Ba Na mountain and amusement park in Da Nang

Description and is it worth a visit

45 minutes drive from Da Nang 20 kilometers to the West is Mount Ba Na (Bana mountain on the map). Its height is 1478 m above sea level. In 1920, a French resort was built on its flat top, which became known as the second Dalat (Da Lat) or second Sapa (Sa Pa). The peculiarity of the mountain is that during the day Bana experiences all four seasons: in the morning-spring, in the afternoon-summer, in the evening - autumn and, finally, late in the evening - winter. The clouds rise only to the middle of the mountain, and at the top it is almost always clear and warm. This place is still popular for recreation and recovery of health of Vietnamese and foreign tourists, as well as an amusement park for children and adults Bana Hill Fantasy Park.

Mount Bana can be visited as a day trip, preferably for a full day, or stay in one of the hotels for a few days. Here you can walk between copies of ancient buildings (recreated the atmosphere and architecture of the old French resort), admire the views from the observation decks, visit the temple and the statue of the sitting Buddha 24 meters high, visit the wax museum, walk through the beautiful themed gardens, play golf, go through spa treatments and much more. In general, this place is definitely worth a visit, although you will have to stock up on money to see and try everything.

The most recent event on the mountain was the opening of a new attraction in June 2018-The Golden Bridge (Bridge on hand). This is a 150-meter-long pedestrian bridge built on the edge of a cliff, offering stunning views. The architecture of the bridge is also amazing: it seems to be supported in the air by huge concrete palms (Golden Bridge on the map).

True, there are several significant problems here. In the middle of the day, the resort is visited by a lot of local tourists and guests from China. They occupy literally every centimeter of space here, taking selfies everywhere and constantly, and making beautiful photos without their participation in your frame is out of the question. In addition, all the rides are occupied by them, and they unceremoniously climb without a queue, and if you do not do the same, there is a chance not to ride on any carousel. To avoid this, you need to arrive early, until they begin to be delivered on large tourist buses.

You can get to the top of Bana by cable car, which, by the way, is one of the brightest entertainments of this resort. Until 2010, there was the highest cable car in the world, listed in the Guinness Book of records (now the longest cable car in Armenia with a length of 5.4 kilometers). Its length is 5042 meters, height-1291 meters above sea level. Duration of ascent-15 minutes. Now there are as many as 5 cable cars: three for climbing up (arriving at different points) and two for moving between parts of the resort.
