Description and is it worth visiting
Dragon Bridge in Da Nang (Dragon Bridge) is one of the most impressive architectural attractions of the city, and a new symbol of the city. Its construction was dedicated to the 38th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang, celebrated on March 29, 2013. This is the sixth bridge in the city across the Han River.
Like other new bridges in Da Nang, it is built in a unique design, in this case in the form of a dragon stretching across the river and looking towards the South China Sea. At night it is very beautifully illuminated, changing colors to different shades. The bridge is perfectly visible from any point on the river in the city center and from other bridges.
You can cross the dragon bridge by transport or walk across it on foot, for which a wide sidewalk is equipped here. In addition to the view of the Dragon itself, the bridge offers perhaps the best views of the other two bridges: the Sail Bridge (Tran Thi Ly Bridge) and the Han River Bridge, which are also very beautifully illuminated. In the evenings, photographers "duty" here who can take your photo against the backdrop of the bridge and immediately print the photo. And in general, the nearest surroundings of the bridge are one of the most pleasant places for walking in this central part of the city, so we recommend that you definitely come here one evening during your vacation.
But that's not all! On Fridays and Saturdays at 21:00 there is a free show: the dragon breathes fire from the head side, and then generously sprays everyone with water. So that you don't get confused, the head is on the city center side, and the tail is on the beach side.
🕐 Opening hours
24/7, most interesting to visit in the evening. The fire and water show takes place on Fridays and Saturdays at 21:00.
💵 Entrance fee / ticket prices
Free.
🚶 How to get there
Located in the city center on the Han River (bridge on the map). It is quite far from the tourist area, 2 kilometers from the nearest point on the shore, but if desired, you can even walk in the evening along one of the central streets Vo Van Kiet. You can get there by taxi via apps from 30,000 dong.
We advise combining a visit to the bridge with a walk along the new Han River embankment (it stretches along the river from the Dragon Bridge to the beautiful Sail Bridge). Also, on the eastern side of the bridge (left on the map or closer to the beach) you can visit the Da Nang night market and the beautiful Love Pier location. You can find all these points on our Da Nang map.
