Description and is it worth a visit

Wat Mung Muang Temple

Mung Muang Temple or Mang Muang (Wat Mung Muang) is another in a series of important and ancient temples of Chiang Rai. It is believed that it appeared before the formation of the city in 1262, founded by Mengrai the Great. Locals believe that the temple protects the city, and an amazing story really happened in it: during the Second World War, the city was bombed, and 8 shells fell on the territory, but none of them worked, the temple survived.
