Description and is it worth a visit
This is one of the most revered and oldest temples in the province of Chumphon. One of its abbots was the famous monk and religious teacher Luang Pho Song Chanthasaro. It is said that after death (and he lived 94 years) his body was naturally mummified. Unlike many other mummified monks of Thailand, the body of Luang Pho Song Chanthasaro is lying, not sitting, and now it can be seen in a glass sarcophagus inside the temple.
The temple itself is small, but, like all other temples in Thailand, it is very beautiful.
