Tourist Park-Mallika Village

Mallika R.E 124 or simply Mallika city is a tourist park or attraction that recreates the atmosphere of a Thai city in 1905. In other words, it is something like an open-air museum, the prototype for which was the traditional Thai of the early twentieth century in the basin of the Chao Phraya River, on the banks of which Bangkok is located. But it cannot be said that this is Bangkok specifically, but rather a collective image of a traditional city, although it certainly has the features of today's capital of Thailand. Here they tried to recreate the architecture and atmosphere of that time, which, in general, succeeded. Even to pay inside the park for entertainment and food, you can not use modern Thai baht, they will have to be exchanged at the entrance for old satangs.

This is a relatively new attraction, clean and well-groomed, and so far little known to tourists. There are almost no tourists here, except that a lot of locals come for the weekend. You can spend a whole day here, during which you will just walk around the territory and take beautiful photos of remarkable places, and at the entrance you can rent a traditional colorful Thai costume for an additional fee, and spend all the time in it, which is very funny. You can also do harvesting in the field, shop at the old market, join the kitchen work, take a boat ride on the artificial lake, and watch one of the traditional shows. There are playgrounds for children, they will not be bored here either. Of course, there are several cafes with traditional Thai food and souvenir shops on the territory.

In general, there are very decent places among all the sights of the province of Kanchanaburi, and if there is an opportunity, be sure to look here.
