adults – 922,000 VND / 35.03 USD
- Children are from 100 to 140 cm tall. and people over 70 years old – 728,000 / 27.66 USD.
Prices change frequently, check on the official website or on Trip.com before the trip.
🚶 How to get there
The bridge is located on the territory of Ba Na mountain resort, which can only be reached by cable car (bridge on the map). In turn, Ba Na itself is located 20 kilometers from Da Nang in central Vietnam. Even if you only want to visit the bridge and you are not interested in everything else on the mountain, you will still have to pay the full price for the cable car ride and access to the amusement park, as indicated above.
At the cable car station, you need to purchase a ticket and go up one of the three routes. Keep in mind that one of the cable cars leads directly to the very top of the resort, and from there to the bridge you will need to transfer to another short section, so it's better to choose the right one right away so as not to make unnecessary transfers. But even if you get confused, there's no problem - you can transfer and get to wherever you want at any time and for free.
In turn, there are several ways to get to Bana.:
The easiest and cheapest way is with a guided tour from Da Nang, Hoi an or Nha Trang. You can also get there yourself by rented transport or taxi (only from Da Nang or Hoi An). To do this, go to the Bana Cable car station (Ba Na Cap Treo), where there is free parking (cable car station on the map). The transport will have to be left there, since it is impossible to go up on your own transport, the road is closed.
There is also a city bus No. 03 running from Da Nang to Ba Na. It departs from Da Nang Airport, the fare is 30,000 dong. It runs every 15-30 minutes from 07:00 to 19:00. Check the current information on the official website of city buses here - https://www.danangbus.vn/roadmap.html. But what's inconvenient is that you'll have to get to the airport first, and the city buses run very poorly there, so you'll still have to take a taxi. Read more about Da Nang's urban transport, buses, and which taxi to use here.
And just in case, here are brief instructions on how to get here from other resorts in Vietnam:
- From Mui Ne or Phan Thiet. You can't go to see the bridge in one day, it's very far away. We will have to set aside 2-3 days for this, with an overnight stay in Da Nang. From Mui Ne to Da Nang, you can take buses from Phan Thiet bus station or buy a ticket directly from the Mui Ne resort area at street travel agencies, we recommend looking at Sinh Cafe. You can also get to Ho Chi Minh City Airport and fly to Da Nang by plane, or take a train. In any case, it will take at least 1 day to travel one way.
- From Nha Trang. It takes about 6 hours to drive from Nha Trang to Mount Ba Na, so theoretically it is possible to visit even within one day. There are tours for this, or you can book an individual taxi ride. You can also take buses to Da Nang (they run frequently), and there transfer to a city bus or taxi to Ba Na. And finally, there are planes from Nha Trang to Da Nang, but it will be more expensive.
- From Phu Quoc. Only to fly to Da Nang directly or with a transfer in Ho Chi Minh City, there are no other reasonable options.
Friends, we remind you that it is much more interesting to explore the sights of Da Nang through guided tours. You can watch the tours on these trusted aggregators with real reviews:
